Chapter 10 - Corrupt School.

Mary tried to calm herself down and analyze the situation carefully.

The teacher was the classmate who didn't listen carefully. This answer seemed a bit wrong because the phone didn't indicate that the task had been completed.

At this moment, the sky suddenly turned dark. Mary was shocked! The change happened too quickly, causing her to be unable to react for a moment.

"Ah!" she screamed and squatted on the ground.

After a long time, it was only dark. Nothing else happened.

Mary looked up and turned on the flashlight on her phone.

On the other side, Maron was sitting on the steps at the school gate.

He also saw the change on the other side of the school building. It was covered in darkness.

It was like a black ink had surrounded the entire school building.

He didn't want to care about it, nor could he care anyway.

If Mary could really get a Deadly Spectre Puzzle or a Cursed Tool, that would be great.

Of course, it had nothing to do with him dying in there.

After all, this wasn't the world of the past. In the past, he might have rushed in to save people. But now it was different. If he rushed in, he might lead himself into a difficult situation, or he might lose his life.

Also, in his current era, it could be said that he could give up such unnecessary feelings. It was the only way to survive.

Maron picked up his phone and looked at the time. An hour had passed. There was still an hour left. If she didn't come out, he would have to leave. It didn't matter if she was still alive or dead.

"What is this?!"

Maron inadvertently caught a glimpse of the shadow on the railing on the steps.

The railing was polished like a mirror.

"Is this the Ghost in the Mirror?!"

Maron narrowed his eyes and looked at the railing. The face of the shadow in the mirror was blurry, as if it had been pixelated.

"Could it be that the Ghost in the Mirror followed me to this place?" Maron had some guesses.

This kind of ghost was usually not of a high level and could only appear in places with mirrors.

It was very likely that it was because he had played rock-paper-scissors with the Ghost in the Mirror yesterday. As long as he lost, the Ghost in the Mirror would always follow that person.

Maron gradually had a clue about the Ghost in the Mirror and he also thought about the rules.

There was always the need to understand the rules of ghosts.

He carefully thought about the events that had happened before. Those ghosts seemed to have a rule.

Although deadly ghosts were terrifying, as long as one grasped their rules, they would be able to deal with ghosts easily.

Thinking of this, Maron's guess became clearer and clearer.

All deadly ghosts had their own rules.

"When encountering a truly powerful deadly ghost, one's own ability is only a support. The most important thing is still to see through the rules of ghosts," Maron said to himself as he looked at the Ghost in the Mirror in the reflection of the railing.

Maron suddenly saw the change in the Ghost in the Mirror. It seemed to be a little afraid.

Was it afraid of its own organs?

Maron shook his head. The level of the Ghost in the Mirror was very low now. It had some limitations. Without a mirror, it did not exist.

However, this ability seemed to be very good.

A place with a mirror could be of great use.

Maron walked to a place where the railing could not refract, and the Ghost in the Mirror disappeared as expected.

He walked forward again, to a mirror at the school gate.

The Ghost in the Mirror appeared again.

'I'm not in a hurry to deal with this Ghost in the Mirror. The main mission is still the Little Boy's Mother, and the gaze of the disaster-level malicious ghost at the top of the building.' Maron thought about it and sat down.

Then he turned on his phone and looked at the time.

There was still half an hour until the end of the two hours.

Currently, the inside of the teaching building was covered in darkness and completely cut off from the outside world.

Mary was very anxious now because she still couldn't find the student who wasn't paying attention to the class.

All her previous guesses had been overturned.

The teacher wasn't the answer, the students weren't either.

This wasn't going to be easy.

The temperature was getting lower and lower. Mary was wearing thin clothes, and her physical strength was gradually running out.

"Who is the student who isn't paying attention to the class?" Mary used her phone to shine at the students below.

At this moment, a pungent smell came.

"What is this?" Mary saw a horrifying scene. The corpses of the students began to decompose at an extremely fast speed and even the paper on the table started to rot.

Everything in the classroom started to rot at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The corpses fell to the ground one after another.

Some of the corpses had their heads separated from their bodies and rolled to the side.

The classroom had changed. In Mary's eyes, the entire classroom was like hell now.

"I..." Mary didn't know what to do at this moment.

There was only one thought in her mind. The difficulty of the mission had increased.

Before this, these corpses had remained the same as before they died. But now, it was different. The corpses were no longer complete and the difficulty had increased.

Mary covered her mouth and nose, blocking out some of the smell.

But there was still a large amount of corpse stench entering her nasal cavity.

"Urgh!" Mary finally could not stand it anymore and vomited.

After a while, she recovered a little, but her stomach was still uncomfortable.

"No, there are still twenty minutes left."

Mary stood up with difficulty and shone the flashlight under the podium and saw the teacher's corpse.

The teacher's corpse did not seem to be affected and still stood there.

To Mary's horror, the teacher's smile was even stronger than before.

"Is the teacher conscious or unconscious?" Mary voiced her suspicions. These were very difficult for her.

Reasoning was difficult, not to mention reasoning in a place full of corpses.

Gradually, Mary began to feel sleepy.

Outside the school gate, Maron looked at the passing of time.

Then he looked in the direction of the school building.

The area covered by darkness was getting larger and larger.

It wouldn't be long before it reached the school gate.

"Did she die inside?" Maron was actually a little worried.

He was not only looking at the teaching building, but also paying attention to the situation outside.

Other than the bus in the morning, he had never seen a car.

It seemed that there was no one in the city.

This made him feel lonely.

Just as Maron was thinking, the direction of the teaching building changed again.

The walls of the dormitory building next to the teaching building became mottled.

It was as if decades had passed. The walls were covered in moss and there were signs of cracking.

[One minute later, you realized that something was wrong. You walked in and went to the fourth floor of the teaching building.]

The notification in Maron's eyes suddenly lit up.

"I'd better go there." Maron had this thought before the notification in his eyes.

Maron got up and walked towards the direction of the teaching building.

After a few minutes, Maron entered the darkness.

After entering, the smell of corpses hit him, and the temperature inside was very low.

"What happened?" Maron looked at the mottled walls with his phone's flashlight.
