"My Queer," Feng kneeled and respectfully spoke as if he said 'My Queen'
Da Lok was trembling while the poisoned man was covering his face with both hands. His eyes, which were curved upwards, were peeking through his fingers.
"Have your nipples fully erect this evening?" Feng looked at them with a suave smile, making Da Lok burst into laughter while the poisoned man, who has the appearance of a wise sage, was shaking.
"Pfft- pft!..." his cheeks were puff. He wanted to retain his sage expression but completely failed.
"Husband, are you cheating?" Feng acted as two people and sniffed the air, "Why does your breath smell like Chongan's dick?"
"My Queer, how do you know the smell of Chongan's dick?"
"Husband..."
After more than an hour Yong Li left the old swordsman poisoned in Da Lok's care, Feng had been continuing on his joke until Da Lok no longer cared and just laughed.
As for the old swordsman, he had great enmity towards Yong Li. Hearing his enemy getting insulted like this was just too hilarious even for his age.
Only when Feng got tired did he retire his joke. Da Lok was gasping for air. Lastly, the old swordsman was relieved that Feng finally stopped. As he lied on the bed, he couldn't help but remember the joke.
"Ha... haha...! Ha..."
"That... that was good... and also bad..." Da Lok said as he rested. This was the first time that a cultivator at the Refinement Body Realm was able to make him, a cultivator at the Mind Tempering Realm.
"There are no bad jokes, only wrong listeners." Feng said, relaxed.
"Don't try... to go around it, smart-ass, it is bad because it might take our heads away..." although Da Lok said that, he was still smiling.
After fully resting, Da Lok stood up and dusted off his cassock.
"Hu-! Let's get back to work and treat this guy over here."
"Okay, so what will you do?" Feng asked while observing the man as if he was not being looked back.
The swordsman frowned and now that he thinks about it, what is a kid doing here?
"I first need to know how strong the poison had affected his body. Wrong dose of medicine, whether too much or too little, will have side effects." Da Lok said as he pulls the chair closer to the old man and asked, "Where were you attacked by the poison?"
"... here..." the swordsman calmly pulled his shirt up and pointed with a rough voice. His hands were still roped but in the front so he was still able to move it.
Da Lok saw that the swordman's stomach and saw a horrible scene. In front of the swordsman's toned muscular abdominal muscles was a circular green mark. In the middle, it is as if the skin was cracking and at the very center, it had already disintegrated.
"Woah..." Feng reacted.
"Yep, the bite from Head Yong Li's spirit animal, the Petrifying Snake or more commonly known as the Strand of Medusa."
"... nice abs."
"Wait, that's where you woah-ed at?"
Ignoring Da Lok's question, Feng asked inwardly.
'Wait, Medusa? Is it the Medusa I know from the Greek Mythology?'
[Greek Mythology? What's that?]
'It's from Earth, I'll tell it to you later.'
Feng then watched Da Lok figure out how to remove the poison and after several check-ups, he was finally able to give the old swordsman the proper medicinal pills.
"This is for suppressing the poison and this is for removing it. The former, you have to consume at least once a day and the latter, three times a day."
'He's like a real doctor...' Feng commented.
After the old swordsman consumed the pill for removing his poison, Feng asked.
"Old man, what's your name?"
"Feng, you do know the person you just called old man is a Sword Cultivator at the Ninth Stage of Mind Tempering Realm, right?"
"Yeah, so? He's tied, what's he going to do?"
Da Lok could only shake his head, "Your choice, I don't know if you're brave or dumb."
[Dumb]
"Before you ask, you should tell yours first." the old swordsman only said calmly as if he was not in his enemy's base.
"My name's Feng, a cultivator at the Fourth Stage of Body Refinement Realm."
Hearing that this kid is already at the stage didn't bother the swordsman that much as if it was not that surprising.
"Zhang Min Luo from the Zhang Min Clan of the Feng Dynasty. Ninth Stage of Body Refinement Realm."
"Woah, Zhang Min Clan, so that's why Head Yong Li puts you in high regard. It's not common for him to praise someone." Da Lok raised both eyebrows.
"Hmph." Zhang Min Luo only snorted to this.
"Wait wait wait a minute! Most importantly, my ego is tingling, Feng Dynasty!?" Feng creased his forehead.
"What a peculiar ego you have... since you're just nine, you don't know mu-."
"Wait, he's just nine?" Zhang Min Luo suddenly cut Da Lok's words. Realizing this, he cleared his throat, "I apologize for my rudeness. Please continue."
