Erica is a junior in a high school she is the team captain of her volley ball team and a straight A student. Her parents are both high governmental officials working in the white house. Although both her parents are immigrants from Ethiopia she was born and raised in the United States. She has never been to Ethiopia but speaks fluent Amharic. She communicates in Amharic with her parents at home. She is 5'8 tall with a slick body, her eyes are deep brown that makes you want to look them at forever, she has long dark hair that reaches to her waist. She has a fair skin that's not too tanned or too pale typical Habesha skin. She has learnt all her school years in Rising star school and still is attending there. She has made lifelong friends from there especially Mel. She was in third grade when she first met Mel; Mel was transferred from another school in LA. She was a nervous little puppy trying to introduce herself when she felt a connection with her; she was just like her when she transferred from New York when her parents became state officials. From then on they became friends, more like sisters, and are inseparable. She has been helping her lot these days on her relationship problems. She has been having them too much after deciding to date Nick.
Nick is her senior, a gorgeous blue eyed 7 feet boy in her school's basket ball team. They first met at a training 4 years back they were practicing basketball while she was having her volley ball training. He was new to the team she was too and started chatting about school and their teams and became good friends for the past 3 years. But in the middle as they got older they felt a sudden attraction building up between them and decided to upgrade their friendship into romance. She started to find a lot about him after that for starters she didn't know he was the jealous type, he has been nagging her that her coach has a thing for her although she kept denying it, it was source of argument for them. Yesterday he was mad at her for staying back after her training which she did at the request of her coach. Nothing happened of course they were just chatting as she was cleaning up after the gym but he refused to believe her and wanted her to set some boundaries and had massive argument and they left without reaching a solution. She felt sorry and wanted to talk to him more but it was too late when she reached home instead she texted him to meet her today at their favorite place after school but he hasn't shown up until now and it has already been an hour since she got there.
She started to wander if he actually decided to cut ties with her and not talk to her but again she thought he is not that kind of person to ghost her after all they have been through so even if she wanted end he would have at least talked to her. So, what is wrong then? All of a sudden she started to feel anxious and her palms started to sweat. What's wrong with me she thought he is just late nothing much she tried calling him for the 4th time but still no answer. "What the hell? Why isn't he at least picking up or texting back? Did something happen to him?"
While she was lost in her thoughts, her phone started to ring and she got relived and was ready to pick up but suddenly felt bumped as she saw her screen its unknown number. She said who is trying to call me now and picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Is this Erica wells?"
"Yes it is? May I ask who this is?"
"We are calling from the police, I am under the impression you know Nicholas Chadwick?"
"Yes he is my boyfriend why?" Why are the police calling about nick? What's going on? Her heart started to beat faster and her anxiousness is getting worse by the moment.
"Ma'am we would like you to come to our station, Nicholas was murdered last night."
Erica couldn't believe her ears, she couldn't talk, couldn't breathe and suddenly everything goes black.
