Chapter 32 - It’s Been a Long Time

Aarion gasped loudly. He screamed when he sat up. He struggles to get up and stumbles back to back while walking to the kitchen. "Need iron." He says tiredly. He grabs a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and quickly eats it. He goes to the faucet turns it on a placed his head side ways to drink the faucet water. He sighs after removing his head from under the faucet and turning it off. He wobbles his way to the stairs and steps on Magus' body as he is still unconscious. "It's so damn dusty around here." Aarion grumbled. He walks over to the door. He opens it and see a man there on the porch. Aarion closes the door behind him and slowly walks to the man. He uses the tip of his shoe and tap the man's back. The man moves in shock. He turns around and take his air pods out. "Wow." The man exclaimed. "Must be a mail man." Aarion said awkwardly. "Yeah, wow. Uh, it's just I can't believe someone actually lives here." The man said ecstatically. "I've only been in the house for some hours or days." Aarion chuckled. "Sir, it's 2029. You've been in there for seven years. That's all your mail." The man said as he toss the bag towards Aarion. Aarion sighs deeply.

Aarion looks through the bag. "They're getting married. Uh, why is it already open?" Aarion asked. "Seven years is a long time and your my last person I deliver mail to so I sometimes read them. The most recent one is from today. It's surprising actually, the mail stoped a six years ago so I just sit here reading all of them over and over again." The man ended his sentence with a chuckle. Aarion smiles. "Would you want to come in? It's kinda cold out here." Aarion suggested. The man slowly nods and follows him inside the house.

"Follow me. Oh, and watch out for the body near the staircase." Aarion snickered. The man eyes widen as he slowly followed Aarion stepping over Magus' body. "Uh, w-who's him?" The man questioned. "Not a killer if that's what you're thinking. He's alive just still in a 'coma' like I was. And he isn't my twin he's my grandfather I'm his doppelgänger. Who are you?" Aarion added. "Uh, Malakai." Malakai replied. "Wanna go to a wedding?" Aarion asked as they walked up stairs. "It's down south in my home town." Aarion stated. They both enter Aarion's room. "That's funny. Seven years ago there were like hundreds of cars going down south." Malakai explained. "I know. They were going to my home town, Clairwood. Uh, I'm gonna get you a suit but don't put it on now." Aarion mentioned and Malakai nodded.

Jaden walks in the door. "Just dropped the kids at school. How's it going?" Jaden asked as he sits in the kitchen across from Harmony. I still can't get in contact with him. I can't keep lying and telling Eden that her dad is coming for the wedding. And Alex isn't even here. I just don't know what to do." Harmony sighed. "If they don't show, they don't show. I'm done waiting for him coming back while I hold a dime and a war will start because of a mine prophecy. And it's a year late." Aiyana stated as she walks in the room. "Sorry I didn't take the kids to school I was tired from working last night. Dress picking is difficult." Aiyana added. "It's okay. You're picking them up though. I'm meeting up with Quincy to make sure he's setting things up right." Jaden mentioned before giving Harmony a kiss on her cheek and leaving.

"Aiyana. I know you felt it to." Harmony said seriously. "Why is it always us who gets these feelings?" Aiyana asked. Aiyana groans as Harmony stares at her. She knew what Harmony wanted. "Yeah, I felt it. I have no idea if it's him or… yeah I don't know. But if it's that maniac dick wad we might have a problem." Aiyana said. "No, no, no. We can think about that bull after my wedding. The ring ain't on the finger yet."

"Do you know how many people are coming?! We need more chairs on both sides!" Quincy boomed at the workers. "Quincy. Woah. Damn you can yell." Jaden said while walking up to Quincy. "You want it to be right?" Quincy asked, annoyed. "Nah, it's good. You're right it's gonna be a lot of people here. My family, Harmony's biological family is coming. And the factions." Jaden replied. "Okay you can leave. I have it. It'll be perfect." Quincy said with confidence. "You're bossy." Jaden said under his breath walking back towards the house. "Guys, put an extra chair by Eden's chair. Take your time."

Magus gasp as he wakes beside the staircase. "I am going to kill him!" He bellowed." He quickly gets up and walks over to the door. As he touch the door knob a wave pushed him away from the door. "A barrier. How cautious of you.

"You probably should've changed into the suit unless you wanna be seen with a mailman outfit on." Aarion said to Malakai while driving. "N-nah I'm good." Malakai said worryingly. "If you're thinking this is a kidnap, no. I have no reason to kidnap you. I just want to go to my best friend's wedding cause I haven't seen her in seven years. You're the one who said yes to coming with me. Haha. And it's quite funny too. I was never this straightforward when I was younger. Think of this like a field trip of seeing new people. And you know your seeing new people who might become your friend maybe a girlfriend. You never know Malakai. So stop being so damn scary." Aarion explained. "Are you serious? That's supposed to make me feel better?!" Malakai exclaimed. "No, me. I feel better. But now you're annoyed and that's better then fear." Aarion grinned. "Go die." Malakai said staring at the road ahead of him. Aarion manically laughed.

"Mama!" Trey said beaming with energy as he ran to Aiyana. Aiyana bent down and hugged Trey. "Where's Eden and Isaiah?" Aiyana asked Trey. Trey pointed to the entrance of the school where Eden and Isaiah walked out. Eden and Isaiah both walked over to the car where Trey and Aiyana were. "Okay let's go home. We have a big day ahead of us." Aiyana stated after they all got settled in the car.

"Auntie, can we go in the woods for a bit?" Isaiah asked before they walked into the house. "Okay, I'll get you three when dinner is ready." Aiyana said. They ran off into the woods.

"Where are the kids?" Harmony asked. "Outside playing." Aiyana responded.

"Let's try out this one. Trey, it's taboo." Isaiah said handing Trey a grimore. "Uh, I don't think we should do this one. It's more adult-y." Trey said closing the grimore. "This sucks. The only magic we can perform is magic from the Grant clan since our clans has evil magic. Or something." Eden fretted. "But your father, his dad's family studied time magic." Isaiah exclaimed. "Definitely not. Time magic is not good for young kids." Quincy said approaching them. "Let's do magic from the Walker clan then." Trey said excitingly. "Tomorrow I'll guide the three of you through each of your clan's magic. But dinner is ready so come on." Quincy said.

"Auntie Harmony, you should teach us magic." Eden said after swallowing her food. "Mhm. It's best if… the others do it. My clan specifies in light magic, I don't think I'd be the best teacher for you who is born with pure dark magic and me pure light magic." Harmony chuckled. "Yes Don't try to mix that." Aarion said. "What the… who said that?" Kristen quickly stood up from the table. A shadow appears behind Eden. "Oh, it's been a long time sweet daughter of mine." Aarion said appearing physically on the side of Eden.
