The Calls of the Ocean
The rowdy people in the beach were absent-minded because of the blasting music, wild games, and luscious desserts. Parties like this were a thing to me because of my brother, Luke, was practically invited to every one. And he dragged me along every single time.
I was starting to get bored until Zac pulled my arm. He said that he was taking me to the beach so I complied since I had nothing else to do in mind. As we walked down the white sand, I looked to my horizon. The sun was lulled over as the dark sky's stars came out of their long deep sleep.
And out in the middle of the sea, I spotted a boat heading to shore. The boat was nothing like I've ever seen before. It appeared to be a sparkling gem under the moon's illumines light. The boat's flag were torn into half. It was accurately torn as if it hadn't been torn by accident. The flag was divided into two colors: gold and silver.
I suddenly heard a pleading voice as if it was calling for help. It was a man's voice. A soothing dark voice.
"Did you hear that ?" I asked Zac
"Heard what?" He asked, dumbfounded by my question
If he didn't hear that. Then what was I hearing? Maybe it was just a hallucination form the party. I assured myself.
"Nothing. I probably got it wrong." I rushed towards the boat and shouted "mind giving me a hand, Zac?"
"Coming! "
Zac picked up the ravaged silver flag, "This is awesome. It feels like silk...so soft."
I grabbed the other piece half of the flag.
What if both flags are connected? What will it form?
I pieced the two tattered flag. Instantaneously, the two pieces connected like a puzzle piece. A dim glow could be seen. Then, a bigger glow. A glow that seemed to transform the flag into a map. Maybe the map—
"Sis, I've been looking for you everywhere. Don't you know it's already one o'clock in the afternoon? You and Zac had been missing since last night! " my brother furiously fumed as he kicked a pebble in front of him. "Do you know how worried I was? I had to..."
I wasn't listening anymore. I looked at Zac. He look back at me. And we were both thinking the same thing. Time was so fast. Over in a snap. Everything happened in a split second. It was like magic. A magic mystery I needed to solve. A mystery of the ocean; the calls of the ocean.
