Daniel could hear his mom getting ready for work and making breakfast.

''Daniel honey, please wake your brother up and get ready for school. It's nearly seven,'' Mrs Fernando shouted from the kitchen.

He continued to stay in bed until his mother pop into the room and pulley the curtains apart.

She sat down beside him, hold his hand and said ''Daniel, I know this is hard for you but you have to go out there and enjoy this new life."

''Look mom, you don't have to worry about me,

I'll be fine. Go to work, I'll take of Jason,'' he said.

"Okay honey. Make sure to pack your lunch, Okay!'' she sighed hugging him.

As soon as his nother left, Daniel got up called Sarah wishing her the best for today and then wake his brother and went to school.

Daniel was quickly accepted in the football team because of his skills. He make a few a friends at his new school and they sometimes hang out.

Daniel's stepfather was always busy and he was hardly seen at home but Daniel liked him alot.

It was lunch break and Daniel was hanging out with his friend when his phone rang.

He quickly checked the caller's ID and saw that it was his mother. Excusing himself from the table he answered the phone.

''Mom, what's wrong,'' he quickly asked as soon as he was out of sight from his friend.

''Oh nothing honey I hust wanna tell you that I'm gonna be working late. So make sure you pick your brother up from school,'' she quickly said over the phone.

''Okay mom,'' he said

''Thanks honey. Gotta go. Bye!''

Then the line was disconnected.

After school he told his friends that he can't hang out with them that afternoon because he had plenty of other stuff to do.
