'No!! Am I gonna fall into the sea?!' Armelle questioned herself when she felt her legs lose the grip to stand. She felt her body moving on its own due to the gale wind.
Everyone stood there unmoving as they couldn't understand the situation, everything happened in front of their eyes in a fraction of a second.
It isn't expected, when the giant wave hit them hard causing the ship to shake strongly, they couldn't do anything except cling to their life.
It is hard to maintain their balance, as the ship was shaking due to the giant waves which formed one after the other, and the wind was so strong that it affect their balance, also they could barely see since the sea engulfed all the light just to show its other side.
Zyaire tried to move from the place trying to throw a type IV throwable device but a giant wave formed disturbing his balance to stand.
"Zyaire!! Don't move!!!!! Hold on to the pillar?!!" Drey shouted as he noticed a giant wave from the distance. Usually, in the middle of the sea, there won't be any waves but during the time of cyclones it does happen and also it is so dangerous. Even the veteran swimmer will get lost when such waves happen.
'I am sorry Armelle I'm incapable to help you' Zyaire whispered under his breath with cloudy eyes as he weakly held on to the pillar to maintain his balance.
Armelle couldn't take a grip from falling down the ship. She could no longer see as her vision blurred. All that she knew was that she climbed to the top tier to give them the life jackets.
She felt herself drowning in the water helplessly when she kicked the water to bring her body up to the surface of the water but again a giant wave pushed her somewhere far from the sight of the ship.
When she opened her eyes, she was taken aback as the ship stood there in a long distance. As the strong gale made a shiver run down her spine.
"I'm doomed!!!!" she cursed herself followed by a sigh. But she felt glad that she could spot the ship at half a nautical distance.
She paddled her arms to swim near the boat. But the heavy blowing wind along with rogue waves made her body weak. Every minute moving forward she felt herself moving far.
Dozens of rogue waves passed her making her move far away from the sight of the ship. She lost hope when she could no longer see the ship. Her body weakened due to continuous swimming. Her arms ached. At one point she knew that she can no longer swim, nor can balance her body over the water. After a few minutes of cursing and trembling over the sea, she felt blessed. She found a wood log in midst of the blue.
'THANK YOU, GOD! Finally, something helped me!!' She grabbed the wooden log and whirled her arms around it to hang on the surface of the water, as her body lost the ability to swim lately. Due to the shock, all her energy got drained. She quit struggling to move toward the direction of the ship. As she no longer could see the trace of the ship in the lost blue.
Now and then she felt waves hitting her body making her move far away from the direction of the ship. She only hoped that she will back to the ship if that was within her reach.
The weather became worse and worse as time passed. The sky looked dark as hell in the mid-afternoon, contemporary to its magnificent breathtaking blue. As if the infinite blues now turned into infinite black.
Her head dazed, and she felt nauseous due to the excessive saltwater entering her mouth now and then. The strong sense of smell she had never failed to inhale the briny scent of the sea.
Soon she lost consciousness and collapsed over the log. Her brain was actively listening to every sound around her. But her eyelids were closed tightly. She wished she could turn back time now, but to no use.
'I am sorry guys. It's my fault. Never be guilty. I'll soon find my way to you people' she mumbled to herself in her unconsciousness. It is a possible thought for everyone to feel guilty in a situation like this. Things would have been different if she had stayed inside the basement cabin. As I always say FATE LEAVES NONE.
After an eternity of roaring sea waves, her ears felt so silent. As if she is drowned, for a quick moment she thought that she is dead until she heard a soothing voice of a man beside her. *'CALM AFTER A STORM' is indeed real only to people who have experienced*
She heard a man speak in a soft tone. "Young Miss! Are you alright?" she felt a hand slapping her cheek gently. She couldn't open her eyes but she felt all real and vivid. She wished that everything could be true and not her mere dream.
She sluggishly fluttered her eyes open to see the bright world in front of her like a butterfly flapping its wings for the first time when it reaches out from the cocoon. She saw a man in front of her but her vision was dull.
He was more a savior to her eyes who came to rescue her from the beautiful hell of blue which was once her comfort place.
She quickly rubbed her eyes with the back of her palm. Her face blushed immediately as she noticed him staring at her. She again rubbed her eyes to confirm the image in front of her was a man and not an illusion of hers.
Everything about him is unique in its way, his amber-colored eyes were magical. She couldn't believe what she saw and what she heard, since his voice is hypnotical.
He waved his hands in front of her face to get her attention, as she seemed so confused.
'Is this person being real? Why do feel him so close to me? Wait!!!!! He is the person whom I usually see in my dreams!!!!!!' her clogged-up mind started to clear as soon as she started to remember his face.
'Those eyes…are they real?' she mused in her pool of thoughts.
Her psychological battle came to an end when she heard him speak again.
"Are you alright? Can you speak?" he spoke looking into her eyes deeply penetrating her mind and soul.
"Ye-s I'm go-od!" her words stumbled as she coughed hard as she must have unconsciously drunk water.
She was dripping wet and her body was trembling and shaking due to the cool evening breeze.
The sky is darker with a pale tint of orange-red colour which is reflected in the water, as the sun started to set its way back home majestically.
As she fell into the daze of the beautiful sunset, she felt a warm blanket over her trembling body.
The person who spoke before helped her to sit and sat beside her covering her little petite body using his cloak. His kindness was warm enough to make her cold fly away. She felt his warmness over her and his musky sweet scent all over her from his cloak. It was a beautiful fragrance that she had never smelled before. It is mild, yet so attractive.
She unconsciously blushed at his sweet gesture making him wink at her.
"Thank you, sir!" she whispered with her sweetest voice looking into his amber-colored eyes. Her voice is not so audible yet he could understand her and nodded his head in reply with a beautiful smile.
"Would you mind if I ask your name?" Armelle opened her mouth after a long silence.
"Bubbs!!" you can call me like that.
Armelle: "????"
