'It doesn't hurt anymore...
Is this... death? I feel scared. Am I going to be alone here forever? Am I going to be judged by some entity?'
Veronica tried to sigh at her misfortune, she faintly felt tears slipping down her bloody eyes. Today was the day she would've been adopted by Lily. Her dream would have come true. She would be part of a family she called her own.
'This day was going to be perfect... The kind of day, which I've dreamed since I was small...
Ah... I wish I could've seen the ending of One piece at least before I died. And finish Boruto too... lily said had said that she would be making me watch My little pony's movie after that...
Damn. It would've been nice to hear Tokyo ghoul's unravel instead of these ambulance sirens. I wonder who even called the ambulance though, I thought we were alone in the forest...? I wish I could've killed him at least if I was going to die like this. It wasn't as though he wouldn't have deserved it.'
She wanted to cry her heart out yet her tears seemed to have stopped. She couldn't feel anything, neither the cold concrete underneath her nor the warm blood flowing out her stomach. She saw her whole life flash before her eyes. She wished she could've hugged and said goodbye to her one last time. She wished she could see the two of them just once before she was gone.
*Once the heart gets too heavy with pain, people don't cry. They just turn silent. Completely silent.*

'WHY DOES EVERYTHING HURT SO MUCH?!!! DIDN'T I DIE? Am I in hell?!!!'
Veronica felt water enter her eyes when she opened them. Closing them again, a groan left her mouth.
'Ok so, I'm drowning... I can't speak. Nor can I open my eyes. And my wounds are very serious as well.'
She tried to move her arms and legs but it didn't work. She would feel a terrifying amount of pain when she did.
Suddenly she felt her body being pulled upwards. It was as though she had lost control of her body and felt someone had possessed her. It hurt so much. She wanted to scream and shout in pain.
She tried opening her eyes once again, when she felt she was out of the water. The sight amazed her. It was as though the water, or whatever the blue thing might have been, had a mind of it's own. It helped her land towards a log floating down the stream so she could stabilize herself and float towards the land.
'Why does everything look kind of weird... and big? If this was a forest then there would be bugs and ants and a lot of other creatures around here. Also, that tree looks like it had been burned. Maybe something happened around here.
But how did I end up in a river anyways? I heard ambulance sirens before I died, or passed out, so...
No point in thinking about it right now I guess.'
Veronica tried to use her clothes and scrunch them on top of her bleeding stomach to reduce blood loss but because of the river, she couldn't do anything much. She almost screamed out in pain at her accidently putting too much pressure on her wound but a pain even worse over took her. She gulped and tried to sit up on the log.
She tried to ignore the faint metallic taste on her tongue.
'I can only hope someone will find me before I die.'
Feeling someone staring at her, she turned to look at two people coming towards her. They were running very fast for normal human beings and one of them was even jumping on the trees. Perhaps she had started hallucinating things.
The two men patched up her wounds as best as they could and the one with brown hair carefully picked her up and took off running. She couldn't make out any of their conversation but she was able to pick up that they were going to take her to a village of sorts.
'Now that I look closely... That guy over there looks like Kakashi. This one looks a lot like Asuma too... They even dress up and move like ninja...
Am I really dreaming that I'm in Naruto right now? I guess I really was obsessed with the anime too much.'
She soon passed out.
