Chapter 1 - The Child Prodigy

Long time ago, monsters and beasts suddenly appeared as a giant circular object which they called the 'gates' suddenly popped up out of nowhere in the great Land of Raelia. Due to the frightening unprecedented situation. Raelis launched the Five Great Eldians. They are the five strongest mages and fighters who fought for the sake of the safeness of the people of Raelia. They are a group of a Human, Elf, Ogre, Dwarf, and a Witch.

Just as when the Five Great Eldians thought that the hell is over as they obliterated the boss in the last largest gate that was remaining in the outskirts of Raelia... A terrifying phenomenon occurred.

War broke out.

Between Unknown Beings VS the Five Great Eldians.

After the closing of that gate, a massive size of a gate appeared, ONCE MORE. The creatures there started to come out one by one. These Unknown Beings were far from the monsters and beasts that reside inside the gates. They were far more stronger, scarier in looks, and they were also intelligent beings. With their aura reeking of a strong stench of malicious intent. They massacred most of the people and destroyed the land.

However, whatever their purpose was wasn't known because they were all killed by the Five Great Eldians...

"It shatters my dignity to be shunned by puny lowly beings such as yourselves! *cough*... But for now, I'll allow you to rejoice for a moment but always remember that we are always watching you." The leader of the horde of corpses spoke revealing his evil grin but was soon wiped off as purple blood started to come out from his mouth.

"Behold, trash of the Vandora! Your moment shall end by the time we regain our honor. HAHAHA!" ... The boss once again scanned the Five Great Eldians and soon stopped his gaze at the witch. The Witch gave him her sharpest look and released her deadly aura which made the boss cowered a bit but... "You think you all can get away with this? Just wait unti...'' his words weren't finished as the elf pierced his chest with his long blazing sword.

And with that, the war ended. People rejoiced as the deadly figures were of no sightings anymore, but mourned concomitantly for the majority of the people, lost their loved ones.

Leaving so many casualties. With the Five Great Eldians barely able to protect the people, each and every one of them started to blame each other because of how they were not able to save the destroyed land as well as the lives of the people. Soon, the hearts of the people start to distance themselves from the people who are not of their races, discrimination started.

Bigotry among the five different races arose. Due to the heated discrimination, the Five Great Eldians decided to separate and start their own nations. The once glorified and unified Kingdom of Raelia has now scattered into five kingdoms with the former Great Eldians as their leaders but eventually turned four because the Witches' Clan was extinct since there are only a few family in that clan and most of them were obliterated and their ruler, former member of the Five Great Eldian met her end eventually.

The Elves that live in the Kingdom of Legian. With their appearance of skin as white as snow, tall yet slender, burgundy hair, a pair of green eyes, and most of all, their long and pointy ears. The Kingdom of Legian was known for the high quality Elixirs they make. But there are two types of Elves. The Yano Elves are known for their research in Elixir making and the second one is Kuni Elves, they specialize in assassination.

Ogres from the Kingdom of Hubber. Ogres have the appearance of tall and tanned skin, and have one small horn on their left temple, a navy blue hair color, and dark blue eyes. The Hubberians are geniuses when it comes to inventions.

Dwarves from the Kingdom of Ravan. Dwarves are much smaller in height, but they possess a high talent in craftsmanship and being a swordsmith. They have silver hair and brown eyes.

Last but not the least, Humans from the Kingdom of Carrion. Everyone varies their hair and eye colors. Some of the humans possess a mana core and some don't. Humans have a lot of varieties to which they belong such as being plainly a civilian, historians, and mages.

And now, in the present... Despite the separation of each clans, in a small village of Laveri located at the outskirts of the Great Continent of Raelia in between the border of Legian and Ravan, it seems like what happened 300 years ago didn't occur for the four clans were still on good terms with each other and even marry. In fact, everyone living in that hamlet were all half-bloods except for the old man and the 7 year old boy living at the summit of the mountain in Laveri.

The young boy with long straight black shiny hair and his deep emerald green eyes was renowned as the "Child Prodigy". He first awakened his mana core at the age of 10 months from being born. The child grew up being trained at the most avoided place. The Marum Woods. But after the boy turned 5, his grandfather left the village and came back every first week of the month. Even when his grandfather barely trains him, the boy still continues to advance himself and even hunt beasts for everyone in the village to feast on.

And now, another day has come meanwhile, the young boy...

Kaiser's POV

I woke up by slowly opening my dozy eyes as I felt a light warmth on my face as if the sun gave me her usual 'good morning' kiss with the familiar loud yet enchanting chirpings of the bird. "Hmm!" I moaned as I stretched my arms and took a look at the hanging calendar behind my little door.

