Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

I searched my bedroom first with no luck. Then the kitchen, then the living room. Nothing. After turning my house upside down looking for my phone and purse, having realized that it also wasn't in sight anywhere, I heavily sighed and sat down on the couch in my destroyed living room. With my head in my hands I tried to think, where would I have even left my belongings? Especially those that where so important.

A knock on the front door brought me out of my own head. Rising to my feet I aggravately I went to my front door only to find my sister on the other side.

"Morning weirdo!" she shoved a bag in my arms and keys in my hand, "Dad asked me to bring these over to you, you left all of your stuff at the bar last night. Which is weird on many accounts but your phone and wallet and everything is in there." she stopped her tyraid and actually grabbed my hand still clutching my keys, "Hey Hazel, are you ok you look pale, come on and let's go inside."

Shaking my head I finally found my voice. "No, its ok. It's a mess in there right now and I'm ok now that I have my stuff back. I didnt remember leaving my stuff there." I try to half smile at her.

"I know when you are bullshitting me I hope you know." she crossed her arms infront of her chest.

My twin sister Opal is a lot of things but no dummy. I sighed, "Opal honestly I know its weird but really I'm ok. Thank you for bringing me my things."

"Yeah well I am going to need a ride back to town now, I also had to bring your car which how DID you get home last night anyway?"

"You know how I love my cross-country ha ha...." I scrambled to think.

"You did NOT run home through the forest! What would you have done if you got lost? or attacked by a wild animal?" Opal shouted at me as we walked to my parked car in the driveway. "Hazel Marie! I can't believe you!"

"Opal you know good and well that I know those woods better than anyone in town." we backed out of the driveway and started toward town. "I played in those woods all the time."

"Well I still don't like it." she mumbled to herself and stared out the passenger window.

I chuckled slightly feeling better now that my sister was with me, "Yes mom".
