A cold chuckle escaped Gloria's lips, echoing through the tense atmosphere of the room.
"It seems you're determined to get what you want," she said, her voice dripping with a mix of amusement and disdain. "I wonder who will be your next target."
Yves met her gaze, his eyes burning with intensity. "I'm not like you," he replied, his tone calm but steely. "I don't go around painting targets on people's backs. I'm just protecting myself and those that I love."
"By eliminating anyone who threatens you and your loved ones. Isn't that right?" Gloria's smile widened, almost predatory.
