Chapter 36 - Met Dennis Again. What New Tricks Was He Playing?!

The third sister was coming back?

Simon nodded. "I haven't said hello to the Third Sister. When will she be home?"

Seeing that her brother was so sensible, Jane smiled gently. "You don't have to be so polite."

"Actually, the driver was called away by your Fifth Sister today. When you want to come back, ask your Third Sister to pick you up."

"Don't take a taxi alone, do you know it's not safe?"

Simon laughed in his heart.

Jane was really overprotective.

Simon was already so old, could the taxi driver sell him out?

"Did you hear what I said?" Jane frowned slightly and stared at Simon with a serious face.

"Yes, I know, Big Sister."

"If you know it, then do it. I'll send Mary's number to you."

"Okay, thank you, Big Sister."

After breakfast, Jane rushed to work.

Simon wandered around the house twice but did not find any new faces, so he could only give up.

It was eleven o'clock.

Looking at the clock on the wall, it was almost time for the appointment.

Simon found a slightly formal outfit to put on and left the house with his cell phone.

Actually, he was still a little confused about this class reunion.

After all, when he was in school, he was busy studying. He was alone most of the days and didn't know his roommates very well.

And many were always against him because of Dennis.

Many people who wanted to curry favor with Dennis also didn't like him, and they often found fault with him in a weird way.

There were no good memories of his school days.

However, on second thought, they would go their separate ways after they graduated, and probably they might never see each other again.

After all, they had been classmates for four years, so Simon still wanted to take a look.

The taxi stopped at the ground floor of the Cahill Hotel.

This was a famous top-class hotel in San Tico. It was designed by a famous international designer using a palace as a prototype.

Just by standing at the door, one could smell the luxury.

When the bellman saw a car parked at the entrance, he hurriedly went forward to open the door.

Walking up the spiral staircase, the door of the banquet hall on the third floor was wide open, and soothing music slowly flowed out.

Just as Simon reached the door, a huge crystal chandelier came into view.

The entire banquet hall was mainly made of crystals. The air in the hall was filled with the sweet smell of cake.

Rather than calling it a class reunion, it was more like a dance party.

Female students wearing all kinds of dresses bloomed around the hall like flowers.

A piece of ancient music was played by their high heels.

"Hey, isn't this Mr. Top Student? I'm sorry for not welcoming you!"

Simon heard the voice before he saw the man.

Simon laughed grimly. It was really an inevitable clash between opposing factions.

He was too familiar with this voice. Who else could it be but Dennis?

He did not expect that after being fired by him, Dennis still had the face to appear at the class reunion.

"Yo, Dennis, have you found a new job?" Simon smiled and greeted him.

If Dennis behaved himself, nothing would have happened between them.

If Dennis dared to come and ask for trouble, then he should not blame Simon!

When Dennis heard Simon's ridicule, not only did he not shrink back, he was even more pleased with himself.

He moved closer to Simon's ear and said sternly, "Simon, don't think that I don't know that Creative is about to close down."

"You're just a general without an army, what are you pretending in front of me!"

"If you know what's good for you, then admit your mistake. Otherwise, you'll be in big trouble."

Simon snorted in disdain.

Dennis was such a person who never learned from his mistakes.

Perhaps he thought that Simon was very tolerant.

Moreover, he was quite quick to receive news. He actually knew about the internal affairs of the Creative Company so quickly.

Thinking about it carefully, Dennis was in the technology department.

Simon suddenly felt that this matter was interesting.

Could it be that Dennis and Douglas had a connection?

He raised his head and looked at the person in front of him carefully. The person in front of him was arrogant but incapable.

Although Douglas was sinister, he was not so desperate that he would use anyone.

Simon felt that he was thinking too much.

"Dennis, why are you so concerned about my company? Do you want to apply for a job?" Simon countered calmly.

"Bah! Such a lousy place!" Dennis gritted his teeth. "I don't even want it!"

"Then mind your own business and don't ask too much!"

"What did you say!" A young man behind Dennis stepped forward.

Simon recognized him. He was a classmate from the class next door. They often attended open classes together. His name seemed to be Ryan.

He was probably the most persistent follower among Dennis's many followers.

He had changed his class for himself.

"Ryan, you're still here," Simon said with a hint of disdain.

Ryan saw that Simon greeted him impolitely, so he seethed with anger. He rolled up his sleeves and was about to come up and smack him.

Suddenly, a pastry fork flew out of nowhere and hit the back of Ryan's hand, leaving a red mark.

Ryan cried out in pain, "It hurts! Who threw it?!"

His voice was extremely unpleasant and attracted the attention of everyone in the ballroom.

At the same time, they noticed Simon at the door.

"Simon! You're here." Simon's roommate, Grote, welcomed him warmly. "I thought you forgot to come."

Grote was a friendly person, and he was as cheerful as Lydia.

He was also closer to Simon than his other roommates.

"I'll definitely come as promised," Simon replied with a smile.

"Hahaha, Dennis kept talking about you just now. I was going to give you another call," Grote said.

Oh?

Dennis kept talking about him?

It seemed that Dennis had been dreaming of avenging himself. He must have come prepared on that day.

Simon would like to see what tricks he had up his sleeve.

Simon smiled grimly. "Dennis, what did you say about me?"

Dennis didn't expect Grote to be so quick-witted. Before he could do anything, Simon had seen through him.

His face turned pale, and he couldn't say a word.

Simon put his hands in his pockets and waited calmly for Dennis to put on a good show.

But in fact, ever since he was fired by Simon a day ago, Dennis had been traumatized.

He kept looking at the elevator, anxiously waiting for someone.

When he saw Simon's expression as if he was watching a show, he could only grimace and say "cordial greetings".

"Just laugh as you wish, you'll cry later!"

Simon raised his eyebrows. "Okay, I'll wait."

There was nothing. He had waited for nothing...

He should not have thought that Dennis could come up with any tricks.

Boring!

Simon rolled his eyes and beckoned for Grote to enter the hall.

"Simon, I heard from Dennis that you've taken over Hughes' company. Congratulations!"

Grote did not shut up and congratulated him loudly.

The people around them heard it and saw that Simon had suddenly changed.

Simon understood that he used to be a dull top student in the eyes of his classmates, but now he was a top student with a successful career.

After all, there were only a few people in the entire school who became boss three days after graduation.

The people who were chatting with each other just now instantly gathered together.

"Simon, I didn't expect you to be so amazing!"

"I've always admired you when we were in school!"

The praises were endless, but they were not very sincere.

Looking at the students who did not have their own opinions like sheep, Simon only smiled politely.

At this moment, he saw Dennis, who was at the periphery of the crowd, looking at him sinisterly.

If it was in the past, Dennis would definitely try his best to snatch the attention away when he saw that Simon was being pursued by others.

He actually allowed his classmates to surround Simon on that day as if everything was within his expectation.

Simon couldn't help but wonder what he had prepared?
