Ravenna had been the one doing the explaining to Kyle who had been nodding at first, while she said that they were werewolves and talked about the whole blue moon curse thing and everything that happened after.
All the male did was nod.
When she was done, he only said "So Axel's yours?"
She seemed to blush at first but replied anyway "Yes, he is"
He sighed and played with his hair "Lucky"
And after that, he never said or asked anything about it again.
Axel was also told how Raven got to the concert, Kyle getting the dress and everything and he was tremendously grateful but the gay handsome male just shrugged and said "I'm just wondering who's gonna make my coffee now. Do I get a mate or I have to be stuck with a human that doesn't have a big dick like Axel?"
And after that, he watched his best friend first give him space for a while, making sure that Axel was never with him as he spent more time with Elle, making even Rin jealous and avoided Kyle.
For what it was worth, Kyle had the love of everyone in the Pack, even though they all knew he was human, even though Ravenna was breaking every possible law making him stay because he was considered a liability as he didn't hunt and also, didn't help reproduce.
But he was also under the care of Ravenna AND Axel, so no one said anything to their faces.
His arrival by the way had caused a celebration, mainly arranged by Jethro Alistair who was more happy than anyone it seemed to see Axel back.
And after the celebration, Axel decided to help Ravenna with some of the work she had, or all of it in fact as he made her do nothing while he was around and constantly, she would hold his hand and say him being Alpha seemed to fit him perfectly though he never told her that he was.
She was even more quiet and clingy around him.
Annabelle said that it was the pregnancy making her that way as the baby wanted being around him too.
Axel never complained about it.
When it came to choosing a Beta, he picked the girl that had come to tell him about what Jordan was planning.
Raven had been wary about it at first, being very much aware that the girl had tried killing him and wasn't sure how Rin would feel with her having another person next to her but Axel believed she was trustworthy enough and Rin didn't mind, he even liked the idea she had a Beta now so she could spend more time with them.
And so it was.
Humans usually had their pregnancy go on for nine months.
Werewolves, four and a half.
So when four months did elapse, Raven was heavily eight months pregnant.
And all she seemed to crave for, was Ice cream.
As Kyle walked into the cabin that they were in, Noona's cabin to exact, as the old woman had suddenly gone AWOL, he sat on the chair infront of them and hissed "Do you guys not get bothered about the gnats here?"
Axel chuckled, reaching out for the bag he had come in with and bringing out the tub of ice cream handing it over to a Raven that was sitting on his laps "You could leave you know"
"You're never getting rid of me till I see your niece thank you" Kyle replied with a snap "Though right now I believe I need a massage"
"Kyle...."
"I need a phone too, and TV, and that show I was following and also some cake...."
"Kyle" Axel said finally "You really don't have to be here"
Kyle who was now crying snapped again "Shut up! I'd prove to you that the wilderness is my calling!"
The hell?
Raven murmured something, opening the tub and scooping some more ice cream into her mouth as she said "Kyle, you're making my baby sad with your shouting"
"Huh?" Kyle asked, now sniffing "Am... Am I?"
Raven nodded.
Kyle sniffed again, rubbing his eyes and moving to her, kneeling at her stomach and saying "I'm.... I'm sorry darling. Your dad is just such an asshole"
Raven slapped his head "No cursing around the big belly dummy!"
Kyle winced but didn't say anything as he continues rubbing his hand on the baby "Sorry. I love you, you know. A lot, but.... But I guess I have to go shower now, I stink"
Axel rolled his eyes "No you don't"
Kyle snapped at him again "Shut up you hot piece of lasagna!"
Raven slapped him again "Don't shout at my other baby"
Axel watched Kyle pout at her as she patted his head before he kissed her belly and left to shower.
He watched Ravenna eat the ice cream in silence then when she was done, helped wipe the remnants of her lips "You treat him like a baby"
"My hormones are a haywire, and he looks like one too" Raven said "Have you not seen how cute Kyle is?"
Axel nodded "True. Are you comfortable sitting like this?"
She came off his body, now lying down with her legs on his laps as he played with them "Sometimes, I feel really weird around Kyle"
"How weird?"
She shrugged "Protective maybe. Like I can't.... Bear the thought of him hurting, or leaving me per say. I mean, it's low... But it's there"
"Is that why you made him stay?" Axel said.
Raven nodded, licking her lips "It feels so.... Mate like"
Axel looked up at her "Mate like?"
She nodded again "Sort of... And when he's next to me... My stomach that is, I'm getting all giddy and...."
His hands rested on her stomach "We're having a girl and Kyle is very much gay"
She nodded "I'm aware, I know, it's just...."
Then Axel paused, as he heard it.
There was a heartbeat
And something breathing, that didn't have a heartbeat.
"Is the baby okay?" She asked, putting her hand on is.
Axel wasn't sure how he was going to explain the fact that she was having two babies and one did not have a heartbeat but he said nevertheless "Yes Princess. Everything is fine"
And he really hoped it remained fine.
