Chapter 7
A man dressed in robes with a scepter in his left hand. No whip, it was a nobleman. This was the only logical solution for Aura.
Aura after that started to slow down at the sight of him, she didn't want to leave a bad taste in his mouth right after their first meeting. Aura was getting stressed, after all, this was someone she feared the most, someone who could probably kill all her dreams.
Natasha noticed Aura, she extended her hand towards her as a sign to show the Nobleman Aura, he didn't look disappointed, he stared at Aura as if he wanted to steal her every secret. Aura felt strange then, but what could she do? He is a noble and she is not even a knight.
Aura didn't know how to act around him, she felt insecure around him. As quickly as she came, Aura asked Natasha:
"Ma'am, who is this?" She asked, mid-sentence she began to speak in a serious, and more boy-like than girl-like voice.
Natasha looked at Aure, and said:
"This is Baron Leon von Villanueva. This is the man who rules our land. As well as my friend."
Aura gasped then, Natasha had a nobleman as her friend? That was unexpected, especially when you add in Natasha's nature, who rarely trusted anyone, even her, aura didn't trust her well enough to call her a 'friend'
But why is he here? Well, you should at least introduce yourself to someone so important.
"Hello, Baron Leon Von Villanueva. My name is Aura Vuttersbang and I am Natasha's apprentice." After that Aura bowed, but not as a proper woman should, but more like a gentleman.
Leon was taken aback by this, he had never seen a young lady greeted like this. Having no idea why Aura greeted him this way, he asked Natasha:
"Natasha, why is he greeting like a gentleman and not as a young lady? I have never heard of a lady greeting like that. Or is it a tradition here? Though I would probably know about it then."
Natasha didn't need to elaborate on why Aura was greeting like that, she knew that Aura was scrolling with a boyish nature and didn't like girly things. Especially clothes and hair, it bothered her and was not cool to her, she preferred aristocratic clothes instead.
"You see leon, Aura is what others call a tomboy. If you don't know what I mean, in short, she acts like a boy, not a girl. As far as I know she's always been that way, and she's never liked girly things."
"Aha....." The Baron replied. he didn't know how to respond to this, he had never seen anything like this, a woman in this kingdom could never be in the army, it was unacceptable from a traditional perspective. Women in this world, always tried to look pretty so as to please the boys, the better they looked, the better status they had between themselves, and between the boys. There are a lot of stories that a beautiful peasant girl married some aristocrat.
Aura didn't even have plans to marry a man, she was a lesbian so not what would fall more is being more boyish, or so she thought.
"Alright, Aura, now I will explain to you why the Baron is here to see you, and your talent. As you may know this Baron is obsessed with magic. And you have a special talent for it. He would like to help you with magic, he has more books than me, up to level 5, where I have up to level 3. By the way, he has contacts in some Academies, he is known in them as the one who gave a lot of talents to the Academy.
Aura then thought, how much could she use him?
'If I use him for the core, he will duck. I need to get as much as possible from him.'' She thought
"'Okay, but for level 5, I still need to familiarize myself with level 3, I ended up with magic items last time, so I won't get there very soon. Level 3 is probably still much more difficult than level 2, but I'll try my best to do it."
Aura was right, at level 3, Elemental Magic would start, which meant that you had to manifest your element. It was not easy, it took an ordinary magician almost a whole year, and he was already at level 4. But he could not use it anyway, he needed his element.
There were 5 main elements and 4 divine classes.
The 5 main ones were: Earth, Water, Wind, Fire and White. If you were lucky, you could get Water and Wind, which meant that you could combine them into ice. Since water alone could not make ice, the element of wind had to be added.
Almost every mage had the white element, so it was considered standard; rare were the mages who only had it. The white element mainly played the role of healing, if someone had also the element of darkness or blood, they became immune to the element of holiness.
The 4 other divine grade elements were; Sacred element, Darkness element, Blood element and Animal element.
The element of holiness, as the name says, gives someone the ability of holy magic, it is mainly used against vampires and other undead and for healing, but this element healed better, it could restore human limbs, the only disadvantage of this treatment was that the hand grew back in a new state, the muscles were not built up but weak, and the person had to train the hand from scratch. There were only two disadvantages of this magic, one: Against humans it was weak, and the element of darkness was effective on it.
The element of darkness was the manifestation of shadow/darkness into magic by means of mana. This element was the most powerful of all, it used the least amount of mana, and had the greatest destructive potential. The best Magician that ever existed, Oscar Cromwell, possessed this element. He had the rank of Sorcerer and was the only one who possessed magic of level 10. Even if there were 15 levels of magic, level 10 was the highest that a human could do, after that it was only theoretical knowledge.
The Blood element was based on the manifestation of blood into magic, it did not consume magic, but blood, so that people who had it usually either stopped being mages or abandoned their humanity in favour of becoming vampires, who sucked blood as long as they had it.
The animal element, literally it was a tamer of beasts. You either summoned beasts with summoning magic or you simply tamed an animal and signed a contract with that animal.
Before a long time Battle Aura was also according to everyone an element that enhanced physical strength, but later it was considered a completely different thing.
"True, from level 3 the fun starts, I remember, I was the only one to finish it in 9 months, where others took a year or more to do it." Natasha said, sighing
Aura looked at Natasha with concern. 'What, a year? What the fuck? You're joking right? Aura thought, she didn't want to believe that it takes about a year or 9 months, up until now she thought magic was very simple, a bit like coding, but now what Natasha said didn't sound like level 3 was easy.
Aura couldn't do anything, she knew there would be a problem at some level, but she didn't know it would be so soon, because it was level 3. Well, now she didn't need to worry about it, she still hadn't finished level 2.
If you would be so kind as to show Mr. Leon what first magic you have mastered. It would be nice if you showed it to him.
Then, in the left hand of the Aura, Blue Fire appeared, and in the right hand, Water appeared, without inaction, without anything. Just from nothing both things appeared in the aura's hand. For Aura, it wasn't some big challenge, after all, she practiced such a thing every day when she was little.
'What is it? Without an inaction, a movement of her arms, she gave the spell [Torch] and [Waterball]? And her flame is blue on top of that?'
Natasha was surprised too, she had never seen a blue flame in her life, could it be that the young one had somehow changed the spell? But it wasn't that easy, so how? Natasha didn't know the answer, and as a mage she wanted that answer.
Aura had forgotten that people here didn't know about the gas, but it was already too late, what human eyes saw, they would never forget, as long as they wanted to, it was impossible not to see back.
"Aura, what was that?" Leon asked. He watched and was curious how Aura did it, after all he had never seen someone create blue fire.
Aura didn't know how to answer, after all, what answer to give when they still don't know the gas that just created the blue fire? She had to lie somehow. She quickly made up a story:
"I discovered that if you give a special amount of oxygen in the air that would come from underground, the fire will turn blue." Aura replied to his question.
"From the earth?" Leon asked curiously.
"Yes, I called this oxygen a gas. But if you use too much of it, you can also get explosions."
Then Natasha.....
