Chapter 24 - Saving Irvine

At that moment, the Sunset Gorilla launched another attack. The coconuts shot out like cannonballs.

When it was attacking him, Lorne used Wind Escape and Magic Shield to resist frantically.

With his current magic power, resisting these things was very simple.

Although Lorne was fine, the Magic Shield in front of him was getting crushed.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Lorne felt his scalp go numb as he listened to the sound.

"I'll risk it," Lorne thought, and began to show what he had just thought.

He dispersed the wind blades and used only a little of the ice element's energy to form a cold wind.

The icy blue wind was like a Sunset Gorilla defending its net and froze the water in the vines.

Before long, the green defensive net turned blue.

The strange vine that had lost its moisture was no longer as tough as before. Lorne threw a wind blade at it.

The net shattered like ice.

"I've broken your annoying green net. Let's see if you can still laugh!"

The Sunset Gorilla, which was still laughing hysterically, changed its expression.

They shouted angrily but the freezing wind had not only frozen the huge net.

There were even coconuts piled on the ground, frozen.

The Sunset Gorillas could no longer think of throwing like before.

Without the protection of the huge net and the attacking methods of the coconuts,

the Sunset Gorillas began to cry out anxiously. Lorne didn't care.

He picked up the vine in his hand and lashed out at the Sunset Gorillas.

Even the powerful Sunset Gorilla was afraid of the green vine's whipping.

The Sunset Gorilla, which had lost its way of attack, was whipped to the ground by Lorne.

"I told you to hit me with a coconut!"

Lorne cursed as he huffed.

"How dare you laugh at me!"

"I told you to kidnap Irvine!"

"I'll let you draw circles on Irvine's face!"

...

At the sight of Lorne's brutal side, Irvine shivered in her net.

She hadn't expected this side of Lorne but when he heard Lorne speak for her.

Her expression changed again. She was looking at the devil.

It was as if she wasn't looking at her savior, her eyes were full of caution.?check

After venting his anger, Lorne tied the three Sunset Gorillas to one side.

The three Sunset Gorillas were begging to Lorne pitifully.

"Be quiet!"

Lorne shouted angrily.

Hearing his shout, the three Sunset Gorillas didn't dare to say another word and just laid quietly on the ground.

After dealing with the Sunset Gorillas, Lorne came to Irvine and froze a small piece of the net that was wrapped around her with the freezing wind.

Then, he used a wind blade to open a hole in the net and Irvine fell through it.

Lorne caught her and held her like a princess in his arms.

Because of the screams of the Sunset Gorillas, Blumer and Durkelon, who were knocked unconscious, had already woken up.

After waking up, Blumer saw that Lorne had already saved Irvine, with the tied-up Sunset Gorillas beside him.

He also felt relieved. As long as Irwin was fine, he couldn't say anything.

Seeing Irwin's red face, Blumer revealed a gratified smile.

It seemed that Irvine had taken a fancy to Lorne but this guy next to him was a problem.

As he thought about it, he turned to look at Durkelon.

Durkelon, who had just awakened, watched as the woman he loved was held in Lorne's arms.

Their intimate behavior seemed to be slapping his face, making him feel as if his face was being roasted by flames.

"Damn it, if it wasn't for the Sunset Gorilla knocking me out, I would have been the one who saved Irvine!"

"This commoner actually dares to snatch her from me. Just wait, I'll definitely make you pay!"

"And Irvine, after all the time I've been chasing you, hasn't reacted at all. Now that you have been rescued by a commoner, you are starting to fall for him. I'm going to make you regret it."

Durkelon clenched his fists. He couldn't beat Lorne. He could only resent it.

If he jumped out now, he would be the one to be slapped in the face and killed, so he had to calm down.

If he exposed himself now, Lorne would kill him here, even if the family eventually found out.

However, Lorne's background was unknown. If there was someone behind him, he would be in trouble.

At this thought, he put down his clenched fists. This was not his place.

When they reached Setting Sun City, he would teach Lorne a lesson, even if he was no match for him.

However, as the heir of the Kerr family, it would not be a problem to let his guards attack Lorne.

Now was not the best time for revenge. He chose to endure.

When Blumer looked at him, he was smiling at Blumer.

It was as though everything in front of him was just a passing cloud. Seeing his expression, Blumer didn't say anything, only nodding slightly.

Then he ran toward Lorne and Irvine.

Seeing Blumer run away, Durkelon clenched his fists tightly.

"If it weren't for that stubborn old man, Blumer, I might have already lived a shameless life with Irvine. Just you wait, I'll definitely make you regret it!"

No one paid any more attention to Durkelon after Lorne saved Irvine.

Blumer came to Irvine's side and coughed lightly as he looked at Irvine, who was blushing in Lorne's arms.

"Ahem, are you alright, Irvine?"

Hearing her father's voice, she immediately reacted.

She broke from Lorne's embrace hurriedly and said to Blumer,

"Father, thanks to Lorne, I'm fine."

After answering Blumer's question, Irvine turned around and bowed to Lorne.

"Brother Lorne, thank you for saving me just now. If not for you, I don't know what would have happened to me."

As Irvine spoke, she fell against Lorne's chest, as if she'd just been wronged.

Only Lorne's chest gave her a sense of security and he could feel a hint of warmth from Irvine's body.

Lorne gently touched her shoulder and comforted her softly.

"It's alright. I'm here. I'll protect you."

In Lorne's arms, the shy Irvine replied softly, "Yes."

Her voice was as soft as a mosquito, as if she was a little kitten.

Seeing how intimate the two of them were, Blumer didn't want to disturb them but right now, there was someone who did want to disturb them.

"Uncle, it's getting late. We should go back and rest."

It was Durkelon who spoke, of course. Hearing his words, Irvine broke shyly from Lorne's embrace.

Blumer nodded as well. "It's getting late. Let's go back and rest."

Looking at Blumer's questioning gaze, Lorne nodded.

"Okay but I need to deal with the Sunset Gorillas first. We can leave later."
