Chapter 12 - So... is this it?

I see Jastria's face looking down at me and jolt my body to sit upward to then stand. Looking around, Jastria was sitting on the floor, I seemed to be laying down before I stood up. Jastria looks up at me in confusion. I attempt to make my clothes look neat, startled when I hear Jastria speak.

"Al?" Jastria asks. "What is going on with you?"

Jastria stands up and I face her direction. I sigh and look around for a moment, then back to her.

"I just had the worst first few seconds before passing out." I say. "Hm."

I look around to see if Jalia was still near, and I spotted her. Then I looked around for the stone. Klotic appears out of nowhere in front of me and holds up the stone. I slightly flinch back but notice that it's not doing anything at the moment. He then places it inside his chest area, and it disappears.

"Wait what...?" I ask.

"This is a stone that affects certain immortal beings, as you may have just experienced." Klotic responds. "It is called the Aurofia stone of the sand drones, it is used to distract higher immortal beings such as yourself."

"Wait, when did I become a higher immortal being?" I say. "I don't exactly remember this happening."

"Immortal beings have the ability to claim themselves as whatever they wish." Klotic says. "Al, you claimed yourself an elf to Jastria once, she thought you were of higher power." Klotic says. "That thought alone let you have the ability to claim yourself of an immortal being with higher power."

"What, how can a thought affect me?" I ask. "It makes no sense how that's even a possibility to me."

"Your skill, 'trust' allowed this connection to occur. You have not unlocked it now, but you do have an immortal trait of power that commends you to do anything you wish." Klotic explains. "There is another reason why, you had recently made a mystical creature your partner."

"What the heck... So, literally just being immortal makes me have a lot of power." I say. "That is not what I expected from this world...."

"I did think that you were a ruler!" Jastria says. "How did I not notice at first that you were nothing but a new being..."

Jastria looks away in embarrassed, I stand up straight and stretch. I look back at Klotic again and try to figure out how he did that with the stone. 'When I first touched him it felt like he was stone, but the second time he felt like a huge vibrator. This doesn't make any sense whatsoever.' I tap Klotic's chest and look at his face.

"How did you do that?" I ask. "I also wanna know what else you can do..."

"I have the ability to store objects within my body." Klotic says. "The Aurofia stone cannot affect you while in my possession."

"I was wondering why it didn't do anything while you held it so close." I say. "Is there a way to make it not affect me when someone else has it?"

"That can be dwelt with a complex magic spell that lasts as long as you are alive." Klotic responds.

"Why does everything I wanna do have a complex spell behind it?" I whine. "This is going to be so difficult..."

I look at Jalia and I walk over to her. She was on a table looking down, I tapped her and she slightly jumped.

"Hey, are you okay, Jalia?" I ask.

I see her look up at me as her ears move up, but the ears went back down, so did her head.

"It's not your fault for that happening, and I'm not sure if you saw anything either." I say. "It should've affected you as well, it would make sense since you're a mystical creature."

I hear a quiet and short squeal come from Jalia, I lightly pet her in attempt to comfort her. I look back at Klotic and I see that Jastria is still scared of his presence.

"Jastria, you need to show me where some elves are located." I say.

"What do you mean?" Jastria says. "It is incredibly dangerous to wander into an elf's land."

"Well, I'm a new being, I won't know everything instantly."

"I saw them on the way here...." Jastria sighs, "The nearest area that is located with elves is called Hollis."

"Take me there later." I look at Jalia. "I'm going to make sure I find a way to get you a human form."

Jalia looks up at me with hopeful eyes, I smile. Jastria storms over to me in rage.

"Do you not have a brain?" Jastria yells. "I could die from taking you there!"

"Then, just stick near me and you'll be fine." I say. "Like, hold onto my arm or something, I'm an immortal being for a good reason."

Jastria sighs as she noticed that Klotic is still creeping up behind her. I bring attention back to Jalia who was biting my sleeve, tugging on it lightly. She put her tiny paws on my hand, which made my heart feel warm.

"You're so cute..." I say.

Jalia emits a dim and soft light pink glow in her whiskers. I then realized I said that out loud and looked away in embarrassment. Klotic taps my shoulder and I look over towards him. I then see the stone inside him starting to glow a little.

"Is there something wrong with it?" I look at the stone.

"I feel that I cannot take the stone out." Klotic says.

I can't think of anything to do in order to help Klotic. I look and see him looking like his form of a human is somehow glitching.

"Klotic…?" I say.

My eyes then widen as I see bones begin to form from his skull to his phalanges. I saw muscles form (which was a little weird to see) and his softly pale skin with long green hair growing on his head.

"AHHH!" Jastria screams.

"You have a body…" I stand in awe. "That's so cool…"

"I… Oh, my voice feels different." Klotic says.

"Your voice is a little different." I laugh. "You need some clothes though…"

"Do you mind…?" Klotic points towards my clothes. "I feel staggered…"

"Of course!" I take my shirt off and help him with it.

I ripped it up and made it into a sort of temporary towel for him. He looked a little odd, but his face could make up for it.

"Who would've ever thought that a form of nothingness could actually become real." I say. "Do you mind if I feel your hand?"

"I do not." Klotic responds.

Klotic puts his hand out and I hold it. I was surprised of this, he actually felt like a physical being. Klotic's skin seemed soft and firm, unlike his stone feel, or vibration of the void figure. Looking around, I see Jastria in a corner of the room kneeling down towards the wall. Jalia was near Jastria's little corner as well, Klotic started staring at me though.

"Is there something wrong, Klotic?" I ask.

He begins to walk towards me and whispers into my ear. I'm in slight shock as I process what he tells me. I take a quick glance around the room and notice a crack in the wall. This crack had a tiny hole inside that looked as if an eye was looking straight towards me. Though, it vanished once I had perfect eye contact with it. The ground felt like it started to move and rumbling noises started to come from the walls.

"Everyone, get to the water!" I yell.

I begin to see Jastria carry Jalia in confusion and quickly cross into the water. Klotic slowly begins to walk to the water. Then, for a moment, there was silence. I stay behind Klotic and go towards the crack to look into it. I feel an itch inside my eye and back away. Then tiny insects begin to crawl out of the hole, from what looks like tens to thousands. I start to run over towards Klotic and drag him with me towards the water exit. I then look all around and the insects appear to have filled half of the room. I rush Klotic beside me and push him into the water. I go in and pull him up with me to the surface. I look up at the three of them and Klotic holds hid hand out to help me. Though, I shake my head and look back at the water. I look up to them again.

"I'll be right back." I look at Jalia. "Don't worry about me, please."

I look back to the water and begin diving in. I pause for a moment to look towards the exit, nothing happened for a few seconds until I started to hear a voice of a little girl. 'Help me...' It said. Instantly, everything went black.
