Ayana raised her eyebrow as she looked at Maria's side. This was the stern Maria that she rarely saw again after they got so close.
"She could be one of the monsters in this forest that wants to take advantage of her victims," Carlo said.
"Taking advantage of her victims? By doing what? Saving us from the shock wave? Fighting with us? Lead us into hiding and care for us?" Maria looked totally annoyed and defensive. She even swings the sword in her hand unconsciously, making Nari, Fillan, and Carlo take another step back.
