"Don't touch me." He commanded with a stern look.
Ava was startled, she looked at him and frowned. Why exactly did he call her out? Is he playing games with her now? What is wrong with him? Despite all her effort, he doesn't take a glance at her.
"Why won't I? Why do you think I followed you out? Why are you really avoiding me?" She asked sadly.
He stared at her vividly, so she wants him for herself. Is that why she always hurt Olivia?
"I don't want to have anything to do with you. I love my woman." He answered with a stern look on his face.
"Then, why did you call me out?" She asked angrily.
"For a warning. You entered her room to disturb us, I know of that. Today is not the first time you are doing it." He blurted out. She scoffed.
"Is that enough for you to call me out with such a sweet talk? You should have just told me. Well I didn't enter the room because of that anyway." She curled her lips.
"Then, why did you enter her room?" He asked scornfully. He knew she was lying.
"Really? Are you so concerned about that question? You won't even say something else." She asked feeling disappointed.
What exactly has she done wrong? Why can't he love her? Is she not beautiful enough? Why is he so obsessed with Olivia?
"But why Austin? Why are you hurting me on purpose? You know I love you so much, yet you decided to always avoid me. Please stop all this. Just a little emotion from you will calm my heart, please." Ava pleaded. She has to plead with him.
She had used her tactics as a woman but none worked. Now, she want to forget about her pride and plead with him. Maybe he will change. She wondered what love lotion Olivia used for him.
"I love someone else and I don't want to cheat or hurt her. You saw how sad she was when we were coming out, I hate to see her like that." He said sincerely.
Ava almost choked on his words. Why is he so addicted to her? She felt something extraordinary is going on. How can a man not lust over other women? She still hasn't seen anything special about Olivia.
"So, what if she's mad about it? And besides, no one will tell her we're dating. It's gonna be a secret between us." She suggested and tried to touch him but he restrained her.
"I don't want to cheat on her. I have loved her sincerely for years so why should I just break her heart suddenly?" He asked slowly.
"If it were you, how would you feel?" He inquired.
She looked at him shocked, she will truly be angry but why is he seeking her opinion? Maybe she might kill the girl out of jealousy but she won't let it show now especially when she knows she won't lose anything.
"But Austin, we....
"No but. We don't have anything to do together. We aren't meant to be. I love her and I don't want you." He blurted out without thinking of her feelings.
"I should leave. Don't forget what I told you, I won't tolerate it if you repeat this again." He added and made to leave but she stopped him.
"Why did you call me out? You haven't answered that question." She yelled.
"To prevent your insults and abuse. I don't want you to insult Olivia, that's the only thing you do when you see her. I hate it more when she cried in my presence because of your insults." He said.
"When you entered the room, I know that's what you want to do. I called you out to prevent it. And I'm warning you to stop it now, I won't warned you again. I will make you regret it." He threatened.
She became jealous and angry at the same time. Why Olivia? That slut truly have backups.
"Is that so?" She asked faintly.
She laughed self depreciating. Her world once crumbled when Olivia became the assistant. She never thought she would lose face to her again but today she did because of a man. She loved this man the moment she saw him and wanted him at all cost, only to discover he was Olivia's boyfriend.
Yet she still wanted him. She had done everything to get him but failed. Now, she just want to fuck him and nothing else but this man is so stubborn. He won't agree to it.
"What's so special about her?" She yelled. She felt like venting her anger on someone but who?
"Everything. Better let her be. I will do something you're not gonna like if you keep pestering her. Don't annoy me." He threatened.
She snorted and walked closer to him.
"And if I don't, what will happen?" She asked.
"You will know then." He said. His cold gaze sends Shivers down her spine.
He turned to leave but she held him back. She needs a very crucial answer from him. This will make her strategized well in the future.
"Is she more beautiful than I? Is she better than I?" She asked, looking into his eyes.
"Yes she is. More than thousand percent." He replied.
He removed her hand from his body and walked away, not looking back. She was more annoyed as she watched him leaved. She gritted her teeth and tighten her fist, not knowing where to vent her anger on.
