Chapter 37 - A Small Celebrity Gave Me Her Autograph? Who Were You?

"Simon, you became a boss after you graduate. You're the most promising person in our class."

"You worked the hardest when we were in school. How enviable!"

"Come, let's toast our friendship as classmates!"

Simon silently raised his goblet. He was like a rising star in the limelight.

Dennis seemed to have only talked about the first half of the story to his classmates, but he did not mention the crisis that happened in the company later on.

As expected, he harbored evil intentions.

Simon took a sip of the champagne in his goblet and smiled politely at his classmates.

Then, he passed through the crowd and left the swirl of flattery. He pulled Grote aside and pointed in Dennis's direction.

"Grote, do you know who Dennis is waiting for?" Simon asked in a low voice.

"He just said that he is a very powerful big shot," Grote answered truthfully.

A big shot?

Based on his understanding of Dennis, as long as someone was more powerful than him and was older than him, Dennis would call him a big shot.

More importantly, there were too many such people.

For a moment, Simon could not think of anyone.

"But Simon, after you became the boss, your taste has improved a lot!" Grote praised.

"Really?"

Simon had no idea about dressing up. He just saw a lot of new clothes in the closet.

In order to avoid the awkward situation of being treated as an interview candidate in the company like last time, he deliberately picked a more formal one.

"Of course! I can see that this is just a concept. It only appears in the press conference!"

Grott touched his chin. Although he studied science and technology, he loved to chase after celebrities.

He also knew a lot about fashion. The more he looked at Simon's clothes, the more he liked them.

Simon bowed his head and looked at himself.

He was wearing a gray casual suit.

At first glance, it looked like an ordinary style. The cut of the collar and the pattern of the cuffs showed the careful mind of the designer.

And most importantly, this suit was very suitable for his body shape.

It seemed to be customed made.

"Yup! The more I look at it, the more it looks like a concept piece. Where did you get it?"

Grote carefully touched the fabric of the suit. He could not put it down.

Simon smiled and said, "Maybe it was prepared by my sister."

"Wow, your sister really has good taste! She must be a model, right?"

Simon shook his head.

It was a pity that there was talented student and CEO among his sisters, but none of them was a model.

But thinking about it carefully, this suit was most likely prepared by his third sister.

She was a star, and also a trendsetter.

Simon touched the suit fondly and he could feel his sister's good intentions.

"Aiyo, it's so lively here today!"

At this moment, a delicate girl walked in, and she was holding a young man's arm.

The young man's body was like a bamboo pole, and he seemed like he would collapse if he was blown lightly.

The girl beside him was very pretty. She had an oval face and a small waist, and her pair of snow-white long legs occupied everyone's attention.

However, her chin was frighteningly sharp, and it was obvious that it had been fixed.

The two of them swayed to the center of the hall, receiving the baptism of gazes.

Dennis hurriedly went up to him. "Senior Chasel, you're finally here!"

The man called Chasel lit a cigar and said casually, "Let me introduce you to my girlfriend, Sofia, the belle of the Glynton Acting Academy!"

Simon had heard of Chasel.

He was the only son of a real estate tycoon in San Tico.

Although he was from the school next door, everyone knew of his glorious deeds of racing Ferraris in school.

He liked to show off as much as Dennis.

However, Simon admitted that Chasel was really rich. He was fundamentally different from Dennis, who pretended to be rich.

He was a typical playboy.

"Wow, that girl is so beautiful! I think I've seen her in a short movie before!" Grote praised sincerely.

A short movie?

Was it the kind of short movie that Simon had in mind?

"If you've seen it, don't say it out loud. Be careful that she would come over and beat you up!" Simon reminded him out of kindness.

"Hahaha, you've misunderstood. It's not those short movies." Grote explained, "It's a small-budget movie."

"Isn't it natural for a student from an art academy to act in a movie?"

"This is my first time getting close to an actress." Grote said excitedly, "Simon, let's go and get an autograph together!"

As he spoke, he did not care if Simon was interested or not. Grote pulled Simon and ran to the two of them.

"Hello, Miss Sofia. I'm a fan of yours. Can you please give me an autograph?"

Grote's action delighted Sofia.

She covered her mouth and her eyes narrowed into slits. "Oh, it's just a movie. It's not a big deal."

As she said that, she pulled out a pen from her strapless dress as if she was performing magic.

She slightly raised her fingers and signed Grote's white shirt.

"Oh my, are you here to ask me for an autograph too?" Sofia noticed Simon.

Simon was a handsome man with outstanding temperament and wore very tasteful clothes.

Sofia condescendingly took the initiative to strike up a conversation.

Her smiling eyes and her sharp chin made her look like a fox!

Being stared at by such a covetous gaze, Simon took a step back.

"I'm sorry, I'm not."

Sofiia did not expect to be rejected. The tip of the pen she raised froze in the air.

The students who heard this looked over, and the scene was extremely awkward.

They didn't know each other anyway. Was there a problem?

Simon looked at the crowd in confusion.

In the blink of an eye, he saw Chasel glaring at him with dissatisfaction.

Simon thought to himself that Chasel couldn't blame him for this, right?

He really didn't know his girlfriend.

She forcefully wanted to give him an autograph, and no one was allowed to reject her!

"Dennis, are you talking about this kid?" Chasel looked at Simon with displeasure.

"Senior, that's him!"

Dennis seemed to have finally found an opportunity and smiled proudly.

Chasel smiled contemptuously and did not even look at Simon.

"You? I heard that you took over someone else's mess and still call yourself the boss, right?"

His inquiring ability was not good.

He did not find out everything.

"I am indeed the boss, but I did not take over a mess," Simon said politely.

Hearing that, Chasel laughed out loud. "Who are you kidding? You even have the nerve to call yourself the boss with that small Creative Company?"

"Creative's partner ran away with the money, and you're still in a hurry to take over. Do you really think you've gotten a great deal, and you're still putting on airs with me!"

Ran away? Took over?

When the people around heard that, the way they looked at Simon suddenly changed.

There was no obvious emotion on their faces, but their bodies had taken a step closer to Chasel.

Only Grote, who was next to Simon, did not move.

Simon was not surprised at this reaction.

It was normal for a student who had just graduated and was in a hurry to find a job to move closer to someone who looked rich and powerful.

"Simon, so you're so miserable!" Grote said sympathetically.

Simon realized that this kid was really kind-hearted and simple-minded.

He was completely different from that motley crowd!

"It's not that bad. I've already solved the problem." Simon smiled.

Chasel did not want to let him go. He continued to ridicule, "You will be stricken by lightning for being pretentious! Your Creative Literary Network is now selling the copyrights. You've already dug out all your assets!"
