"No! I am not going to his office anymore."
I spoke angrily at the servant who came to my room to fetch me.
"Sorry m-ma'am?"
The servant was shocked.
"You hate me, too. Don't you?", I asked the servant.
Ugh!!! I know, I am getting mad at a wrong person. I was mad at Ervius, but I poured my anger on someone else. I am miserable right now.
"Well, all of us here, we don't hate you Lady Johanna…", the servant replied.
"…Liar", I said angrily.
"No ma'am, we wanted to be friends with you. Everyone says that Ms. Johanna is a cheerful, brave and lovely person…", the servant said to me in a calm tone.
Well, I can't be mad to a person complimenting me that much, right?
"Well, it is Ervius who is cold, right?", I added.
The servant said, "Uhmm, Prince Ervius may be cold outside, but he is warm inside…".
"You're falling to his lies, aren't you?", I said.
"Yes, you seem so."
It was Ervius. It was the first time he visited me in his own will.
"…Why did you visit me? I thought you are busy, busy with your work?"
"Cheerful, brave, and lovely…", he stared down over my face with an amused look.
"Everyone seems to be a good liar.", he said.
Automatically, the servant bowed and apologized to Ervius.
"So why are you here?", I asked him.
"Just…. j-just passing by…", he replied.
"Hmph! Why don't you just pass by then?", I said to him.
He was silent. He glanced at me once and left.
The other day, Ervius gave me a letter.
He said, "Johanna, I heard that you didn't want to visit my office. About the other princes, you may forget that. I am hoping to work things out well while you are staying here."
