He breathed heavily, smiling so happy to see me.
I glanced at Mina, she immediately knew what I was up to.
I don't know him, but I know that I met him the first day I entered this world.
"Ah, Sir Kian Lyon, it really was a long time no see!"
Mina spoke out.
Really, this girl deserves so much.
I might treat her on a tea some time.
"Sir Lyon, indeed, it was a very long time.
No, actually the day before yesterday, you helped me out. Thank you for doing so."
I said, averting his eyes with a monotone tone.
"...I'd do it any time."
He said.
"I just came to take a look. What the knights were doing. Sorry if I disturbed you."
I said, while staring at the knights training with each other.
His eyes followed my stare.
I don't know if it is because it is a novel. But they really look good.
A lot of handsome men.
I wouldn't mind coming here a lot to mooden up a little bit. I nodded mentally.
He now stood right in front of me.
I looked further right to see the knights, but he took a step to the right, so he stood in front of me again.
What is he up to?
This happened almost five times.
I sighed and looked up to him, to be met with a pair of eyes already staring at me.
I flinched because of his sudden stare, but didn't back off.
"May I know what you are up to, Sir Lyon?"
I asked annoyed.
"You haven't even looked at me once, my Lady."
"So?"
"I haven't seen you for almost four years. Except for the day when you were lost, but you were ill at that time."
Did Lady Zephyra have a certain relationship with him?
If so, why haven't they seen each other for four years?
Maybe he thinks I'm the same Zephyra after all this time?
I sighed again.
"Listen, Sir Lyon. A lot of time passed by, and when time passes everything changes.
The environment, people, including me.
I've become a different person now."
No, literally. I'm literally another person.
He hesitated, but continued.
"You might be right, my Lady. Sorry for bothering you."
He surely got hurt. I can tell just by looking at his face.
"Well, what brought you here then?"
"I want to practice swordsmanship. Being able to defend myself and stay fit."
Suddenly everything got silent.
I took my eyes off of him, and saw that everyone was looking at me.
I could hear all the whispering.
"Did she say she wants to practice swordsmanship?"
"You did hear that too right?"
"Our Lady Zephyra?"
"Shh, she might hear us."
Yes, I can hear you all.
I didn't even said that out loud, how did they hear me?
I sighed the third time, this time mentally.
It got silent again.
All the knights came to me, surrounding me, Mina and Sir Lyon.
"Is it true, that our Lady wants to train with us?"
a voice said from the front. It was a blond boy, probably one year younger than me.
I wanted to answer him, but I got interrupted again.
This time, it was a voice from behind the gathered knights.
"She surely plans something."
"S-She will hear you."
"Telling the truth isn't something you should be afraid of.
May it be having the attention of the knights, maybe even Sir Lyon or some other dirty plan, I don't believe her."
It annoyed me, but I remained silent.
"You— how dare you speak so disrespectfully about our Lady! You—"
I stopped Sir Lyon, by simply touching his shoulder.
He looked at me with an angry expression, but soon it faded away and his eyes softened.
I didn't look at him.
I was rather interested in the man, who dared to talk to Lady Zephyra— to me like that.
"You."
I began.
"Come forward."
I said calmly but loud enough that he could hear me.
He stepped forward, the knights making him some way.
I widened my eyes, but quickly remained neutral.
He had coal dark hair, and raven black, big, thin almond eyes. Narrowing his eyes he glared directly into mine.
He is truly beautiful.
Although he is not the extraordinary type, more like the handsome people like in my world.
The people in my previous world, were also uniquely beautiful.
Not that they are here that different.
I mean here they have different eye and hair colours. Maybe other things I don't know of, since it's a fantasy novel.
Without being aware of that, I was smiling at that thought.
I kept my little smile.
"Tell me your name." I demanded.
He was neither nervous, nor tensed up.
His annoyed face remained.
I was not suprised, to be honest.
He has every right to think so.
According to everyone, Lady Zephyra might have been a very bad person, taking advantages of anyone and anything.
Hurting people, things I yet don't have a clue of.
But it wasn't me.
It was Zephyra.
So, I'm convinced that I have every right to change.
Even, may it be for now, it'll be a minimal change.
I hated the monarchy.
Even in my own world.
I've never been in that period of time, but I could imagine how many people suffered because of it.
Because of the class system.
No one could raise their voice against anything.
Commoners, people of the lowest class suffered the most. They never chose to be like that.
But the society never listened.
The society— no, the people were selfish, since the society was made out of people.
The fear of called—being the same as the lowest class.
They knew how horrible it was, but they remained silent.
Just because they were in a comfortable situation.
Just thinking about it made my blood boil.
Not being able to treat Mina the same as an equal made me angry.
As if she wouldn't be human, just some filth.
Even though, and I'm sure of it, she did a lot of things for Zephyra and also for me.
I could understand Aelia.
I could understand her, for wanting to build a rebellion against the imperial family— her own family and other arrogant nobles.
I could understand why she wanted to corrupt the class system and the monarchy.
How she wanted to treat everyone as her equal.
May it be from her trauma, or something else I don't know of.
If I would have the chance, I would help her.
I don't want to see more people suffer from this society.
Saving them from this disgusting dystopia.
"My name is Luan Brick."
I stepped forward, until there were merely some inches apart from my body to his.
He had a tall figure, broad shoulders.
He was as fit as Sir Lyon.
"You have quite the interesting name, Luan."
He narrowed his eyes further as if he meant
Spit it out already. Say what you want.
What do you really want?
"You would have every right to say that. If you knew me.
But unfortunately you don't know me.
I admit that my past self was a horrible person and I apologize in case I hurt you.
But what you said was still inappropriate."
I said with a neutral face.
He widened his eyes, not knowing how to react.
I understood, that he couldn't react.
I looked over to the knights.
The whispering began.
"He should apologize."
"After all it's our Lady."
"He should know his place."
I'm sorry.
For people telling you to know your place.
I'm no higher than you.
No any holy creature.
"... I sincerely apo—"
"I want to offer you something."
I interrupted him, so he couldn't say it.
He stopped and listened as the other knights did.
I purposely offered it here, so he couldn't negotiate, because of the people watching.
"What about being my personal knight?"
