I walk over to the glimmering water and put Jalia down next to it, I look in and the water slightly moves. I look at Klotic who walks over to join us.
"Would you like to go back to the other side?" Klotic asks.
"Not right now, but surely in a couple of hours." I respond. "We need to 'reconstruct', actually more like just add walls and furniture."
"I understand, what do you need me to do?" Klotic says.
"You take Jalia down to the other side and make it clean." I say. "Here, I bought two pairs of cleaning supplies that I could find."
I reach in my bag and take out the supplies for Klotic. He's like a normal person so of course I'd get him things that are normal sized. Then I take out Jalia's set, she gives me a surprised expression. The supplies for her are tiny so it's better to use. I haven't seen her stand up on two legs or anything. With that in mind, I made sure to only get things she can use with her mouth, so that it wouldn't affect her in a bad way. 'There are things that she can use with her paws, I need to show Klotic how to help her put them on.'
"Klotic, I want you to handle any floor cleaning." I say. "Jalia, you will handle spots Klotic can't touch, mainly holes or high up shelves."
I show Klotic where and how Jalia's things work, to put them on and show Jalia how to properly use them. Then afterwards, Klotic took everything down and Jalia too. I went and started to take equipment out of my bag, I was going to make furniture. Greffosh helped me choose out which tools I would need to build things. Surprisingly, before being rich on my past life, I was in the line of construction. So, this is more comforting than spending a much lazier life in a mansion. 'I'm getting to be pretty happy here, and now, life like this is not going away from me so easily.'. I get through the first set of furniture, the beds. The most material I was able to buy without using too many gold coins was wood. Most likely got about 40,000 precs down, just glad I had Greffosh around. It would've been bad to use the diamonds, I would get questioned so much. The table set that Greffosh recommended was really sturdy. It didn't have lots of problems, and it was really useful. Good for eating and it has places to put things under it, that's quite useful as well. It's almost unbelievable on how the elf bag Jastria gave me has unlimited storage. 'I wonder how Jastria's been doing… I probably gave her a heart attack, that wouldn't be okay.'. I finish up making the tables and walk to the outside for some fresh air.
"Ah, it's already been just an hour and I'm exhausted…" I say. "Maybe I should just sit here for a while, it wouldn't hurt to take a break."
I sit down, closing my eyes, I lean my body next to the cave. Then out of nowhere, my hearing rings for a few seconds. I jolt up and look around, I see nothing, so I lay back. Then it happens two more times, I had a feeling that this was something I knew. So, instead of painful hearing, I used my skill, five senses, then I heard a voice calling out my name two times after. 'Oh wait, she's actually trying it, hah!'. I quickly run to the voice and before I reveal myself, I look to see Jastria, with some bags on the ground next to her. Slowly I walk in the sunlight, and she sees me.
"Um, Al Krelin?" Jastria asks.
"Your calling almost made my ears bleed." I sigh. "They were ringing like crazy."
"Oh!" Jastria says. "I may have used a whistler, to call before…"
"What?" I say.
I walk over to her in slight annoyance.
"Do not ever use that again, Jastria." I say. "If my ears start to bleed because of you, you will not see the light of day."
"Understood." She shivers.
I sigh and walk to a tree to sit down. I look up at Jastria and almost feel bad. Though I jump back to reality.
"Now, make it quick, what do you exactly need me for?" I ask.
"I, Jastria Xil, am going to live with you!" Jastria says.
"What?" I say bluntly.
My mind is shocked and there is awkward silence in the air.
"You're kidding right?" I ask.
"I, um, no…" Jastria says.
'This literally can't be possible; I'm supposed to be trading with her. How is she going to just move in?' My mind is filled with questions and my stress shows. Then I start to pace around thinking of what to do. Finally stopping, I look at Jastria and walk up to her.
"No." I say.
"What?" Jastria says. "I said I am going to; it was not a question!"
"Well, sorry, but you can't just move in." I say. "Also, don't you have a home in the city?"
"I may or may not have been fired from my job." Jastria says.
"What, how did you get fired?" I ask.
"This was because of my reaction of you." Jastria says. "My boss fired me after seeing I brought you in for personal conversation during work hours."
'Oh shoot, so this situation is actually all my fault. How am I just going to take her in though?'
"Do you not have anyone else to go to?" I ask. "I can't be the only person you know."
"I have gone to many other friends, although they have full houses." Jastria says. "Instead of looking within the city, I chose to look for you."
'Oh geez, this lady is crazy. Does she not realize the most important problem here?'
"Jastria, I am slightly honored by your decision," I say. "But you can't live with a man!"
"I cannot think of anyone else that I can go to…" Jastria says.