"Huh, a nine-year-old kid at the Fourth Stage of Body Refinement Realm, it's really quite shocking..."
Da Lok then explained to Feng that three dynasties split the Humming Wind Province. The three dynasties cover more provinces and the Humming Wind Province is just at the center of these three. It is quite peaceful because one is afraid of the other two so no one was trying to take land for themselves... openly that is.
The Feng Dynasty had already taken most of the province. This is evident in the naming since the name Feng also means wind. Naming themselves after the element of wind signifies that they are under the Feng Dynasty.
"Then am I somehow the secret long-lost prince in this Feng Dynasty?" Feng asked.
"However, the Feng Dynasty only covers from south to east. The reason why the north that the Xin Dynasty covers is filled with names that are related to the wind is that it has just been recent since they've taken over it. Not to incite the Feng's counterattack, the Xin Dynasty didn't change the names." Da Lok continued as if he did not hear Feng's question.
"Wait, shouldn't it be easy for a dynasty to send a spy and know that they have lost control over that part of the province?"
"I'm a bandit so I don't know." Da Lok shrugged his shoulders.
Before Feng complains, Zhang Min Luo butted in.
"It's because the Feng Dynasty is the strongest between the three. The Xin Dynasty uses its name to fend off the Shing Dynasty. This avoided skirmishes from lower class people while the higher class of the Feng Dynasty agreed to this while keeping a portion of the city and town's taxes."
Both Feng and Da Lok looked at Zhang Min Luo.
"Sorry, that must be complicated for a nine-year-old boy."
"No, it's okay, I understand it well. In short, it's politics and corrupt nobles, right?" Feng replied and waved his hand.
Zhang Min Luo made a surprised and pleasant face as he nodded, "That's correct."
After that, the three made a long chit-chat. Zhang Min Luo is a refined old man who didn't show any enmity towards Da Lok even though he is a bandit under Yong Li.
Da Lok is easygoing and found amusement in those talks while Feng kept getting information. It seemed like Yong Li killed one of Zhang Min Luo's brothers during a raid and Zhang Min Luo swore to take revenge. However, he had no knowledge the Yong Li was actually a cultivator at Fighter Guardian Realm.
Since he had already sworn, he must be the one who should slash the bandit head that killed his brother, he can only die or take revenge successfully. That was one of the respectable Zhang Min Clan's undying traditions that kept them only second to the Imperial Feng Family.
Feng saw this as a typical heroic grandpa on his epic revenge quest with his honor on the line. And inwardly, his smile could reach both ears.
After that day, Feng was brought back to the cage to sleep. He doesn't sleep on the tent with Da Lok since there was an ongoing rumor that Da Lok is actually a pedophile.
Why would the Physicker Da Lok have fun with a nine-year-old slave? That was the bandits' question that they could only give one answer to...
'This is the final step on the first phase of my plan to escape.'
[You think it will work?] Rumia asked in deep worry.
'Eighty percent sure it will. I'm just skeptical about Da Lok.'
[Why? He's much closer to you than Zhang Min Luo.]
'It's because I still don't know what motivates him or even his goal. He's easygoing but he's actually quite secretive. Unlike Zhang Min Luo who wants revenge, Da Lok may actually be loyal or has some ties to the Fanged Tornado House.'
[Why are you eighty percent sure then?]
'It's because he didn't stop me from insulting Yong Li. If he's really that loyal, he should be respectful to the head of the house at least.'
[That's reasonable... but there's something I'm wondering about.]
'What?'
[If all that is under the Feng Dynasty is named after the wind, why is this house of bandits named Fanged Tornadoes? Are they under the Feng Dynasty too? If so, why is Zhang Min Luo captured?]
'... I'm curious about that as well... but we can only go as plan. We can't keep on standby forever. Let's just wait for Lin to step on the ninth stage while I cultivate hard.'
Two days later, Feng stepped into the infirmary tent. Making sure that only Zhang Min Luo and Da Lok are there, Feng said.
"Sense what I'm cultivation I am right now."
"What? You've reached the fifth stage? I can't believe you're actually this talen-...?" Da Lok's expression turned baffled, "Si-sixth stage!?"
Hearing this, Zhang Min Luo's eyes widened. He couldn't use his spiritual sense because of the Qi-Hampering rope but Feng was showing off his cultivation aura.
"But... you're just at the fourth stage two days ago?' his usual calmness was melting away.
"You want to know my secret? However, once you know it, it is either you're a part of it or you are an enemy of mine." Feng said ominously. Inwardly, he was having cold feet.
