Chapter 35 - Flunked

Sung-Ho:)

"What are you talkin' about? Get to the point," I didn't understand what he was confiding, kinda mixed up with his phrases.

He gulped down the lump and struggled to deal with this occurrence or could say the plan that he failed in.

"Nothing, it's all went wrong, I'm tired wanna sleep," his tone whistled contrarily which was reasonable to let me smell the happening that prompted his frustration.

"Oh, please spill the beans," I had enough of tantrums, so my straight tone helped me a little not he frightened the act that I pulled before an hour I guess.

His eyes scanned me that showed full of disgusting look.

"Don't give me that look, tell me," now I guess I would be the one to get angry, shout at him, punch him because his eyes spoke out everything for me.

He said, by deterring the eye connection, "I planned something for you two, to get a glance by some means, but I came to know that she didn't get out for shopping so..." a long pause was testing my patience, but my doubtful glance never left him.

...so I was pissed off that's all," shit this guy was never going to get things their way, always planning out something off.

I was happy after getting to know that I would see her but the sudden change, changed the expression on my face.

I even couldn't do anything here, only to console him, Justin never failed to prove our friendship, such a great friend I had.

"That's alright, soon we will away," I comforted him by patting his bareback, passing a smile too, which he returned with the same emotions.

"Go sleep, good night."

Jin-Ae:)

"Hey, Ari? What's up?" I getting ready for hanging out with besties but the sudden interruption caused me gritted teeth, but as soon as the glance of Ari fell insight, I instantly picked it.

"Jin-Ae, mom is asking for you, she is angry moreover Ji-Hoon isn't here, I didn't want to cause any disturbance but she breaking things, come fast," Shit, why she appeared all sudden and asked for myself, for one month she didn't behave as if she had a daughter, but what got inside her. I was getting annoyed by my negative thinking.

'What if something wrong happened there? Will she gonna force things again?'

Getting out of the room, I took a glance at them both, conserving with drinks.

I need to go home, I have to, so I cleared my throat to get their attention, and they did notice my presence but instead of asking me for the worry that would have all over my face, they offered me a seat for drinks.

"Min Bae, I'm sorry I have to make it to my place right now, gotta catch you guys soon," I cracked in between but I managed to say out under one breath so they couldn't be able to guess my worry.

"What happened?" Min asked following the path in my direction. While keeping hands over my shoulders, her concerned look she asked me out with those eyes which showed off the worry for me.

Twisting my lips upward, I said, "That's all right but Ari needs my help, and I guess that was urgent as she sounded. I'm sorry next time I promise to spend the whole day with you," I adjusted a little, and peeked at Bae who held the expression, but my smile changed her look too.

"Bye," grabbed my purse and pursued my steps outside the apartment towards the parking area.

"Bye."

_______________

Disappointment hit Min so hard that after she also cancelled the plan to hang out, Bae also understood her entirely and got out for some groceries.

"I need to call Justin," she whispered while resting on her bed.

And she did.

"Hello, Justin?" she muttered half-heartedly.

*Hey, babe, Is everything alright? Why does your tone say that something is off?* his question raised an obvious thing. *Don't stay silent, speak up, * after throwing some moments of silence in between them, she spoke and said out that their plan failed," Jin-Ae, had to make it to her place so I guess she would not go out with us and I also cancelled the plan. I'm sorry it was as I expected," her voice clenched, tightened at every word she let out.

"That's alright," he whispered and soon they cut the call.

______________

"WHERE IS SHE?" her shouts dropped in my ears, at the moment when I stepped into the living area.

Jae was drunk so that's might be the situation to let go of her anger because she showed at home after almost the count of a week.

Clicking the sound of my heels, made her catch my presence and as well as Ari and Jee-Ho too.

"Jin-Ae, " Ari softly muttered with a smile on her face.

"So, how are you? Happy with your professor boyfriend? huh?" her questions, her sarcastic taunts angered me to the high, and with a reddening face, I moved further in her direction.

"So here's you and your drunk self, such an alcoholic woman," and I did the same but my voice was calm than hers.

Her laughter and those hateful looks didn't help me not to boil out in anger.

As she raised her hand for some reason, I noticed the wine bottle, and some curse words I threw in her way.

"Such a pathetic lady, I, sometimes feel bad at your condition, the lady who dreamed about fame, money, is now being busy with alcohol and don't know what," I knew it was so harsh to let our but I couldn't see her like that, sickening the environment here.

"Watch your tongue, I'm your mother," now she was realising that I had any relation with her, some dreadful chuckles left my way too.

Handling my chuckles not to turn into laughter, I inhaled a deep breath.

"So it means I'm your daughter right? But before any misunderstanding falls in between us, let me make something clear, the day you pressurised me to against my happiness, I lost you, you as a mother, as a family member, it not because you caused me pain, suffering but you forced everybody out here to walk down your path. Dad, brother and me what else you need, if your count yourself as my mother then I guess I had no issues with it but remember one thing I don't consider as a good human being too so better to keep these words to yourself," the feeling of giggles a few minutes ago soon turned in a warning tone.

Her silence gave me a thought of might she would realise her doings, might be she would ask for forgiveness for destroying this family.

But her sayings proved everything wrong.

"I guess then you don't need to live under the same roof as me-" her words were interrupted by Ari, she never spoke in between but her words didn't have my attention as I was too shocked to take her words.

"Mom? What are you saying?"

"Huh? What? oh, wait do you hate me too, like these persons? huh?" my tolerance bad tolerance for her bullshit so I spoke for her.

"Your drunk state doesn't know what you are speaking up, so please get asleep," holding Ari's hand we soon moved towards my room, because I didn't want her to talk any shut about Ari.

__

"I'm sorry, Jin-Ae, I didn't know you would have arguments with her," she wrapped her arms around my figure, and I laughed at her.

Soon I cupped her face and whispered," It's okay, you know I'm already adjusting myself with her hatred for me, and I'm so glad you called me otherwise she would be cursing you," I comforted her while moving towards the bed.

"Alright, I guess she would be gone, let's get out I'm hungry," I said while my hands rubbed my tummy as it created some sounds which indicated to me that I was hungry for long.

"Yeah, but let me see if she went or still her," I nodded and she sneaked through the door and hadn't had her sight in there.

"Come, she isn't here," we walked downstairs while humming a song together, with no regret over the argument I just had with mom.

"Aunt? Where is she?" I asked as her presence was nowhere to be seen as well as her room lights were off that did mean she was off somewhere.

"She walked out, I don't know where," she mumbled while serving us food.

I nodded and got busy eating.

"Ari, don't let a brother know about this, I don't want him to waste his time fighting with mom, he is aggressive whenever I mention the fight with her," Ari let loose some giggles while spooning a spoon with food.

"I know and I won't tell, but I must say that he is such a caring brother, you lucky girl," smiling at her response, I hugged her from the side.

"What are you two talking about? a voice broke in us.

We turned to catch the glimpse of that person, and the sight in front made me utter a word.

"Brother?"
