Marie put her head by the door trying to figure out the strange sound she was hearing. She had accompanied her grandma who was sick to the train station. Marie's aunt who was a nurse invited her for treatment and better care at the hospital she worked at.
Now she was back home and just when she was about to turn over the key she heard a strange sound, she moved her head towards the door but the noise she heard made it clear someone was inside the house. She walked over to the window to peep in when she noticed the window was wide open.
She thought about going in through the door, but she thought turning the lock would get the robbers attention so she decided to go in through the window.
"Who the hell are you and how did you get in here?" Marie asked, as she reached for a turning stick that was on the cabinet
She watched as the man choked on the water he was drinking, she took a closer look at him and just then it clicked. She had seen him in the bus few hours ago when she went to the store to get groceries, so the jerk was following her.
"You pervert, why have you been following me? Answer me before I call the cops" she pointed the turning stick towards him like it was of any good
"I.." Gabe tried catching his breath, "I don't want to hurt you, I just.." he paused again, trying to catch his breath
"What? Do you need food?" she asked "if you're hungry you didn't have to break into my house, you could have just simply asked" she scoffed
"I just need an information" Gabe said
"Are you like a journalist or something? And even if you are you don't have any right to break into my house"
"No I am not a journalist. I just need an information about the woman and the baby you were with the other day, it's very urgent as their lives are in danger"
Marie paused, she thought about the woman and her baby and immediately remembered Gabe was there, he was the same man that put Kaisha and her baby in danger because of some stupid information, how could he dare come back to ask her for their where about, who knows If he was even a serial killer.
"Wait, you're the man from the other day, you bloody freak, I'm calling the cops" she said as she dialed the numbers in the phone
"Don't call the cops I'm leaving already" Gabe said as he walked closer to her
Marie took steps back as she heard the call ring "Don't you dare come near me"
All Gabe wanted was to talk. He didn't ever think she would call the cops on him as far as he was concerned he was never going to hurt her or do anything that would let the cops question him and expose his boss.
"This is 911, what's your emergency" a voice said loudly from the phone, triggering Gabe to run towards Marie.
As he pointed his hands towards her trying to make a gesture for her to take the phone away from her ear, a strong force came out of his hand and threw the phone out of Marie's hand making it scatter on the tiled floor. Gabe paused and stared at his hands, something really strange was happening and he didn't know how, or what he just did.
"I" he muttered
Marie froze, now everything made sense to her, at the incident that happened the last time it wasn't a hoax but it was very real, and he was the one who emitted such powers.
"I'm sorry I don't know what's happening, I don't even know how I did that" Gabe said
"Get away from me, you freak, get far away from me" Marie shouted as she stood up to run out of the kitchen to her room. Gabe followed after her, making her panic. She turned over and while boiling with rage she stared at him as he approached her, before Gabe could take another step closer he starts floating in the air
"Oh My God, This isn't real Marie, This isn't real" Marie cried to herself, "is this a movie? are you trying to prank me?" Marie asked Gabe who was trying to get down from the air
"You can come down now if it's a prank, it worked" Marie added
Gabe tried to get down but couldn't just then he figured Marie was the one keeping him up with her senses because she was mad at him.
"I'm not the one doing this, I think it's you" Gabe said anxiously
"Me? Me!" She scoffed with her heart beating fast as she snuffled, "You've gone crazy, you need to get out of here, get out and stop whatever you're doing" She screamed
As she raised her voice it sent waves over that swiftly carried Gabe further, making him hit his head on the ceiling.
"Ouch, that hurt, Now do you see it is you who's doing this or why would I want to hurt and make a fool of myself" Gabe said
"You're lying. How's it that during the moments I needed to fight for myself and prove my innocence I didn't have such power" she chuckled "It's not me"
"Okay daisy, I hear you. But you have to stay calm and try being happy at me and let's see how that goes" Gabe said
Marie didn't want to listen at first but then she thought about what Gabe said, why would he want to float in the air when he could be attacking her or getting the information he was desperate for.
"S.. so I don't even know what I'm supposed to do" she said angrily, making Gabe float down and up.
"You have to try being happy at me, or try using your hands"
"I can never be happy at you" Marie said
Gabe furrowed his brows "Okay, then use your hands"
Marie raised her hands towards Gabe's direction and took a deep breath in, a part of her wanted it to not work but another part hoped it would. She felt her heart fly out her chest when she saw Gabe float towards the direction her hands went.
"See I told you, now let me down" Gabe said
Marie chuckled "Okay"
Gabe already knew she was about to do something to hurt him, maybe fling him out the window, before he could say a word, he felt his head hit the ceiling so hard.
"What are you doing?" Gabe shouted
"Letting you down" Marie replied
"Uhm, okay. That doesn't sound too convincing" Gabe said
She flipped her hands down swiftly making Gabe hit his back on the floor hard.
"Ouuch" Gabe groaned, as he tried to get up, he could feel pain all over his body.
Marie felt satisfied seeing him hurt as he struggled to get up. She was about to ask him who he was and what was going on, when she noticed him trying to use his powers on her, immediately she saw him raise his hands, she raised hers too and they sent a force from their hands that threw every object across the room but instead of throwing them far apart the force threw both of them closer making them hit their heads. Marie was now lying on the floor and Gabe was on top of her.
They both maintained the position and stared at each other, they could feel something asides their heartbeat, a feeling they both felt the first time their skin touched.
"Shit" Gabe exclaimed as he rolled down from Marie. He could hear the siren, the cops were around already. He stood up and stared briefly at Marie trying to understand who she was and what his connection with her was, then he made his way out through the window.
