::ACTUAL TIME::
Irene hurried into her luxurious home with an angry face. Her only target at the time was her own husband Victor. What she heard from her 'father -in -law'' a moment ago definitely made her body completely frozen. She needed to know the real thing from Victor's own mouth. Is it true that he is the one who killed her father in the past?
Victor, who was still injured from a shootout with his father's gang the other day, stood at their bedroom window, as if waiting for something. His cell phone rang at the time and after seeing the caller's name he finally picked it up.
"Sir, Mrs. Irene already knows the truth from Mr. Bennet. Should I get into your house with some back up or can you take care of it yourself?" His trusted right hand man, Charles, informs the situation.
"It's fine." Victor's voice seemed to have guessed what was going to happen. He was indeed waiting for that day after so many years. He has no regrets. His only regrets was that he loved her so much that it hurt because he knows that this is the end that he must go through.
"But sir?"
"We both know this will happen one day. I pass everything to you and please manage it as we already discussed, if you not able to contact me after this. Please...tell Ken about this later. Also if you can't reach me." Victor is still calm.
Instead, Charles has been just silent for a moment before giving up.
"I understand, sir." Then, he ended the call.
With that Victor put down his cell phone on the table while gazing at the view outside his house.
"I think today is the time, right?" Victor smiled in pain.
From the day he asked Irene to marry him, he was tormented by guilt, especially with the knowledge that Irene would never forgive his choice if she knew the truth about it.
However, once they got together, he felt so happy being with her that he even forgot about that day and he was determined to continue to be with her for the rest of his life. But today, the story is brought back. And... He was the one who prepared his wife to punish him from the beginning.
At the same time, Irene opened the bedroom door and approached her husband who was still standing in front of the window.
"Tell me it's not true. Tell me! " Irene shouts suddenly.
Slowly Victor turned to look at his wife's condition. 'She's still pretty as ever. Is this really the last time I can see her?' He thought to himself still not answering.
"You're smiling? You still dare to smile at me right now? " Irene felt even more angry when her eyes saw Victor who seemed to have no guilt at all.
"What's wrong?" Victor asked, pretending not to know what she meant at the time.
Earlier, Irene went to her father -in -law's headquarters to take revenge for hurting her husband, but something else happened. Her father -in -law told her one news which she had never been known for several years after she and Victor were married.
"Don't play stupid Victor. I know your people have already told you about my move. So tell me directly. Is it true what that jerk said about you kill my father before?" Irene asked coldly.
Even Irene didn't say it out loud Victor could see from her eyes that she really believed the story. And that hurt him because that was the truth. Also, that's what he hoped she would feel, so that she not hesitated to kill him.
"What did I suppose to say about it? Whatever it is, you already believe it, don't you? Because your love for me has never been strong enough from the beginning. That's why you doubt me."
"Shit. Just answer to that question and don't dispute my feelings."
"There's no need to feel guilty for your doubts because that's true." Victor finally confessed. His eyes never left his wife's face as if he was afraid that she would disappear.
Irene's eyes began to redden from holding back the tears that suddenly wanted come out.
"Did you know they were my family when you killed them?" Irene began to investigate.
Victor was smirking. Deliberately he wanted to make his wife to become even angrier.
"If I don't know about it, why I was with you that night? It's certainly not a coincidence."
As fast as lightning, Irene pulled out her gun that still loaded with a bullet and pointed it at Victor.
"I killed you. I swear!" Irene could not hide her anger and frustration anymore. How come she falls in love with someone that kill her own father?
"Then kill me if you can. I won't be an easy opponent even it's you." Victor declares their battle because he didn't want his wife to feel guilty after killing him, so he wouldn't choose to die easily.
Now, their battle is on...
