"You seem to be doing well, I'm impressed." She smiles as she tries to balance a stack of books on her head. Thinking about it, Lithia always falls when the books are too many.
Just how balance is this woman? "She's a fast learner, Your Majesty. She's lucky that you see the potential in her." Lucyl Fenerancia. The one who trained me and my sister about proper etiquette everyday.
She's strict, but favors no one, even me.
I was pissed by her face, that I wanted to just ditch her teachings every morning. But it was interesting to see Lithia, failing the class lessons. And they said she's smart enough. Smart my ass.
"Princess Lithia must be doing well right now." I crossed my arms, looking at my maid who's smiling brightly while practicing.
"As usual, that good for nothing will always do well. She's a princess and my sister after all. Protected by father and always be loved by mere citizens." Did I stutter? No.
"You're always the same, Princess Tia. But maybe your words are just the opposite of what you wanted to say."
"I wouldn't care much to a fool like my sister, Madam Lucyl. You know I merely came to your session to see how far she could push her idiocy."
"That's my own entertainment." She looks at me as she gently clap her hands. Looking back at my maid, she ended up the session.
"I will come back tomorrow, Your Majesty." I didn't talk back as I don't want to. Bear with it.
"I'm not here just to see you perform. It's just a coincidence, that I've been invited to a grand gathering. You must come along with me as you didn't have a choice."
"I just bought you tons of clothes, haven't I? Dress up and clean yourself. I can't stand you being sweaty all over."
She bows slightly as I went straight ahead to father's chamber. "FATHER! Oh.. I was not informed about you, having visitors, father. Please forgive me." I said while bowing slightly.
"Who teach her that kind of manners? Shouting too loud like a commoner, like her mother." I heard the Duke's whisper as he looks at the Emperor, smiling.
"Pardon? I didn't hear that well." I'm not deaf, but my ears aren't really working well when it hears some shitty stupid mongrels.
"Princess Tia looks stunning as always." He smiles as he turns his back. The audacity of this fucker.
"Unless you're close to me, you must call me, 'YOUR HIGHNESS' Duke of whoever family you are." He should be thankful that he sees my expensive smile. It's a rare view. Father's eyes widened as soon as he heard those words.
"That father of whoever family you are, is my father, Your Majesty." A young man stood up, bowing slightly in front of me.
"Am I talking to you? A son of whatever your family name is?"
"TIA." Father stands up as he walks towards me. He gestured with his hands as if he was about to slap me. My stares, however, bring him to a halt as he taps my right shoulder softly.
"Can we talk later on?" His eyes were begging. He must know that I'll create a trouble.
"And this is how you rule your people? To look down on you and mock your daughter and your wife in front of you? How pathetic, father." Bring my mother's name and it'll be war.
"You pretend that you didn't hear what he said and forgive him because he's useful to you?" My father is a COMPLETE MORON.
"Why are they even here for?" My attention was drawn to a shadow on my back. So this gathering is for her. I glare at the duke once again.
"You picked a wrong candidate for Lithia, father. The father is a Geranium [Stupid] while the son is a Corpse Flower [Ugly]. What a disaster."
"As for you, fix the attitude of your soon to be father-in-law." I whisper as I pass besides her. My troubles aren't just limited to the palace.
But also to the people who never kneel in front of me. In short, I will never show mercy to anyone. Even father.
"Why are you here?" Mother asked as soon as she saw me. "I might go home late, Your Majesty. Please take care." I'll make sure to treat myself as I'm still being nice.
I usually don't take things lightly as I'll order a knight to cut his tongue off. He should be grateful that he's a Duke of whoever he belongs to.
Or I might kill him with my bare hands.
I get back to my room as I started to retouch my makeup while fixing my hair. I look too stress, but other than that, I'm still looking like a Goddess. Would you look at that~
"I'm done, Your Majesty." She smiles as she bows slightly. I cupped her cheeks as I pressed it gently. "I'm a little thankful that your face doesn't resembles my sister. It's just your soft personality that is bothering me. Fix that."
As much as I want to bother the arrange marriage, but I'm too beautiful to make an ugly man cry. But I like to see his priceless face tho.
As we enter the carriage, I return my gaze to the palace that is visible through the window glass. "How quiet it is." When I'm not around, that is.
"Your Majesty might not notice, but you're the reason of the palace's joy."
"You're spouting nonsense. The only sunflower you could ever meet in the palace is my sister." I lean on my seat as I closed my eyes.
"You picked the right dress. You're not stupid after all." Being straightforward is one of my traits. If you're against it, both doors are open for you to leave.
"I appreciate Her Majesty's compliment."
"You must."
As the carriage stops, A gate with thorns of roses, was right in front of me. "I thought you'll never come, Your Majesty." He kissed my forehand as he looks at me.
"A party isn't a party without a goddess blooming." He chuckles as he leads us inside. "Your Majesty didn't tell me that you have a partner." I didn't speak as I let him speak.
The mansion was filled with nobles, talking to each other. "Your Majesty, I would like to introduce you my sisters, Cynthia and Camilla."
"I heard Your Majesty was fond of coffee, would you like to try some of my beans?" A lady with a short ash-like hair, came to me as she gracefully bows.
"Where did you hear of it?"
"From my brother." I look at him as he slightly scratches the back of his neck. "We're the ones who's distributing coffee in the palace as well as transporting coffee at the market."
"The King always praises our service as he said that you liked them and you're not interested if it's not yours..."
"Rosenblitz. Is that right?" Now that I remember, I should stop drinking coffee too much. It's not helping my sleeping schedule.
"I am up for some good coffee. You should brew it well, Miss Rosenblitz." As I wanted to at least forget the face of that old faggot and his stupid son.
"I'll be happy, if you'll call me Camilla, Your Majesty." The way she speaks so casually—
"Then, I only want the best, Miss Camilla." She leads me to a room as her other sister excused herself to entertain some guests.
Their brother is more suitable as Lithia's fiancé.
"Your Majesty," I look at her as she smiles. "I'll be happy if you'll call me by my name."
"Do you deserve it?" She shuts her mouth as she backs out.
"The answer should be: YES, BECAUSE MY NAME IS WORTH A DIAMOND."
"Yes.. because my name is w-worth a d-diamond.."
"That's not confident enough. Do you even deserve to be called by your name?"
"YES. Because my name is worth a diamond, Your Majesty."
"That's the right answer, Serina. your name is worth a diamond."
