Chapter 16 - Unfamiliar location

When the next day arrived, Jim was the first one out of his room, and he didn't know why, but his body insisted on training even before he had a chance to eat. While experiencing this sensation, he reasoned that he needed to exercise extensively before losing his memory, so he strolled out and began practising with one of the training swords he had brought with him. During the time he was doing it, Jon walked out and yelled, "not like that!" when he saw him.

"All right," Jim remarked, and when he glanced at Jon, who was in a particular position, he mirrored it, and then he began training in that manner. He was only able to accomplish it because of his muscle memory, but he could still feel that his top was strong, despite the fact that his lack of footwork made him appear like a stupid now. Natasha came out and said, "breakfast," after he had been training for a while and Jon was re-evaluating how he should go about it.

"All right," Jim and Jon agreed at the same time, and then they walked into the house. When they arrived, Jim ate and then returned to training to become more proficient in the areas where he might improve. Ann walked out to check on her small garden as he was practising his skills. As soon as she arrived, Adam approached her and inquired, after taking a glance at her, "Do you want my assistance?"

"In what?" she inquired, as she looked around.

Taking a glance at him

"In this," he said, and then he sprayed a small amount of water onto Ann's flowers, causing them to bloom. As soon as she saw it, she smiled and expressed gratitude by saying, "Thank you." With a smile, he responded, "No problem." Then he looked her in the eyes and questioned, "Do you enjoy flowers that much?"

He glanced at her and remarked, "I love nature so much." She continued, "I can take care of everything," and she looked at him again. "I'd always wanted to do it, but they kept me imprisoned and wouldn't let me to do so."

Nobody began their journey there because they had a large number of missions to do. The moment he handed them to her, she immediately began working on them. Adam doesn't want to bother her, so he goes to the training facility with Jim and Joe. He assisted them with a brief command of whoever and what they needed to modify when they were training under a captain who had a lot of problems that they needed to work on.

They were training when Natasha and Ann arrived and began training with them; for Ann, it was the first time she had trained with her sword in approximately one year, but because everyone was afraid of her, she hadn't touched it since the moment she was chosen, and it had been with Elder Smith; now it was in her room, but she was still afraid of it so she only covered it with the material she had brought with her from the dungeon.

When she was learning how to fight, it was really difficult for her because she failed every time the captain instructed her to adjust her strategy. While in this state, she halted at one point because she didn't want anyone to laugh at her, and then she rushed to the forest to escape the fury she felt as a result of her failure.

While watching it, Jim chased after her because she appeared to be unfamiliar with the location, and everyone else was left in the dark about what had happened. When they were in the forest and the rest of the group chased after her, she came to a halt and began to cry out, "I'm a failure," as tears streamed from her eyes as she spoke.

When Jim and the others go closer to her and look at her, her protective magic kicks in, and when a large amount of dirt begins to fall around her, it forms large barriers around her to protect her. Ann began to sob more frequently because she was feeling more and more like a failure, and she was worried that everyone around her would make fun of her as they arrived.

When Jim saw it, he looked at Jon, and then the captain stated, "She was taken away and locked up." She probably doesn't want you to know why, and she's probably protecting herself right now."

Upon hearing "Fuck," Joe and Adam dashed to where she was hiding and, while encircling his fists in flame, he began digging for her in the bushes. He didn't care about him while he was doing it; he only cared about getting Ann away from there. After digging for her, he looked her in the eyes and told her to come here: "OK, come here."

"No, you'll make fun of me," she responded.

"We're not making fun of you. Have you ever seen someone with a smile on their face? The only thing we have is training," Jim explained as he rubbed his blood-splattered palm around her earlobe. "Look, everyone is terrified of you, so can we just walk out?" says the speaker.

"All right," she said, and as soon as she realised she was using magic, everything went down. When Ann realised that everyone was terrified of her, she apologised and said, "I'm sorry."

When he reached her, he gently wiped the inside of her cheek. "I don't know what happened, but look at me and listen," he said as he looked her in the eyes and proceeded. When he did it, she looked at him for a moment, and then his voice returned. As a team, it's difficult for us to laugh at everyone who is worse at something than we are, and we can only train to become better at it, so please don't expect us to do so. I'm not sure what happened to you in the past, but keep in mind that these Black Owls are not the same as the folks you used to live with or the individuals you met earlier," she says.

"All right, captain," Ann responded as she looked him in the eyes, and then she washed her face and said, "I'll try to be a better person in the future."

"Don't try to do it," Jon warned emphatically, and when he said it, the room fell silent.

"Do you think you're okay?" Harry inquired.

When Ann responded "yes," he looked at Jim's hands and added, "it will hurt a bit." Ann agreed.

"It's not a problem," Jim said, staring at Harry, who had understood the power of his magic and had begun to heal him. The entire time he was doing it, Ann looked him in the eyes and said:

"Please accept my apologies."

As soon as her hands were healed, he glanced to the captain and said, "All right, we'll begin our training."

Everyone said "Okay," and then they returned to the subject following what had happened earlier.
