It was November 2009, Sarah was in the park alone, feeding the duck. She has been doing alot of things lately just to avoid the thought of Daniel leaving.
It has been five days since after the wedding and the thought of Daniel moving out is Sarah's worst nightmares.
After watching the ducks fight over the bread crumbs, Sarah reached out for her phone which was in her bag and dialled Daniel's number.
Daniel picked up on the 3rd ring.
''Sarah? Wass up?''
''Nah, just checking in, umm hey do you wanna like hang out this afternoon?''
''Yeah sure, whattcha you wanna do?''
''I was thinking maybe we could go to that new restaurant that just open and check out the food,'' she exhaled over the phone.
There was a long pause and she heard rustling on the other side of the phone.
''Daniel, are you there?'' bringing the phone closer to her face just to make sure that the line's not disconnected.
''Yeah, sure sounds great to me, what time?'' he finally said.
''Seven?''
''Okay,''
''Okay, Love you, Bye,'' she clicked her phone off and then headed home.
Later that day in the restaurant, they were fully enjoying themselves. They had been trying seafood dishes and couldn't stop stuffing themselves until they are full.
They finally have some milkshakes and went out for a stroll.
''That was some lobsters back there,'' she spoke so softly as they walk side by side.
''Sarah? When I leave, will you miss me?'' he asked her without even making eye contact.
Sarah stopped, pull him towards that they could faced each other and then in her soft, melodious voice say,
''With every single day, I always think about and missed you,''
Then bending down, he kissed her so hard that Sarah had to pull away from him.
And just as they made their way back to the car, Daniel said the one thing that has been in his mind ever since Sarah called him from the park.
''Sarah, I was thinking that maybe we should just end it here,''
''I'm sorry, what did you just say?'' Sarah in disbelief, instantly let go of his hand.
''I think that it's best for the both of us to just be friends,''
''Daniel! Where is this even coming from? Don't you love me anymore?'' Sarah sputtered back and trying her best not to cry even though tears are swelling up in her face.
''No Sarah. I do love you,''
''Then what is it? I mean WHY?''
'' Sarah, you are the most amazing woman that had make my heart jump whenever you called me by name. You make me feel alive and happy.
And I don't think that long distance relationship will work for us,''
''I don't care about what you said but one things for sure and that is I am not giving up on us,'' she said.
They finally say goodnight and promised each other that they will try to spend their last weeks and days together.
The next Sunday morning was raining so Sarah decided to stay in bed a little longer only to be startled by the sudden ringing of her phone.
She quickly check the phone screen to see who was calling and hoping to be Daniel but, was disappointed when she saw Eva's number.
After a quick talk with Eva they both agreed to meet after the church service.
Both Sarah's parents are true believers so they always attend the church service on every Sunday bringing Sarah every time with them.
The priest were preaching about forgiveness in the church.
''The Lord is near, and my fellow brothers and sisters you have to repent and turned your life to him or Are you ready for that day to come?'' the Priest continued.
Sarah liked the listening to the Gospels and on that day she feel like she wasn't ready yet.
