The stars look so bright as they dazzle in the shadows of the night. The stars were wondering high above as they look down against the millions of pine trees filled with children and townspeople in bright and colorful clothes.
But the ones the stars were fixated on were the little girl and boy.
The stars watched them grow up, little by little. The two played around the fountain, danced in the streets and finally—
"Dalina, let's go beyond this little city. Don't you wonder what the place there looks like?" The teenaged lad looked up in the girl's eyes then up in the sky.
"B-but I love this place. It's something I can't seem to say goodbye to..." The girl wavered as she clutched her dress tightly.
"Then I'll go first and come back for you later. One year from now. This same place. I'll meet you."
—the two separated. Little did they know that it wasn't just one year nor two nor three years before they'll see each other again...
The stars watch the little girl grow up and saw in the little girl's eyes what the other people couldn't. The stars saw the girl longing and waiting for the little boy to come back.
But the stars knew that the little boy wouldn't come back so they whispered some advice to the little girl's ears to go out beyond the city. And the little girl did. She went to find the little boy.
And perhaps, the stars thought, the little girl would soon find not only the little boy but also herself.
