Elijah knew that the world he was in was as real as the spine on his back.
But that didn't in any way please him, if this part of the world or this freaking part of existence existed then why now had it suddenly shown itself? Why does a world that where magic dominates all exist!
Where worlds were suddenly branches connected with each other! Where devils eat, live, breathe and feel pain like humans!
And for fucks sake a world where gods roam around with no restrictions, suddenly showed up in his face like it was no big deal as though it had been obvious that it existed for countless ions.
Fuck, it!
Realisation suddenly struck as the situation he found himself in was somewhat - humorous. The appearance of the various calamities on earth, and the sudden appearance of Andra was the very reason he is currently still stuck in hell.
He suddenly found himself in a level of danger that couldn't be rated. If anything, he saw himself as a character that was a piece in a grand scheme of things.
And that annoyed him.
As far as I know, I am the ruler and creator of my destiny, able to shape it into whatever I want it to be. But the fact that there was a being out there watching me like a spectator all sounded like a –
Joke.
The current level of chaos and insanity that always threatened to stretch him was hilarious.
Well! To be fair he was quite abnormal for a regular boy.
A 19-year-old boy who was suddenly thrown to the front lines of world war 3, after being captured by an unnamed terrorist group, in a futuristic dystopia world on its last life would certainly have his horrors that he wasn't ready to face.
Right?
Well, the answer to that was, no. Because Elijah wasn't a mentally disarranged little boy who harboured around the borders of insanity. But instead, after all those horrific past situations, he still behaved like every normal human being.
He wasn't a sociopath. And neither did he become a psychopath who thought that modern society was the only chain holding him down.
But the fact that he was still normal was abnormal on its own. Sure, he saw the world and its brutality for what it truly is, but that was it.
Surely, such a past may have given others severe PTSD, horrific nightmares or even sociopathic thoughts. But maybe he was part of the other percentages of humans in the world who saw it for what it truly was, and still acted normally like the days before.
But that was his past, and right now is his present.
Because, like seriously!
Do you think a teenage boy who woke up every morning to drag a beast whose features would give a grown man nightmares for months was bound to still be normal?
Or was the fact that he gained superhuman powers every time his abilities rises were normal?
Certainly, I am very much happy at the fact to know that I possess the chance to learn magicraft and that only sends shivers through my body. But that suddenly doesn't change the fact that I am in a world where the black and white of society is seen on a piece of paper, where each encountered beasts are capable of levelling mountains on a daily occurrence.
Where dying was nothing more than a glorious shame all because you weren't a little stronger.
Well, they were still more as the list still goes on.
But- fuck it!
I am going to live. I am going to survive.
If I'm been played like an instrument to someone's tune, then fuck them too. But if I'm not, then I'll make sure that it never happens, but if it does happen then I will make them regret it and make them realise how grave of a mistake it was to allow my existence on this godforsaken world.
Picking up his dagger that he mistakenly dropped to the ground, Elijah made his way to another side of the forest. By now he knew he was lost, and there had been many strange occurrences that had taken place these past months, as he wandered through the forest and that included discovering a lot of severely injured night gyxes and pieces of evidence of the battle that had taken place.
And the fact the there was only one humanoid-like being who ruled the underworld, Elijah was in a good mood to meet the Devils. Considering they were his only ticket out of here currently, and he also wanted to see the effects of what this world had on its inhabitants.
After all, if he had learnt anything from his short time here. They would be far from the different levels of being sane.
Picking up paced as his shadow seemed to be fazing out of existence, Elijah quickly disappeared as he headed straight to where he deemed the Devils were headed.
But even so, there was still one question that bothered him, what if he didn't stay normal, and the boy standing there was a mental dysfunctional hypocrite whose only whims are the right judgement.
Then what would happen when you push an already insane mind to another brink of insanity? What would really happen if that were the case?
This question was just a passing thought, but with such a situation Elijah was facing right now.
Sigh!
He couldn't give an answer because such a question could only be answered with experience. Elijah couldn't give an answer because he wasn't one who had experienced such.
But if such a person existed, then Elijah wished to never come in contact with such an individual.
......…
"What the hell happened here?" Elijah looked baffled as the stench of the dead demonic beast corpses were strong enough for him to pinch his nose together.
The stench of the already comatose crimson apes that laid on the ground, had already permeated the air thicker than a skunk gas, as it made it hard to breathe, let alone smell.
