ALANNA
"Come on, old man. Give me your best shot!" I yell and his lips curl into a sneer.
"Now, Azalea!" I yell and as soon as he channels the spell towards me, Azalea stabs him in the back, the tip of the sword protruding from his chest. The dark spell makes contact with the shield around me and bounces back. Then the old man lets out a cry of surprise before fading away like the windblown particles of the dust; the golden box containing the seal falling to the ground with a thud. Almost immediately, a translucent door appears right in front of me and relief washes over me.
"Azalea! Grab the seal!" I yell and she nods. She picks up the golden box and walks up to me. With a bright smile on her face, she holds my hand and squeezes it gently.
"Let's go home, girl friend" she breathes and we both step into the portal. In a flash we appear in the palace library, exactly where the first portal had opened.
"We did it!" I whisper and Azalea grins.