"How can he say that? I was so stupid to think he'll touch me. I just followed him like a fool. What an insult? He insulted me because of Olivia. But why Olivia? Is she better than I? What sort of lotion did she give to him? He's so in-love with her. What's so special about her? What's....
"Everything is special about her. You just don't know it." Mia interrupted.
She just came out of her hideout. Though she wasn't hiding in the first place, she just became visible. Ava shivered when she saw her. Was she there along? So, she listened to them.
"How pathetic of you to lust over a man? You want Olivia to get hurt because of him, right? How could you try to seduce another woman's husband?" Mia asked impatiently.
"It's none of your business. What made you think he will marry her? They aren't married yet and you're already addressing them as couples. You must be joking." Ava sneered and tried to leave but Mia held her hand and dragged her back.
"I'm not done with you yet. Where do you think you are going?" Mia asked in a low voice.
"Should I report my whereabout to you? You want to start monitoring me, right?" Ava asked slowly.
"I don't really have your time. I have very important things to do." Mia said sarcastically.
"You don't have my time yet you are here with me. I didn't call you for anything. I don't have your time either." Ava retorted.
"It's not a threat but if you don't leave Olivia alone, I will feed you to the fishes in the sea. So take your precious time and stay away from her." Mia threatened.
"Fishes in the sea?" Ava murmured as she stared at her vividly. Is she crazy? How could she say that?
"You can joke with Austin's words but don't joke with mine, I'm deadly serious." Mia said and her eyes turn red. Ava stepped back surprised. She wished to fall down immediately. How can her eyes turn red? Is it normal?
"I'm....I...I.....
Ava stammered endlessly. She was very scared. Her eyes are still red, how is it possible? She couldn't stop looking at them, afraid she might die from stopping. Mia took a step forward while she quickly retreat back, afraid of being killed.
"It's okay, you don't need to be scared. Just be a good child and obey me then your life will continue peacefully. I'm not that bad you know." Mia reassured and her eyes became normal.
Ava retreats backward and fell close to the wall. She got up immediately, afraid she might die if she remains there. Those terrifying eyes kept pricking into her skull, she can't get them off her mind. Is Mia a Human at all? She had never seen or heard of anyone who could change eyes.
"You can leave. I'm done with you." Mia said and smiled.
Ava sucked in her breath, almost suffocating. She turned and ran away, not looking back. She wished Mia wasn't behind her. Those terrifying eyes are still hurting her head. If Mia could change eyes then maybe she can fly too. Or teleport. With that word in her mind, she entered her room and shut the door.
She looked around severally, hoping Mia isn't there with her. She was really scared to her core. She had never been these scared before. She kept recurring the cold gaze from those eyes, it was killing. She sat on the bed, trying to catch her breath. Her safety is tarnished in this house and she has to do something about it.
"Won't you say something? Don't you believe me?" Austin queried. He was standing in front of Olivia. With the view of things, she was sober. She glanced at him and hissed.
"I didn't do anything with her. I'm serious. Why will I cheat on you?" He added. He squats, trying to see through her but the more he tried the less he saw.
"Leave my room. I told you not to come back here." Olivia retorted. His presence irritates her. He looked at her and smiled, not minding her anger. He knows she will come around soon. He just need to be patient.
Olivia was more irritated with his behaviour. He doesn't seem to care about what she said. She felt like hitting him hard. Maybe then he will understand her anger.
"Do you think I'm joking? Or you want me to throw you out?" She yelled.
"Keep quiet. I haven't given you the right to throw me out of your room. Don't try it else I will do something dangerous." He replied. He bends over to her face, trying to kiss her but she retreat back.
"What are you trying to do?" She asked.
"Kiss my woman. What do you think?" He queried.
"Stay away from me. After embarrassing me in her presence, do you think I will forgive you easily?" She replied coldly.
Her indifference made him shivers. It broke his heart whenever she speaks that way. Is she that angry? What he did.....
"Leave now." She commanded.
