"Meddy why are you talking like that , what has gotten into you?"
"Sister Ezrine I'm sorry it not my intention to talk to you like that , it's just that the secret that this family is hiding can prove to be very dangerous for us and I don't want to lose my sister." Meddy explained getting emotional.
"Don't worry , the lunar eclipse night is near. We will get to know how this family is connected to Panola. Every single one of my serpents' and my mom's culprits will not be speared and that is Nogapele Agaton's oath" I reassured Meddy while I got angry.
"But then Ezrine I can remember something" Meddy stated.
"What is it?" I asked her hastily.
"Someone died for you!" Meddy said and she exclaimed me.
"What are you saying , who is that?"
"I don't know I can't see clearly."
"It's okay we will find out soon. Let's go have breakfast."
We went into the lounge and I was surprised by what I saw there and I even asked Meddy to pinch me thinking I was going mad. Hermon was doing my duty of serving breakfast and surprisingly Mr Smith was on the table with everyone today.
"Hey , Hermon what are you doing this is my job?"
"Honey I told you that I would help you with everything and I'm taking action now."
"But Hermon weren't you supposed to meet with an important client?"
"I were but he cancelled the meeting."
"Hi everyone" oh great , that annoying Matilda was back from sobbing. I wonder what drama she would put on today. I don't know why I hated her so much but I just did.
Everyone greeted and hugged her except for Hermon. "Why do you have to make noise this early in the morning?" Hermon asked Matilda with a frown on his face.
"I'm not making noise brother in fact I'm greeting you all but today I will not give in to your negative energy." Matilda stubbornly answered back in a disrespectful tone.
"Mom and dad , Michael and my sister in laws I've got very good news to share. I have a boyfriend whom I love so much and I want to marry him." Matilda shook everyone at the table but there were no emotions on Hermon and father in law's face.
"So you went ahead with this?" Hermon finally asked.
"Yes I did brother" Matilda answered.
"What wrong with you Matilda? Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Is this the age to get married ? Do you know anything about that boy? That boy is our business rival as well" Hermon yelled at Matilda so loud that I felt really bad for Matilda.
"First thing first I can make my own decisions , secondly ask your wife Ezrine as to how old she was when she firstly got married and Michael and I are twins but Michael got to marry and I'm not. How is that justified brother?" She yelled back rudely as if she was not talking to her elder brother rather her peers
"Don't you dare drag honey in all of this , she is my wife you have to respect her. Don't ever mention her faults" Hermon stood up for me when I just froze in my position.
How can I betray someone as kind heated and caring person like Hermon. I had to tell him the truth about me being a serpent and that too the empress of The Nosega realm Nogapele Agaton.
"Come in!" Matilda called out for someone and suddenly we saw a man walking inside. This man was the definition of perfection. He was extremely handsome ; he was tall , average , light skinned and his bone structure was just on point , he was the man.
"Hi my name is Glen Frank , Hermon knows me very well." The man said. His voice was raspy than Mr Smith's.
Mr Smith and Michael seemed impressed by what they see while Hermon stormed out of the hall. Mrs Smith ,Meddy and I exchanged gazes and we pretended to be happy with Glen.
Something about Glen was definitely wrong because when I touched his hand when I walked past him, his hand was very hot I got Burnt and my serpent scales came out on their own. I quickly went to Meddy to ask her.
"Only old enemies can cause this kind of reaction on you" Meddy explained after listening to my statement.
"I don't understand. What if it's Panola" I tried to understand.
"No we don't know that for sure , we don't remember how Panola looks , what are his powers nor do we know how he chooses to catch his prey."
"But Meddy what if it's him?"
"And what if he is not."
"We have to be careful , you are already safe because you are free from the scent , no one can ever tell that you are a serpent. I'm going out to seek answers" Meddy explained well before she shapeshifted and went out of the window in her serpent form.
I remembered that Hermon was angry earlier so I had to go and check on him but then I remembered that I also wanted to reveal my truth to him , so I took my human snake avatar and I went to our room but Hermon was pacing around in the room so I thought it was a bad idea to reveal my truth to him today so I went back my normal self.
