Sofie's Cognition
She had just walked out of the shower when she heard her telephone .
"Hello." She said as she picked up the call while her hair and body was still dripping with water .
"Sofia…" A man's gentle voice could be heard from the other line . It was so soft that it was barely audible. But she knew who it was.
That was all she needed to hear.
"Ssshh…. I'll be on my way love." She said softly.

He was walking slowly on a room filled with flowers trying his best not to bump in any of them as he was headed to Sofie's room.
He finally reached her door and was about to knock when he realized that the door was slightly open although from his direction he couldn't really see anything from the inside.
"S"Ssshh…. I'll be on my way love." was what he'd heard.
Was Sofie on the telephone calling someone she'd pertain to as love?
***LOVE**** his mind started pestering him
He didn't even realize he was standing next to her door for more than 10 minutes.
He was pulled back to reality when the door opened and Sofie came out of the room with the same puzzled look.
****She might think I'm eavesdropping or worst , she might think I'm a pervert.**** He told himself.
But reasons seemed to have evacuated out of his brilliant mind. The eloquent Casanova has ran out of words, Just great.
He didn't even know how to tell her he was there to tell her that their lunch was ready.
He was still thinking of how he'd composed himself when she suddenly tip toed to kiss him on the cheeks.
"Bye Yacht, I have to go." She walked straight pass the astonished man.
He could only trace her with his dumbfounded eyes. He saw her stopped by the dining table to get a piece of chicken which she waved to him before she placed to her mouth.
"Salamat." She heard her say thank you with a smile.
She was long gone when he realized that he was still standing like a statue from where she kissed him.
His hands were still feeling his cheeks.
"What happened to me?" He asked himself.
He was more than used to kisses . He has done more than kissing in the past with a lot of women.
But why was he dump folded by a slight kiss on the cheeks now?
He brushed his forehead with both his hands and raised his head.
As he looked up , He noticed something.
He almost thought he saw Cupid's arrow sparkled.
"It's you , Isn't it?" He said as he pointed to the chandelier.
***Just Great , now I'm talking to a chandelier. I guess the virus is messing with my head.***he told himself still torn between laughing or freaking out.

Her motorcycle almost flew to the air when she tried to put it in its maximum speed. Finally she reached a her destination.
She stood next to a gigantic gate where she waved at the monitor. Soon enough its vast wings opened and revealed an astounding landscape and a pathway leading to an old Victorian chateau.
There were fountains and flowers placed in vast green field .
"Adlaw." Using the local dialect of the place she said good morning on top of her lungs as she waved at every person she'd meet along the way. They were all smiles and were all delighted to see her.
She saw the house's gardener , Mr. Smith . He waved at her and took some flowers for her. She smiled and waved back.
Finally she reached the main door of the mansion. She took a deep breath before announcing her presence. The warm atmosphere she felt when she came vanished when the door opened.
She saw Maria , the mayordoma of the house holding a broken Herend vase while rushing down the stairs.
She could see the delight from the old woman's face when she noticed her. The old woman greeted her with a smile although it was not enough to cover her eyes' sadness.
She understands her. She can see how her presence roused a slight hope from her weary eyes.
The old woman before her took care of her since she was young and the mansion was like her second home. Every corner of the house was a part of her childhood.
She was already in her teenage years when her Filipina mother took her back to the Philippines to study in an international school there and she hadn't step in the mansion since then.
Maria put down the vase to greet her while she ran towards the old madam to give her a warm embrace.
"Sofia, Thank God you are here ." The woman said while trying to hold back her tears.
They hadn't gotten into a formal conversation when all of a sudden they heard a loud sound coming from the second floor. The old madam's face was completely filled with great concern.
She looked at a particular direction from upstairs and she knew exactly where the sound coming from.
Maria gave her an understanding look, pats her shoulders and unlocked her from their tight embrace.
"Go child." It was the only thing she said to her.
She ran to the stairs to reach the biggest room of the mansion. There was no need to knock because the door was wide open.
Her heart was broken . She saw the man laying at the floor hopelessly trying to lift himself up with both his hands . But his strength was not enough , his hands were shaking and he ended up falling back to the floor .The maids tried to help him but he pushed them away. The nurses were on the corner and their faces were filled with anxiousness.
"Leave me!" The man shouted with his trembling voice.
She could no longer watch this.
"Warren…."she said softly.
It was as if her voice was all he needed to calm himself up. He stopped protesting.
He waved his right hand instructing all the maids and the nurse to leave the room.
She walked towards him. Her heart couldn't stop breaking seeing how he has suffered. She noticed how much weight he'd lost since the last time she'd seen him.
Although he has lost much weight his handsome face was still evident.
He raised his head while he still sat on the floor.
Their eyes met . And from those blurry eyes , all she saw was a clear vision of herself.
She didn't need to hear him say the words.
She kneeled down and the next moment ,they were locked in each others' warm embrace.
"Sofia, Is it really you?" He moved his head back to see her face clearly.
He brushed her face with his hands , gently touching every part of her face . As if he was trying to convince himself that it was no longer a dream.
"Love." She smiled.
He hugged her tighter.
She heard him whisper in her ears, "I'm Sorry." His voice broke.
She felt his tears on her shoulder.
The drop which managed to find its escape to the floor was the only thing that could be heard in the room.
A slight wind blew the cupid chime which hang from an open part of the window .
From the silence brought about by those little drops came a gentle sound from cupid's dancing chime.
Sofie closed her eyes as she listened to the melody of the chime.
