Shortly thereafter, they are all now in the living room. But, as Tohru commented to Hatori on how beautiful the view and lake are, her male cousin went to him and asked if the vacation house had any bedrooms.
"Yes, upstairs," answered Hatori back.
With that, Tohru's male cousin went upstairs to lay down on the bed of one of the bedrooms.
Watching this, Kyo, Masayuki, and Yuki are a bit upset that he wants an alone time for himself without them.
"Such a selfish brat."
At that point, Pablo apologized nicely for his cold and distant attitude.
Later, while Tohru, Kyo, and Yuki are out walking in the woods, before he would read any of Shigure's books, Hatori sat down on the sofa, and looked at Masayuki and Pablo. Handa and Emiko are unloading the contents of their tote bag just in case anyone would become hungry or thirsty.
"Masayuki," Hatori said to Masayuki directly.
"Yes?" Masayuki sat down on the other side of the sofa.
"What is the meaning behind your name?" Hatori asked.
"Oh, um, it's correct happiness."
Then, Pablo joined in the chat. "Yes, I chose that because I want him to be happy in his own terms and values."
"I see." Hatori grabbed one of Shigure's books. "Also, I heard from Ayame that you're also an online book writer."
"Oh, yeah, I am," Masayuki responded positively. "I earned like 2,000-3,000 yen per month."
"He's aspiring to be a writer, Hatori-san," Pablo explained.
He knows Hatori's name from his children.
"Okay, I hoped your stories would be published in physical format." Hatori let out a slight smile.
"I am not sure, Hatori-san," Masayuki replied back. "I think I would be rejected by any publishing company because my stories are all in English."
"Is that so?"
"Yes, he's very fluent in English and Tagalog from a young age," Pablo explained.
"Oh, right, you're a foreigner, am I right?"
"Yes, I had been living in this country for more than 20 years," Pablo responded. "Back then, I was an orphan living in an orphanage in the Philippines."
"Okay, where in the Philippines?" Hatori asked. "Manila?"
"No, in the city of Tagaytay, south of Manila," Masayuki responded. "A childless Japanese couple adopted him when he was young."
He knows this from his father when he was in elementary school.
"I see," Hatori commented. "So, does your father go to university?"
"Yes, he did," Masayuki replied back, "and he worked for a normal company straight after graduation."
"Okay, how was the work environment, Mr. Honda?" Hatori asked. "It must've been tough for a foreigner like you."
"It's fine," Pablo answered back. "Everyone in my workplace treats me nicely, and my salary is enough to pay my 4 children's tuitions."
"That must be a high one, isn't it?"
"Yes, and recently, I got promoted to manager, and got a raise," Pablo continued on.
"Yeah, I already know that," Masayuki added.
He then went outside to get some fresh air.
Shigure then sat down on a chair in the living room.
But Masayuki has no idea that someone from abroad will publish his works in physical form someday.