"It's the 3rd day of Marsch, huh. That means, the curmudgeon is gonna come home." I mumbled as I dressed up and packed my short sword and ropes. Well, I'm about to go for a hunt after all. Otherwise, that old man won't stop nagging me for the rest of the day. Ugh! I rolled my eyes heavenwards as thinking about it only pains me.

I paved my way to the small village beneath the mountain where we reside. While at it, I picked some wild berries and ate them.

I put my hands behind my head and enjoyed the quiet saunter down the mountain. Mornings are the best. The slight breeze of the wind, subtle dances of the leaves, and the singing of the birds.

"Ahhh! This is just the best!", I said as I kept on walking...

Later on, I arrived at the open swath of land where few wooden houses came to my sight, with the lively villagers greeting each other, the place where the beautiful green surroundings embrace the inhabitants of the small village of Laveri. "A fresh sight, indeed!" I said cheerily as I entered the hamlet.

"A lovely morning, Gramma Rith!"

"Oh dear! A lovely morning to you, too, child!" the elderly elf woman with her crescent eyes forming as she gave me her warm smile, said.

"Hey, Kai! You up to hunting again?'' Benson said as he accompanied his mother Gramma Rith to sit on a sturdy wood just in front of their wooden house.

"Yup!"

"This child! How can your grandfather let you into the Malum Woods? Where none of us even dare to step a few blocks away from that place. Your grandfather must've really lost his screws, no?" the beautiful dwarf with big builds jokingly said. I laughed at how accurate she actually is.

"You're definitely right about that cranky old man losing his screws, Aunt Jina," I giggled.

"Kaiser! I think you should stop going to that forest. It's too dangerous for a 7 year old child like you. Just stay home and wait while we do the hunting instead." the worried young man with a small horn on his temple said.

"It's okay, Fabian! I've been into that forest since the day my old man lost his screws. That old man made that place my training grounds, after all." I sarcastically said which made everyone laugh including me.

"Dear! But You are j---", I didn't let him finish talking as I have already heard that a lot of times. "Fabian! I may still be young but I'm strong, you know... probably stronger than you.", everyone burst into laughter as they heard.

"Dear Fabian! Why worry about the child when his strength is almost unrivaled in this village.", His wife, Joanna, said agreeing to my statement which made me stick out my little tongue to tease Fabian.

"Yeah right, whatever! This cocky little brat! Better off you go now, otherwise you'll be hunted instead of hunting. Ha ha ha!" he said as he childishly stuck out his tongue too, but I only gave him the 'We'll see' look.

Fabian's POV

As I stared at the black haired human boy's back, I can't help but feel proud. For someone as genius and strong as him to be raised and grow up in this remote village. In fact, there were only about twenty-four families in this village. None of us has ever gone out of this place nor our ancestors did after what happened three hundred years ago. It's not that we don't want to go out but because we can't. Because in order to go out of this place is to cross that damned forest.

Just to let you know, the level of danger in that forest intensifies more especially at the middle of the whole forest, the Centrifugon. The monsters that are living in Centrifugon are much more deadly. I don't exactly know but according to my grandfather, the beings that were there act like it's as if they are guarding or protecting something. That's why we Laverians are safe until now because the monsters there don't leave that place. Even so, beasts living near the entrance are still strong. Defeating one beast even needs three people, geez. But for Kaiser? Nah, I can't even imagine just how monstrous that child is. To be able to just come and go inside that blood-curdling forest. I really can't even imagine to begin with.

That's why everyone was so shocked when the villagers learned that the child's grandfather took the three year old Kaiser to that forest and went back with a face screaming victory while being carried by his grandfather by the neck. And what they brought was the most ferocious beast in the first level of the forest, and there were even three of them being pulled by a large wooden wain. Everyone feasted in it.

Anyway, I don't think I need to worry about that child's safety. After all, he's also quite the monster himself, being the grandson and trained by the strongest man of the Laveri. We don't actually know where that old man goes as he only comes back every first week of the month and leaves after 7 days.

As the son of the chief of the village, I can definitely tell that the child's grandfather is so strong that he could just enter and exit the forest at will. When he comes back after travelling to wherever his destination was, he always brings stories about how his adventure went. Dang! That crazy old man raising a monster. Sometimes, I am afraid of Kaiser's capabilities seeing how powerful he has become at just the age of five. Normally, awakening happens by the age of 10. But according to his grandfather, his first awakening was when he was only 10 months old. So it's no wonder why these people are not worrying about this child's safety whenever he goes for a hunt or to train in that forest since they were all aware of how capable he actually is. Well, the good thing is he doesn't go near the Centrifugon so everything's good.

Now we'll just have to wait and see what that brat is gonna take home.

"Go, scamp! Let's see what you'll get today!"
