Synopsis

The Summary, Extended

1 "Day" can be anywhere from 1 chapter to 24 chapters. An action packed, nonstop tasks to be done throughout the day, is about 24 chaps. A Day that's spent grinding out new spells, formulas, or experiments can be anywhere from 1-7 chapters depending on how much I flesh it out.

The upload rate will be 3 chapters per week with a guaranteed mass release at the end of each month. Each chapter is at least 2.5k words, and some will even reach twice that. I'll try to write at least 5k words per day, but there will be some days that I'll work on the illustrations.

The reason for this upload rate is because I'll write about 5k-10k words, read through it thrice to make sure nothing is glossed over or I forgot to put something in, then split and post it. There's also some research/fact checking and calculations to be done on some chapters.

If the quality drops, bug me about it on discord. That must not happen no matter what; 'tis a taboo. I recommend binging once every month or two weeks until I get skilled enough and have enough time to do daily releases.

WARNING: This is just a rough draft for the comic. Although the novel has been refined to be presentable, the comic will have more details, mini dramas, and it'll also flow better. There is so much detail I need to put in, images can hardly express it all.

To put the above into perspective... Days 1 through 3 are about 5k words. Day 4 is 50.5k words. This is with me putting in 80% of the planned details.

Minor Warning: I've had reports of some readers becoming brain ded due to the complexity, only to have better brain cells after recovery. In other words, this book may unwillingly enlarge your brain... Good luck...

Comment whether I should upload one split chapter every two or so days, or the entire Day at once. The former means consistent uploads but massive cliffhangers. The latter means no cliffhangers whatsoever, but somewhat inconsistent uploads. I'll try to keep a stockpile of about 2 or 3 days to prevent this from happening though.

Each webnovel chapter (basically upload) will contain around 2k words. The original plan was to do one Day per upload, but that was scrapped when I wrote Day 4. One Day is basically one chapter, but because of the varying length of each Day, they may be split over multiple chapters.

Also comment whether or not you guys want the mini dramas. They're meant to be in chibi form with no relevance to the story, just pure fun, when implemented into the comic. Although occasionally I'll drop some massive hints to the main plot line of the entire book through them for the theory loving peeps. Mini dramas won't count as the chapter that's supposed to be uploaded that day.

As for the plot line... Well I'm thinking about making this boi last 10 years (so 3650 chapters) but at the very least 3 years. I'm still not sure. Anyways, each major plot line will last for a hundred or so Days, and there should be enough detail in the novel to guess the main idea within the first 20 or 30 Days. For the sub plot lines, it will last for 20 or 30 Days and within 7 max Days you should know where it's heading.

Mind heck note: The entirety of book 1 is just a setup for book 2, have fun!

Alright now for the common misconceptions that may occur.

Yes it is a harem, but it is a harem done right. No 2D characters (more about that down below), no falling in love with the mc just because they looked at him. The first wife won't be officially wed until a 100 Days or so. Second wife will be introduced a few Days before this, although she probably won't be wed for another 300 or 400 Days.

Also, no ntr or rap*. There'll be close calls, but the mc will thoroughly annihilate everyone and anyone who attempts to touch his waifu.

Important note: Mc gets laid on chapter 69. The comic will also have "The 69th Night" chapter... ;)

Now for the most crucial bit of info.

This isn't a story, it's a world. Yep, you read it right. A hecking world. This means there are no 2D characters.

There will be some cases of a random dude tripping and bumping into the mc, causing him to drop his food. Plot significance of this event? None. Effects? Mc will be frustrated, causing him to act rashly in some situations that may occur.

Also, there is no plot armor or other mc perks… because this is a world, not a story. What happens if the mc dies? Can he be resurrected? Yep, if it follows the rules of the world. Regardless though, the world will continue and so will this book.

Just because our boi is the mc, does not mean he can't lose nor does it mean he is invincible. Things like "mc should be this and that because he is the mc" do not exist. Just because he is overpowered, does not mean he is invincible. After all, the term "overpowered" requires a power structure so it can be defined.

So what would happen if this power structure was replaced? Would our boi still be "overpowered" according to the new power structure? (it can be replaced by a change in setting, whether it's a new dimension, continent, or planet).

For our boi, knowledge is power in the literal and figurative sense.

As for how the chapters are set up… Because this is the Memories of the Gluttonous Sage, Day 1 is considered chapter 1 and so on (only difference is length). There are no time skips. There will be lazy days where the mc does nothing or sleeps for the entire day though.

Bonus info: Some characters send memes and gifs, so I'll comment them on the lines where they are intended along with *sends image/gif* to mark the precise placement.

Bonus /s ducks /s info: I'll be trying to make this as scientific as can be. To the point our mc derives formulas for mana regeneration, magic circle usage, spell effects, etc. There'll be a variety of physics and math involved. Don't worry if you don't understand it, it's meant to be portrayed in the comic anyways (it flows better there). Also don't forget to question everything as even the smallest of things will usually be relevant later on.
