Chapter 49
We arrived at the base while the sun was about to go down the horizon. The sky was changing colors from orange to heus of deep dark lilac. The soldier we rescued was whisked away as soon as he got out of the jeep we were riding on, while the five of us were instructed to go to our designated barracks and wait for further instructions.
We've been wanting a decent bath for a long time. And since they wanted us to wait for further instructions which would probably arrive in the morning, the five of us hurried to use the barracks' bathroom. We also needed to do laundry since our uniforms looked like hell broke loose on them.
After putting my uniform into the washing machine, I walked towards the bathroom. It was a standard communal bath with stalls of showers with no barriers and a big bath tub that could accommodate a whole squad of female soldiers.
