Their lips were an inch close when he stopped and moved back.
"Can you smell that?" he asked.
"Huh?"She uttered confusedly. Obvious enough , she didn't understand him.
"I mean , that disgusting smell ." He clarified. "I think it's coming from your hair.
He pulled something out from her hair.
"Oh…that" Her face lit up with enlightenment when she finally understood what he meant.
" What is this ?" He said while sniffing the greasy thing he took from her hair.
Soon enough he realized it was a bad idea when his nostrils almost jumped out of his nose.
She giggled when she saw his reaction. "Oh , that poopie….I must have missed it when I washed my hair."she said with an honest face.
"Poopie?" He thought he heard hi wrong. Although the word was basically not in his vocabulary.
"Tae ng baka"It was a cow's manure .She said straight to his face.
He almost puked.
Sofie's Cognition
"What the hell . Stay there." He exclaimed.
She watched him as he rushed to the kitchen to wash his hands free from the disgusting thing.
She brushed her hair with her fingers and tried to smell its strands .
She felt her nostrils burn.
"I guess I really should wash this out." She said in thin air and walked to her room.
Cruszier's Cognition
When he came back , the strange woman was no longer there. He walked to her door but it wouldn't open no matter how hard he knocked. It was definitely locked from the inside.
"I'll deal with you tomorrow." He said and went up the stairs.
He went to his room and dialed Junzhu's number.
Luckly , He answered . It almost seemed as though he was expecting his call but it's hard to assume such thing, It's Junzhu after all. It was not in that person's nature to answer any call that time of the day. It was past midnight.
"What is it?" The person from the other line asked.
His friend's voice sounded as if he was grasping for air but he didn't mind him and went straight to his purpose. "There's a woman downstairs . She has a key . What is this ?" He said in annoyance.
"So you met Sofia . She's my cousin. She stays I the house .Sorry if I forgot to mention it ."He admitted.
"The hell , Jhunz!" He couldn't help but curse at his friend's confession.
"C'mon Cruisze. When did you start complaining with having a woman around?Did the virus get to your head?" He asked sarcastically.
"Perhaps I would have a woman without a poopie on her hair."he said irritatingly.
"A what?" his clueless friend answered.
It was late when he realized what he just said. He himself couldn't understand why he'd use the word poopie to pertain to the cow's manure.
Before he could compose himself , Junzhu interject , "Just don't lay a finger on that woman. All you have to do is to share the house with her . Try to get along with her, Don't ask me how ,figure it out yourself. "
He was about to argue with him when he heard a woman's voice .
He thought he'd recognize that voice anywhere but he tried to convince himself that it was just his imagination.
"Try never to call me unless it's a life or death situation." The man on the other line said and dropped the call.
He threw his phone on the bed along with himself.
Junzhu's Cognition
He just ended the call with Cruszier when a woman wrapped her arms around him. He could feel her bare skin on his back.
He felt her warm breath as she whispered on his ears , "Good going tiger." He heard her giggle.
"A poopie?" he asked her amusedly.
" That's Sofie for you ." She answered him.
He turned around gently to face her . " Now where were we Nathalie?"
He laid her back to bed to continue what Cruiszier's call interrupted.
Cruszier's Cognition
He woke up to the sound of music coming from the living room . It was Ed Sheeran's Thinking out loud.
He had the strangest dream last night.
He checked the time , to his surprise it was already past 10 in the morning.
He jumped out of bed and sang along to the music, "We found love right where we are…."
Suddenly , he realized something. "Wait a minuite."
***Where in the world did that sound came from?, Did I played that music while I was asleep?***
He wanted to confirm his assumptions so he ran out his room and almost jumped off the stairs to reach the ground floor.
He was stunned when he realized that it was filled with flowers. The empty space which he first saw yesterday was now covered with flowers . You can almost confuse it for a garden.
If you were looking at it from the outside through the gigantic window , It would pretty much look like a graden. It was beyond beautiful.
He was both amazed and confused .
He walked around carelessly and it was too late when he realized he bumped into something.
He felt something cold on his shirt.
" What the ?..." he almost uttered.
"It's banana apple, orange and pineapple blend." He heard someone spoke from behind.
When he turned around, he saw the woman he was looking for laying on the ground holding an almost empty glass.
He reached for her hand to help her .
" You…" the only word he could utter when she finally stood up.
He finally confirmed that last night was not a dream.
"Yes me." She smiled and pointed her finger to herself. "Are we playing some kind of mind game here or are we going to have a normal conversation." She added.
She lift her huge glass and took a sip of the last drop of juice from her glass.
**** Is she insane?*****
He pulled her by the arm and took her to the huge window.
Sofie's Cognition
"Did you do this ?" The guy who just pulled her arm asked.
" Actually , it's the Gargoyles who brought them in" She pulled her arm .
He eyed her.
****Crazy**** he told himself
"What on earth are Gargoyles and will you please stop fooling around."He told her irritatingly.
" Well they are men with long beards and huge muscles who carry stuff around."She told him and waved at one of the men from outside who helped her bring the flowers and huge pots .
She turned around and went to the kitchen where he followed her.
Cruiszier's Cognition
His feet followed the strange woman and the next thing he knew he was sitting in the dining table . Before him were luscious pancakes.
"This mine." He asked her.
She just gave him a nod.
He poured a red wine to his glass from the table. He ate silently as he watched her blending almost 10 varied fruits. He found himself watching her amusedly.
He directed his attention to his pancakes when he realized she stopped blending.
He almost choked when she placed a huge glass in front of him.
He was about to reach for his red wine when she grabbed it ahead of him.
"Have some of this . It's good for your health." She said to him as she pushed the glass she almost hurled in the table towards him.
"It's too early for this ."She raised the wine glass , moving it further from him.
"You know you could have handed this juice more gently." He said while rubbing a napkin .
He looked closely to examine the drink. It was far from attractive. It looked more like vomit.
" It's good luck." She said and sat at the opposite side of the table facing him.
He couldn't help but to raise a brow, "Where did you heard that?"
She gestured as though she was trying to recall where she heard it .
After she submerged in a deep thought , she finally answered him, "Well, I just thought of it." Then she shrug her shoulders .
She ate her meal with such an appetite , both amusing and strange for someone who's sharing a table with a complete stranger.
Was it just him or Is this woman fond of his presence?
He was sure his friend already told her about him but he thought he'd introduce himself to her formally. Something which he wished he could have done properly the first time they met.
"Sofie" He called her.
He could tell she was surprised to hear him call his name but he continued, " I am Cruiszier Louie Gonzales De Castro and I will be your housemate for the next three weeks. My short vacation will end in November 7but until such time , I will be staying in this house."
She gave him a sweet smile. "So your name is Cruiszier huh?"
He was surprise to know that up to that date she still didn't know him.
***Does she treat all strangers so cashually?*** He asked himself
Maybe Junzhu hadn't told her about him. Was his friend trying to keep his reputation clean for him?Probably, otherwise this woman would have ran away the moment she'd know about his scandal. Well he would not want that .
He just nod in response to her question.
"You can call me Sophie and from now on I'll be calling you Yacht. Welcome home Yacht." She said cheerfully.
***Home*** that word touched his heart.
Who knew that such word could feel so genuine coming from a stranger.
He looked around the table and he saw the pancakes and shake .
*** She prepared all of this for me***
He took the juice and he prepared himself. But to his surprise it didn't smell that bad. Actually it was rather aromatic. When he took a little sip at first and another one then
the next thing he knew the glass was empty.
"Not bad." He didn't even notice he said it out loud.
He heard her gentle laugh .
