Sachiko saw a boy sitting on a tree and trying to catch some fish as she walked in a random direction. The boy had big brown eyes, green hair, and a warm skin tone. He was wearing a green jacket with reddish edges, green shorts, and green laced boots.
As Sachiko approached him, he tilted his head slightly and asked curiously, "I haven't seen you around. Are you a visitor?"
Sachiko wasn't sure what she should be replying to him. Saying the truth was off-limits but it wasn't like lying was easier. There was also a chance that Gon wouldn't believe her. So, Sachiko could only decide to reply vaguely. It was better to seem like a mysterious person than a creepy liar. She decided.
"I'm not from this island. It's just that I got lost and ended up here."
"Oh"
"Yeah, I'm Nakamura Sachiko by the way. Nakamura's my surname and the given name is Sachiko." Sachiko said with a smile.
Gon smiled and introduced himself, "I'm Gon!! Gon Freecss!"
"Nice to meet you, Gon!!"
"Nice to meet you, too!"
Sachiko then asked in a curious tone although she already knew what Gon was up to. "Are you trying to catch some fish?"
"Yeah, Aunt Mito said only when I can catch the master of the swamp, I can go to Hunter's exam." Gon explained and Sachiko nodded her head to fake interest.
"I see. I'm thinking about going to the hunter's exam too." She said and it was true. Although System didn't give any missions on taking hunter's exam, she knew it would happen sooner or later as she was already in Hunter x Hunter world. And since the protagonist is also taking the exam, she knew it would follow the canon more or less. This meant that she could use her knowledge about the exam to her advantage. This was her chance.
Sachiko chuckled when Gon enthusiastically said, "That's great! We can go to the exam together!"
"It sounds like a good idea." She replied.
"Right, you look a lot younger than me. How old are you?" She asked even though she already knew the answer.
"I'm twelve!"
"I'm nineteen," Sachiko said.
After hearing that, Gon looked a bit surprised.
"I thought you were like sixteen."
"Thanks, I guess."
At that moment, the fishing pod moved as if something was caught.
"It moved!!" GON squealed in joy as he tried to pull the fish out of the water. The fish was HUGE and they both knew it was the master of the swamp as soon as they had a glimpse of it.
As the fish caught was the master of the swamp, pulling it out of the water wasn't easy. Gon used his super strength to get it out and Sachiko watched in silence. She could have helped him out if she wanted to but she knew Gon would've preferred to do this himself. It was his way to prove that he was ready for the exam, after all.
After a few minutes of struggling with the fish, Gon finally managed to get it out of the water. So, he could now say he successfully caught it.
"I'll go tell Aunt Mito now. Do you want to come along?"
"Sure," Sachiko casually replied.
When they got to Gon's house, Aunty Mito welcomed Gon with a smile.
"Gon! You're back." She then looked at Sachiko and asked, "And who might this be? I believe we haven't seen each other."
Sachiko put on a smile as she replied, "My name is Nakamura Sachiko. The surname is Nakamura. I'm not from the island. It's just that I got on the wrong boat and ended up here."
"She said she's going to the Hunters exam with me!" Gon said enthusiastically.
"You want to be a hunter too?" Aunt Mito asked, surprised.
"Yeah."
"Right, Gon, you can't go to the exam until you catch the master of the swamp." Aunt Mito reminded but Gon said with a smile, "But I've already captured it!"
He then showed the master of the swamp.
"You really caught it. Alright, you can go." Aunt Mito sighed.
"I'll go tomorrow! Is that okay with you, Nakamura San?" Gon asked.
"It's fine, but I don't have a place to stay for the night," Sachiko said.
"You can stay here for the night." Aunt Mito said.
"Thanks!" Sachiko said with a smile.
---------------------
That night, Sachiko let her thoughts wander. She thought of her memories of her previous life on earth and reading Jujutsu Kaisen and Hunter x Hunter. She felt a bit of sadness at the thought of her death but she knew this was her another chance to live.
Well, she might as well live a meaningful life this time.
Tomorrow , she was going to leave for Hunters exam to maximize her advantage of knowing the storyline.
"Am I even ready for exam?" Sachiko asked herself before shaking her head slowly with a sigh.
She was far from ready, she knew it. She bsrely had any practice in using cursed energy. She did not know much about combat, let alone have experience in it.
"I need to practice. I need a few moves and tricks up my sleeve." She told herself.
"System , can you show me my stats again?" She asked.
"Name : Nakamura Sachiko
Alias : None.
Age : 19
Relationships : None.
Hunter level : Not accessible yet.
Jujutsu sorcerer level : Not accessible yet.
Cursed technique : Cursed energy manipulation (Novice)
Cursed energy : 995/1000
Cursed energy reserves rank : E
Curse points : 0
Cursed tools : None.
Skills : None."
"Cursed energy reserves ? Is that a new feature?" Sachiko muttered.
System didn't answer this time so Sachiko took a note to figure it out herself. 'I used 10 units of cursed energy but only 5 units have been refilled. Maybe the rank has something to do with how fast I can refill my cursed energy?' She guessed. 'If that is true, I have to be careful when I use cursed energy. If I run out of it, I will be in trouble. I will have to be careful even when I train. I don't want to use up all energy'
'Sh*t, I have to leave tomorrow which means I have to save at least half of it. I don't have many shots.'
Sachiko tried to think of a move which can help her defend herself or make an escape. Earlier, she practiced making small daggers out of cursed energy so she decided to skip the offense part for now.
'In Jujutsu Kaisen, jujutsu sorcerers enhance themselves by using cursed energy. What if I use that but only on some parts of the body? Like legs or hands?'
Sachiko then sneaked out of the house to practice.
She ended up using one hundred units of cursed energy but she somewhat succeeded in enhancing her legs with cursed energy. She can now move faster than before and balance herself better on the ground. She still couldn't enhance her whole body with cursed energy but she felt like she could with a bit more practice.
She went back to the house about an hour before sunrise.
---------------------
In the morning, Gon and Sachiko went to the port.
As Gon waved to the people from the island, Sachiko remembered what Aunt Mito said to her.
"Please look after Gon. I know you have no obligation to do so but please do me a favor." She said.
"Only for the hunter's exam," Sachiko replied with a sigh. It wasn't like she dislike Gon or anything but she had her own life and adventures, too. There was no way she could always keep an eye on a kid.
Aunt Mito also seemed to get this, thus, she didn't say anything else. She still thanked her anyway.
Sachiko shook her head slightly as she tried to savor the beautiful view of the ocean. She breathed in the fresh air and felt the light breeze on her skin.
Her mood was extremely good. Then, she remembered she hadn't spun the lucky wheel.
'System, open the lucky wheel'

Sachiko was amazed by the prizes available. Everything looked good.
'Alright, spin it'
'Lucky spin is complete. Host receives cursed technique: Time manipulation Eyes.'
Sachiko heard the system's voice and after that, she felt a piercing pain in her left eye. Only after a few minutes, the pain subsided. Sachiko went to look at the mirror quickly and saw the difference from her usual appearance. Her shoulder-length silver hair was still the same but instead of both her eyes being hazel, her left eye had changed. The purple color eye had replaced the previous hazel and if one looked clearly into her eyes, they would see the clocks ticking.
"Should I cover this up?" Sachiko wondered.
"It would be better if I covered this up for now. I still don't know how to use this power and I don't want to risk getting out of control. Manipulating time sounds dangerous." She thought. Then, she pulled out some bandages she packed in her bag and wrapped it around her left eye.
