Kate was sitting on a bench while she waited for Curt to come out of his room because they were talking about going to the mall today. After all, she was going to buy some things for her first project to do. Their professor sent them home early because he had something important to do. While waiting, she first listened to music on his mobile phone, she plugged her earbuds into her ears and joined the music.
Because she was engrossed in listening to the music, she didn't realize someone was approaching her, she almost fell from her seat, if the person who surprised her didn't hold her. "Deaf horse!.." she said as she almost fell from her seat . The young man immediately grabbed her so that she wouldn't fall completely.
"Why are you surprised CG?"
"It's don't! I just called you and held you, but you're the one who's going to be surprised, how come you're so absorbed in what you're listening to."
"I was listening to music, so I didn't realize you were coming"
"What is that music and you can feel it?"
"Have you ever heard a song called THE PROMISE?"
"Yes, I like that song too, in fact I have that on my mobile,!" he said happily and grabbed the cellphone from his bag.
"Really? Let me hear!" Nessah happily asked to him.
"Here!" and he put his mobile top of the table there and they listening the music together.
While they listened to the song together, they held hands and waved them upwards. They were both laughing when the song ended, "Our voices are so ugly to listen,." Nessah said to Curt and laughing.
"Let it go, we're the only ones who can hear!" Curt laughed as well.
"Of course! Come on, maybe the mall will be closed." Nessah suggested.
"Wait, I want to tell you something before we go to the mall."
"Okay! what is that?"
"Because I came from the basketball court, my coach talked to me, asking if I could play."
"Why? Did you stop playing before?"
"Yes, because my parents got into trouble, I was unable to play before, but that was a long time ago, my parents are okay now."
"So what's the problem?"
"The problem is! I'll be gone from school for two weeks, I can't go with you."
"That's okay! I can go in by myself, and I'll always hang out here when I have free time or maybe in the library, so don't worry about that, just say yes to your coach."
"Are you sure Nessah?" asked the young man
"Of course! I always support you" "I have one more thing to say!"
"And what was that?"
"Don't let boys get close to you! maybe later when I'm not around a lot of boys will get close to you." he said with a smile to make it not too obvious that he meant something else.
"Come on! did you forbid me from that?" She asked with a laugh, she had a feeling that what the young man was saying had meaning, but she knew that he was just worried about her because she might be rude to the boys at their school.
"If I say Yes! I forbid you, will you follow me?"
Nessah could see the seriousness on the young man's face, when something hit her chest and made it beat faster.
"Yes father!" she jokingly replied to the young man, she also didn't want him to notice anything about the strange trepidation she felt in her heart.
"I'm not kidding Nessah! I just don't want you to be rude while I'm not here, because then I'll get into a fight." the young man said her seriously.
"Yes! I know you love me! So I'll always follow your advice, I promise to be kind Curt, I'll wait for you even in a years or you'll disappear by my side, I'll wait for you to come back." she said seriously to the young man as well. Curt took her hand and gently squeezed it, "I will never leave your side, even if I leave but that doesn't mean I will leave you I promise you that Nessah". "Why would you promise me something like that Curt?" The girl asked, not taking her eyes off the young man. "Because I want to! And because I want to, I will do and fulfill whatever I promise you! You will also know why when the time is right."
"In that case, we're not going to go to the mall anymore? Let's just have a drama here?" Nessah joked because she seemed to be drowning in the young man's seriousness. "I said we're leaving!" Curt just scratched the back of his neck because he felt ashamed that he almost confessed his love to the girl. While they were riding the taxi going to the mall, Curt couldn't help but hold the girl's hand, "Curt, I'm not going to disappear, we're still in the taxi." said the girl while looking at their clasped hands. "I know, I'm just trying to make the most of it. If I'm gone for two weeks, I'll miss your hand, so let me hold it all the time." According to him, he couldn't stop himself from feeling the girl.
"You're human, you should be honest with me and so that I don't get confused by what you're showing me, you were promising me a while ago, now I feel like I'm going to lose you," Nessah asked the young man bluntly because she couldn't stand the what it makes she feel.
"I won't leave you, didn't I promise you? Let me hold you, and why?.. we're friends, best friends, why? can't I hold my best friend's hand?" The young man's answer sounded sullen. "Okay! Just like you said, what else can I complain about? You're the only one of my friends here who patiently accompanies me" "That's right, let's go and we're here," said the young man and led him down the taxi they were riding in.
After Curt and Nessah went to the mall, he took the girl to her house, and he went back to their house and dressed in basketball clothes, because they were friends talking now that they would compete against a team that was coming to their area. He didn't mention that thing to the girl because he knew she would just hate to watch, he didn't want her to be distracted from the projects she was going to do for her studies, and besides, he wasn't going to play an important game, but just a conversation between friends that's it.
