Maelle looked nothing like a person who could betray him. He does seem to be more mysterious than mist because of his background as a priest from a lesser understood religion, yet that should not be enough to misunderstand him and make assumptions.
Besides, Xendros had now fully understood what the Crimson Wolf was all for. It was a religion that does not rely on all the doctrines and laws that humanity has to follow in order to have a 'good' life. It is a religion that focuses on humanity's freedom of his own will.....
Something that must not be dictated over by anything or anyone. Only then will truth prevail within us, and acceptance of nature will be achieved.
Everyone was free to visit the temple anytime they like and not receive judgment even if they barely visit. Even the 'followers' rarely proclaim they were followers, or show signs of their devotion.
