Ivy was in Laura's apartment at the time as she had already been living there for a few days. She actually does that to avoiding Jay for this past few days after what happen last time between them.
She becomes uncomfortable now as Mr. Lee has been already dead and only both of them inside the big house, other than the maids, of course. So, she chooses to get out of the house without Jay's knowledge, and starts living here with Laura's permission. In addition, she also used this time to think about the new proposal that Laura gave her.
She also off her phone that she uses to contact Bennet and Jay. She thought that Bennet probably get mad as he can't reach her to know about Jay and his suppose to be assets, but she didn't think that Jay also will be looking for her like crazy.
