After convincing his parents to let him join this battle Kaijin decided to spend some time with his brothers and he took them to nearby forest for a hunt.
Whenever Kaijin visited his family he always used to took his brothers to nearby forest , when they were just a year old he used to play with them at home but after taking them with him to forest one time they always requested him to take them to forest whenever he is home.
" Big bro how long till your graduation"
" are you the strongest in the academy"
" I heard you lost in the finals "
" Shut up you idiot the person who fought big bro was the Prince and also older than him"
" can we also be strong like you big bro"
" when will we join the academy"
While on the way to forest Kaijin's brothers threw a several questions at him and he just answered them like a big brother with a smile.
" So will you guys show me how much you practiced" Kaijin asked the twins
" Yes after we turned 4 , dad taught us fire magic" the twins said at the same time it was a habit of them always speaking at the same time and completing each other's sentences.
And then first Will showed Kaijin by making a fire ball it was very small around 4 cm in diameter but then Wick tried to show his superiority and made a fire ball of 5 cm and was even able to throw it.
" see big bro Will is good in water magic but I'm good in fire magic" Wick said with a proud face
" well congratulations to you but you should never throw fire ball like that what if you accidentally hit someone or the fire spreads" Kaijin corrected his little brother.
Kaijin went in the direction where Wick threw the fire ball and was surprised that the fire didn't spread but the fire ball was still there intact.
' hmm they also seem to have huge potential' Kaijin thought and smiled but then he saw something , there were some dried ground and trees in this luscious forest.
' Undead?' Kaijin thought.
Kaijin immediately sent mana waves around the forest like a sonar to detect anything that he could perceive as danger but he didn't found anything.
" what happened big bro" twins said when they noticed Kaijin's face which now lost the smile.
" I think a monster was there" Kaijin said
" really a real monster other than the forest beasts" the twins were amused to hear it thinking that they would see their big bro in action.
" but he is gone now" Kaijin said and now the twins lost their smiles
" was there only 1 monster" the twins asked
' yeah undead doesn't travel alone and these dried spots only indicate that their numbers were less than 3 maybe even 1' Kaijin thought
" what if they were following you big bro"
And immediately Kaijin started to think
' I didn't know my brothers are so smart.. If I'm considering every possibility than it could be the case and if they were following me that would explain their low numbers but a greater undead is smart enough to not take such risks and normal undeads can be controlled but not this precisely and i was the one who retaliated when they attacked academy and I also ate that stone which they used to absorb the mana and this would explain why they would target me ' Kaijin thought and immediately decided to head home.
" What"
" so you think someone is leading the undeads"
" well you are probably right I also checked the forest"
" I think they are targeting us because we hold a strong position in army"
Kaijin was listening to his parents and wanted to say that maybe the undead was following him but he decided not to because then his parents would told him to not participate in the battle.
Kaijin parents informed this to the Kingdom's Council and told them to check the area surrounding the important officials of kingdom.
It was around 9 when Kaijin was having a dinner with his family when Kenny's bracelet started ringing and it was a call from Council , Kenny answered the call and then after a moment ended the call.
" I think we need to finish the dinner fast there has been a sudden attack on the battle command centre where the commanders of all 3 kingdoms are" Kenny said and looked at Kaijin thinking that its going to be his 1st big battle.
After finishing the dinner Kenny called his father and asked him to come here and take the kids after a while Kaijin's grandpa came and he gave him a hug and then his grandpa took the twins with him.
Kaijin's parents were dressed in a silver armour with golden strips all around the armour and it was shining brightly and in the armour they both were looking quite muscular and royal.
" you wanted to see our Guardian beast right" Kenny asked looking at Kaijin
" well here they are" Jenny said while looking at sky.
There were 2 figures in the air which seemed to have very wide wings Kaijin thought if they were wyvern but they were quite small and then he saw white horses in purple sky and they landed softly in the ground in front of them.
" Pegasus " Kaijin was mesmerised with their beauty
" They are as rare as a dragon and they are also a couple like us hahaha" Kenny was proud of them
" looks quite royal isn't it" Jenny said with a smile
" well you guys go I will come following you" Kaijin said thinking about making a grand entrance.
Kaijin's parents went ahead and after 30 minutes they were at the command centre they covered the distance which usually take 1:30 hours in just 30 minutes.
" what's the situation" Jenny asked a soldier which was handing reports to his superiors
" Mrs Warmonger" The soldier was happy to see her he knew how powerful the warmongers were.
" Kenny - Jenny finally you've arrived" The commander of Soul kingdom's army said he was a 5.10 ft tall man with a mustache and black hairs which were now slightly white due to old age he was happy to see his best soldiers
" Commander Erwin" They gave him a salute
" There's no need to be so formal with me" Erwin said and led then to command centre where the other commanders were sitting
" This is commander Hermon Bree of Regis kingdom" He was 6ft tall with white hair and beard indicating his old age also some frowns were on his face
" and Commander Wesley Kirk of Regalia Kingdom" he was a bald man with white beard and a left stone eye with a scar and he was as fit as a horse quite muscular.
" Gentlemen Kenny and Jenny Warmonger" they gave the commanders a salute
" it's a pleasure to meet you" Erwin said and then they sat in the chairs around a circular table
" what's the situation" Jenny said while looking at some reports
" we patrolled on a daily basis but never saw something suspicious aside from a few undead but then they suddenly attacked out of nowhere , we suffered some casualties due to this but we defended somehow , killing them is not hard but it takes much time to kill them and their numbers are uncountable at least 20 - 30 million " Erwin said
" The undead are weak and slow but the soldiers are getting tired now and our number is only 10 million and the reinforcement will take some time to arrive because the allied forces are spread all around the borders. " Wesley said
" but the biggest problem is they are also coordinating somehow first we didn't expect it but after 1 hour of fighting we noticed that they are fighting with a strategy in mind and then we also fought some greater undeads who were much stronger and they were leading their armies and we also saw some undead beasts in their army and our scouts also reported that a huge number of beasts is also on there way to battlefield " Commander Hermon said
After a pause Jenny said
" Well we are in a tough spot I don't think that we should rely on any reinforcement if they are fighting with a strategy in mind then they will attack some villages to spread our forces thin and we recently found out that the undead have been following our high officials so we should expect that they know some of our information and I also think that we all should participate in the battle now " Jenny said and then continued
" The numbers of undead doesn't mean much but after some time when our soldiers will be tired the numbers will start to suppress us , undead never stops and they don't die unless we completely destroy their head and the upcoming undead beasts will be a huge problem and I'm pretty sure that the undead beasts will be the last of their armies because they are not trying to win the war in one day they want us to get tired so they will try to drag out the war and save some forces for the next day and also if we suffer too many casualties we will not be able to fight properly on the 2nd day " Jenny concluded and every one nodded
Jenny was quite smart when making strategies that was the reason that even if Kenny was stronger he never tried to lead from the front or plan a strategy and he always relied on Jenny for her sharp mind and everyone knew how they both fully rely on each other. Jenny just tells Kenny what to do on the battlefield and he follows without a question.
