Nothing in life is ever a coincidence. Everything that happens is linked together. If I had realized that sooner, I would have enjoyed everything that happened a lot more. I remember the first day our paths crossed. It was a totally ordinary morning, right at the end of summer vacation. My mom's a makeup artist, and she was prepping for some kind of high-profile photoshoot and of course, she forgot her extra makeup kit â the one with all the best palettes. So, I was playing delivery girl instead of sleeping in.
Yi Rong called her mom asking the floor on which the studio was but her mom disconnected the call. Strange! She probably had to help someone. She gave her another call and got her reply. Her mom hastily told her that they were on the 22nd floor and thanked her for being such a helping daughter. Yi Rong's school won't start until next week, so she surely isn't that busy. Yi Rong hung up the call and got out of her car, having just arrived at the building. It's a quick trip up the elevator to the photo studio on the 22nd floor, and the studio was busy.
Yi Rong's eyes scanned the room filled with people for her mom. Just then, her mom suddenly appeared out of nowhere and thanked her for bringing her the second makeup kit. Her mom informed that they had got a really big client that day that she didn't want to disappoint. Her client wasn't there yet, so Yi Rong just saved the day. Yi Rong was starving since she skipped her breakfast for doing the delivery so she thought of grabbing some food in the room for staff. After eating some filling food, she went to her mom informing her of her departure. It's summer vacation, so she of course had to catch up on sleep.
Yi Rong headed down the elevator. On her way out of the building, she spotted a coffee shop. The delicious smell of coffee drew her in, and she happily pushed open the door to the shop, stepping inside without a second thought. Two people were ahead of her in line â an uninteresting man and a girl who seemed strangely familiar. The girl's smell was mesmerizing Yi Rong and she decided to make a move and ask the girl about the perfume she was wearing. But before she could ask, the man in front turned around too quickly, spilling coffee all over the front of the girl's shirt and the girl yelped in pain. The man stared at her, mouth agape, and then quickly ran out of the coffee shop without speaking a word. Being a nice girl, Yi Rong lent a helping hand. She grabbed napkins from the counter and began to wipe down her shirt, until the girl pulled away from her, pushing her hands away. The girl shouted angrily, "Please don't touch me." Taken aback, Yi Rong asked if she was hurt somewhere. In response, the girl just mumbled, "No, no, it's justâŠ" She looked down at her shirt, and Yi Rong followed suit. Her bra was slightly visible through the coffee stain. Yi Rong understood immediately and offered her to take a spare shirt that she'd got in her car.
Before the girl could reply, she dragged her out of the coffee shop and stopped at your car. She covered her chest with her arm the whole way there, looking around peculiarly. Yi Rong told her to climb into the back seat so that she could change and gave her the spare shirt. The girl replied with a strange answer: "Oh Wow. I half-thought you were about to kidnap me. There's no paparazzi hiding out around here, are there?" Yi Rong smiled and replied that her mom was the one in showbiz, well, sort of â behind the scenes at least. She'd never really been interested in what was on TV. Amazed, the girl asked her if she didn't watch TV at all. Yi Rong did watch some cooking shows sometimes but was confused about where the conversation was going. She anyways handed over the shirt to the girl. Her top was so cute, and now it's all stained. When Yi Rong turned, the girl had let down her hair and removed that hideous hat. Yi Rong could help thinking how beautiful she was. Her raven hair was draped over her shoulders, and Yi Rong could see her stunning, crystalline eyes for the first time. Flustered, Yi Rong looked away politely, making sure not to look at her as she changes her shirt, even if she was tempted. The girl tapped on her shoulder with a smile after she was done changing.
