This question would have fazed anyone and would have made them panic because it would put them on a spot without any prior preparation especially when they were under scrutiny that she made sure to keep him under.
However, it did not faze Christian at all.
"I am always going to keep up today. I do not understand why you think otherwise."
"What?" Disbelief filled her voice. "I am entitled to think otherwise when we have not talked for over a year. People use contact when they don't talk at all."
