Christian chuckled which seemed like a huff of air followed by a small smile from him. "She asked me who I was and when I told her how much she asked me a few questions. She quiz me to make sure that I was who I am and then told me about the time I got back."
"That's all?"
"Yes." Christain jerked his head into the direction of the food, silently telling her to eat.
Grace picked up the folk but did not use it. "That's all she said?"
Her grandmother had been there when she had gone through an era slightly similar to that of heartbreak. Christian had just left her entirely alone, without a bird and without any goodbye. Her grandmother has been angry too. Christian had shared a relationship with her but somehow, instead of saying anything to him, she had just forgiven him.
