Nobody needs to know about Paul and my past. Matthew shouldn't have known about it neither.
The structure of the building is very similar to my gym, but the space is much smaller and the
tools are less advanced.
For a moment I feel almost privileged to be working in William's gym, albeit
it still remains a place that stinks of sweat from the morning to the evening, even in my office.
"What are we doing here?" - Ashley whispers close to my ear, but instead of answering her
I keep looking around for someone who might look like
boxing or cickboxing instructor, but the room is roughly empty at this hour and there are only a few men
throwing punches on punching bags.
The thing that strikes me is that even in this gym there are a counter and a waiter, even though I thought that the one I work in was the only gym that serves
alcoholic.
I refrain from heading towards the bar and resume walking towards the bottom of the
gym slowly, attracting the attention of a couple of customers, who look at us as if
it was the first time they see women in their lives.
"Charlotte!" - Ashley tries to get my attention when I open my eyes and
move slowly towards the back of the room faster at the moment when my gaze
ends up on the figure of a man in a black undershirt, stretching his muscles and doing little jumps, probably to get noticed by women around him and to prepare throwing punches on a punching bag like the others are doing, but I force him to stop
when I understand that he is a coach, given the writing that has the name of the gym on his shirt, as I position myself between him and the bag behind me.