'Geez, this isn't helping at all. There has to be a way that she doesn't have to live with me. Since she wouldn't know anyone, I'll try asking people around.' In final conclusion, I look away from Jastria. Then Looking up to the sky I give her an answer.
"Ugh," I say. "Six days."
"P-Pardon?" Jastria says.
"Six, days, Jastria." I say. "If I don't find anyone by then, I'd hate to admit it. Jastria, if no one else will take you in, I will have to let you live with me."
"I give you all my thanks, Al Krelin." Jastria says.
"It's nothing, just please don't bother the others." I say.
"Others?" Jastria says.
"Don't worry, as long as you don't get yourself involved with them, you won't have any issues." I say.
'Al, we have finished.' Klotic speaks telepathically and so I start to walk away back to my home. Jastria is slightly confused but she quickly takes her things and follows me. The two of us walk along the forest, in hopes of her keeping up. 'How is she still able to walk all this way?' Glancing to see that Jastria is panting while we are almost done with our walking, I stop to let her take a break.
"Put down your things." I say.
"What?" Jastria says. "Wait, where are we going?"
Jastria does as she's told and looks around. Then I take her things and start walking again. She just follows along more calmly. I slow down a bit for Jastria to keep up, but we finally make it to the entrance. Jastria looks back and forth at me and then the entrance.
"You live in a cave?!" Jastria exclaims. "Why didn't you tell me you don't have a home?!"
"Well, you never actually asked where I live." I laugh. "I just got the place cleaned and put in new furniture today, so don't worry."
I walk down the stairs and Jastria still follows as she is visibly confused. We enter the now brand-new looking cave, Jastria is left in awe. 'I'm so glad I got everything set up in time.' Klotic, holding Jalia, appears out of nowhere behind Jastria.
"Welcome back home, Al." Klotic says. "Welcome, Jastria."
Jastria jumps and screams, she was not prepared for Klotic. I burst out laughing after being able to whiteness Jastria almost falling over. Jalia jumps from Klotic over to me and I catch her.
"What is that, what are you?!" Jastria yells. "Also, why is that bunny flying?!"
Klotic walks closer as Jastria backs away.
"If you continue to back away from me, You will not be able to understand what my being is." Klotic says.
"Come on Jastria, trust me, no one here is going to hurt you." I say. "Just try to touch his arm or something, you can see that he can't exactly do anything."
"Alright…" Jastria says.
Jastria goes and lets Klotic get a little closer to her. Then she tries to touch him, Jastria instantly pulls back her hand. Then I start to walk over to them, I touch Klotic, and my hand felt like it was being vibrated from inside out.
"How could you be leaving your hand there?!" Jastria asks.
"Why not?" I say. "It's only being vibrated, a lot." I laugh.
Jastria looks at Jalia and stares for a while. Then she quickly pokes Jalia where her wound used to be, but Jalia only responds with a disappointed gaze.
"Is that the same bunny you brought to me?" Jastria asks.
"Yes, although she's completely healed now." I respond.
Jastria's look of suspicion rises, but instantly goes to an uncomfortable look as Klotic walks around. I follow and so does Jastria after me, he stops at the table. He sits down with no explanation. Then for no reason Jalia sits across from him.
"You need some explaining to do here." Jastria says.
I sit down in-between the two and start to explain the whole situation. That Klotic is an assistant of mine and a void, how I was not originally from this world. Though I kept to myself the part of Jalia being a mythical creature.
"You are like Flinda!" Jastria says in excitement.
"Oh yes, my grandmother." I say.
"So, you were the boy she told stories about?" Jastria says. "I'm disappointed, you grew in such a bad manner."
"The only way you can judge me is to know what I've gone through." I say. "So please, speak with maturity or you may be kicked out on your first day."
"You sound like the medical instructor, maturity or be kicked." Jastria says. "Do not start to tell me anything else now, like 'I personally know the king as well', that would be ridiculous."
In response, I silently look at her with a straight face.
"Oh, curse this, how to you know the king as well?!" Jastria exclaims.
"He was a childhood friend, died in a war and he's been here the whole time." I respond.
Jalia squeaks in short realization, then she jumps from my arms to the table top.
"Oh, Jalia, what is it?" I say.
"Why are you talking to the bunny?" Jastria asks.
"I didn't want to tell you this but she's a mythical creature." I say.
"Excuse me?!" Jastria stands. "How can you have such a powerful life already?!"
'It's not as powerful as she thinks it is.' I look back at Jalia who is touching Klotic like nothing is happening. Then Klotic nods in response to her, though I blacked out right when he looked at me. I started to look around, but I couldn't move, 'did I just come back to the void?' Then I see someone in front of me, it was a lady who looked familiar. 'Wait, that's… Talia.' She looks at me in tears and I'm quickly brought back to reality.
