Hearing light noises of footsteps coming from afar, Ren Haitao opened his eyes with mild alarm. There was Xie Feng who was sleeping soundly in his embrace. It was frustrating. Ren Haitao was yet to forgive him for daring to disobey him back in the demon realm.... but the problem was he himself couldn't even take a proper nap without Xie Feng in his arms.
So, Ren Haitao sneakily made him lie in his arms, taking advantage of the right moment. It seemed like now was the time to break this precious moment though. With light and swift moves, Ren Haitao leaned the sleeping beauty against the trunk...just like how he was initially.
Rising to his feet, the man cleaned the dust off his robe before turning to glance down at Xie Feng. He seemed to be worn out for real. Still not waking up even after he was taken into his lord's embrace .....or even after Ren Haitao had placed him back into his original position... this didn't seem like the usual vigilant Xie Feng at all.
Ren Haitao also didn't want to wake him up. Even so, noises of footsteps were getting nearer and nearer with occasional sounds of two males quarrelling. Ren Haitao was not even sure if those voices were from someone they'd been waiting for or just other random villagers coming and going in the forest whilst hunting preys.
But whoever they were, Ren Haitao had to make sure both of their demonic aura had been concealed at first. With a light tap on Xie Feng's forehead, the man woke him up, putting on that indifferent facade back.
"Xie Feng.... Xie Feng.... get up....Someone's coming..... Xie Feng...."
With a frown, the sleepy youth rubbed his eyes opened, glancing up at the seemingly cold Ren Haitao before standing up in a fluster. Xie Feng noticed this man had already concealed his demonic aura, so he quickly hid his own as well. He was about to ask the man if the person they'd been awaiting was finally coming when a black cloak was tossed in his way.
To tell the truth, this cloak was no ordinary thing. As long as one wore it, no one would be able to see them anymore. It would be as if they vanished into thin air. It was the power of this cloak making their physical body invisible.
It seemed like even Ren Haitao didn't even know who they were. That's must be why he took this catious step. With that thought, Xie Feng covered himself in it right away. Glancing right and left, Xie Feng tried to sense the location of Ren Haitao. But the other party was nowhere to be seen. The main drawback of these kinds of cloaks were exactly that. Not only other people but even themselves who were both invisible under the power of this cloak couldn't see each other.
"Li Zian, you.... are you crazy? What are you doing?! Stop it..... ahhh.... no... stop pulling it already.... are you planning to tear my sect robe?..... "
Hearing a male's voice from a not-so- far distance, Xie Feng stopped moving to sense and find the presence of Ren Haitao. In fact, the man he'd been looking for was just at a step away from him. Ren Haitao knew Xie Feng might be trying to look for him. But he chose to stay silent like the dead, still in a gloomy mood because a certain someone was yet to apologize.
" What? What's wrong with me destroying or ruining yours? Didn't you just singe mine?"
Another voice of a male came again. Though the owners of this conversation was yet to come into their vision, the sound was getting closer and closer. Soon, they would be reaching the place in next to no time.
"Stop it... I already told you it's an accident! "
Ren Haitao frowned. This voice was terribly familiar and he knew who it was. But as to the owner of the other voice.... it absolutely was a stranger to him.
"Yeah...yeah...it's an accident. But, no matter what, today I have to see your wounds or tear your garments apart as a compensation. "
With those words coming out, the sight of a young man finally came into Ren Haitao's vision. Still, he couldn't see the other's face. The man was wondering what this youth was up to, walking backwards into their direction when he also heard Wang Li Jie's voice coming from that very youth.
"Just shit....as if I would let it happen....you bastard.... die... die... die.. "
Only by now, Ren Haitao knew where another voice was coming. It was just behind this young male. Ren Haitao couldn't see another youth just because a certain giraffe was standing in his line of sight. The two seemed to be fighting with one pulling the other's collar so harsh..whilst the other was hitting another in his head with the hilt of a sword. At this rate, that kid was going to break the head of another youth for real.
"Wang Li Jie! "
The youth's hand which was holding lightening fury paused in mid-air just before it was about to land another strike on Zhang Long Wei's super solid head. Standing on his tiptoes, the youth glanced over from his little master's shoulder only to widen his eyes at the sight of Ren Haitao.
The man had taken his invisible robe off already. A familiar face that had some resemblance to his mother came into his view. And at this sight, Wang Li Jie felt like he was struck by lightening. Quickly avoiding the other's scolding eyes, the youth bent down right away as he used Zhang Long Wei as a human shield to get away from the man's sight. How.....how come that person was here at this time? How come both of his mom and dad didn't utter anything about it?
It... it was his uncle Ren, the only younger brother of his mom, Ren Meilin... that boozer uncle who only knew to come and visit him only once in a year ....only on his birthday.... but what's with this sudden change? This year, why would that scary uncle have to come three months ahead his birthday anyway?....
