Having Axel back was like having a god right with her.
Excluding the obvious fact that he was way better at everything, her wolf was happy at him being here.
And so was her baby at Kyle.
It made no sense at first, still didn't, but she knew what she felt and it was exactly the same way when Axel kissed her and her wolf smiled that she felt giddy when Kyle kissed her belly.
And Kyle seemed to obsess over her and her baby even.
It was obvious, to anyone and everyone that Kyle did not like the idea of being told what to do or how to do anything.
But he always obeyed Raven, maybe a couple of whines and complaints but he always ended doing whatever she wanted.
And she was also very aware of the fact that Kyle was with them, because he suddenly got busy, trying to keep up and help with the works that she couldn't complete herself, making him get too busy for even her.
Though she was allowed to be with him while he worked, he always said it was good for her to walk around or do some exercise which everyone agreed on.
She had asked them if they thought she was getting fat and when they all began to give high-pitched answers, she had flung everything within her reach at them and gone for a walk.
And it was during one of those times that she had seen him.
He had been sitting on a rock, where she usually sat, playing with a marble and throwing it into a lake nearby.
She had been.... Perplexed, lost,....
Scared.
"Sirius?" She asked.
He turned, a small smile coming on his lips "Raven"
That voice....
It felt like her heart had jumped into her throat as she tried speaking, choking all her words as Sirius walked up to her and said "Well, you're crying. You are not happy to see me?"
"I should kill you, damn bastard" She finally said in between her sobs as she tried wiping tears from her face "And I'm not crying. It's this damn pregnancy hormones, not me crying"
Sirius raised an eyebrow, looking down at her huge stomach in a way that made her feel like covering it "Yes, I heard"
She sniffed and then shoved at him "Where the fuck have you been? I was worried as hell!"
Shove.
"No one could find you you stupid piece of shit!"
Shove.
"And why did you leave like that?! You're supposed to be my best friend!"
Shove .
"Sticking with me but you left me fucking alone and I'd never ever forgive you for that!"
His hands grabbed hers and pulled her closer into him.
She cried more, hands squeezing his shirt as he held her closer saying "I missed you too Raven. More than words can say"
When she was quiet again, he asked how everyone was, and gave his condolences about Briar and the fact that Jordan was missing.
"Are you coming back?" She had asked "Cause... Cause I think you should. We... We're your home"
He smiled "You have a Mate now, no? It'd be... Hard for me to accept that" Then he laughed "I still cannot accept it"
"Siri.."
"And I...." He said, holding her hand "I made a deal with some Alpha, so I can't..... Just leave"
"What deal?" She asked.
He held her face, pulling it close to him and put his nose on hers, closing his eyes as he chuckled "I want to kiss you, but I can't"
Before Raven could stop herself, she said "Why not?"
He opened his eyes and she saw the gold orbs glow so bright her heart broke "Cause you're not mine yet"
Yet?
He laughed, moving away and scratching his head, standing up "I have to leave now. He looks for me"
She stood too "Would I... Would you come back?"
"For you" He says "Everyday, here. Yes, but no one must know we see ourselves. I don't want anyone talking and telling my Alpha. He might get.... Jealous"
"You are loyal to him"
"You" He says.
And then she heard him mind link.
It's always been you.
She gulped in as he waved "See you tomorrow"
That had been after Axel had come back months ago and she still met Sirius whenever she went for a walk, never finding it in herself to tell Axel.
Not that she didn't trust him, but for some reason, she knew he didn't like Sirius, even though he had repeatedly said he didn't know the man and Sirius did not like them talking about him.
Until today.
"Are you happy with him?" He asked.
They were still sitted at the rock as he threw more stones into the lake causing it to ripple as she said "I... I am"
"You hesitated" He replied.
"It's just been crazy" She said "Being pregnant makes me want him madly, I guess that's our pup's way of wanting her Father, I do not know, but that's what Mother says"
"So you aren't happy?" He asked.
Raven chuckled, shaking her head "What am I saying? I am. I am very happy right now"
"What if you could be happier?"
She looked at him, confused "How is that even possible?"
Sirius said nothing at first, using a stick to draw figures on the ground for a while then said "Did you know? I am a hundred and fifty four"
"No you're...."
"And Axel is a hundred and fifty three" He continued.
Her eyes widened as she suddenly began to feel uncomfortable "I.. I thought you didn't know Axel"
"We are cousins actually" Sirius said with a sigh "I believe he didn't tell you any of this. He hasn't been truly honest with you, has he?"
Raven stood up "I don't want to know whatever you're talking about. I don't care anymore"
He stood too "So you'd not care about what I do now, would you Ravenna?"
"Sirius, I'd like it if you leave now and...."
She saw it before she could stop saw it.
Someone coming behind her and injecting something into her body and as she fell, she heard Sirius say "I'd make you happier. I promise"
And she blacked out.