He sigh deeply and pulled her head closer him. It was so fast that she didn't have time to retreat. She wasn't expecting that action from him. He kissed her slowly but stopped immediately.
"You won't let me kiss you?" He asked.
She was so scared that she couldn't reply him. Her mind was blank at this moment. She felt numb all over. He kissed her again, not minding her quietness. This time she responded and he became faster. He stopped and looked into her eyes.
"I want you." He blurted out.
"I'm still angry with you. Sex won't solve it." She replied.
"I know. That's why I won't leave you tonight." He said, not minding her reaction. Off course it was bad as she sneered at him.
"I love you." He reminded.
"Yet you embarrassed me in her presence." She retorted.
"I will make up for it." He promised.
"Better." She scoffed.
"Won't you smile?" He queried.
"Why?" She asked.
"Sex is best enjoyed in a good mood." He explained.
"Says who? Are you reading articles about sex online?" She sneered.
"My sixth sense said it." He said and smiled.
"Your dumb sixth sense?" She scoffed.
"How can you say that? I'm very intelligent." He defended.
"Says who?" She mocked.
"You're having fun, right? Come here." He said and pulled her to himself. She laughed when he tickled her. He bent over and kissed her, deepening the kiss.
Ava paced around in her room, feeling extremely nervous. Though she was scared, she refused to show it. She still can't forget what Mia did, the eyes still lingered in her memory. She refused to accept defeat. No she can't be defeated so easily. Those eyes won't make her back off.
"I can't believe everyone is protecting that scum. First her boyfriend, then Mia. I wonder who is coming next. What's so special about her? Olivia this, Olivia that, Olivia here, Olivia there. So annoying. I wish I can just remove her from the picture or eliminate her for life. Why can't I send her on a far away journey were she would never return?" Ava yelled as she paced around in her room.
She was feeling so restless. Her mind can't be at ease with the current situation. She couldn't get the position of being an assistant and also can't get her dreamed man. She can't just sit and watch. Not at all.
"But why is everyone making a fuss about Olivia? I still don't understand it. It's already unbearable for me. I can't take it anymore, how can everyone keep threatening my life because of her? That small wench, that brat, that useless fellow, I can't believe.....
"Who are you talking to?" Sophia interrupted, opening the door.
Ava yelled and turned to the door. She was very surprised. She wasn't expecting anyone. How can she enter without knocking?
"Do you want to kill me? How can you enter like that? Is that how you barged into other's rooms?" She yelled, staring at her. She put hand on her chest, feeling her heartbeats. She was really startled now.
"You will kill yourself. I don't need to do it for you. How can someone be talking so loud to herself? Are you that lousy? I heard your words from the beginning but I thought someone was here with you till I heard eliminate her. Do you want to kill her?" Sophia asked slowly.
"Did you see me killing someone? Must you barged into my room for that? I wasn't talking to you in the first place so you should have mind your business and go away but no. You decided to come here and torment me." Ava retorted feeling wronged.
"You should mind your business Ava. I have told you several times to let that girl be. Can't you forget about Austin? There are other men out there." Sophia said in a low voice. She felt disgusted. She had warned Ava more than thrice but she didn't listen.
"And who's talking about Austin? Did I call his name when I was talking?" Ava asked angrily. She can't succumb to her now.
"You can deny it however you want. I don't care." Sophia blurted out and walked closer to Ava.
"But listen carefully, if anything happens to her, consider yourself dead. I won't let you live to be with Austin either." She threatened.
"You are also threatening me. You have joined the crew, Olivia crew of threats. But why is all of you facing me alone? What have I done wrong?" Ava asked angrily.
"Well you are the only demon in this house, everyone is aware of that. So we have to protect the weak victim. Though she never showed her weakness but we know she's weak and that's the reason you won't let her have peace." Sophia reminded.
"Really? So I'm the demon in this house. How amusing?" Ava laughed self deprecating.
"At least you have brain to realize it. I'm leaving, better be careful before you will regret everything." Sophia said and walked towards the door, she opened it and turned to Ava.
"I mean my words, don't try me." She warned and left.
Ava watched as the door shut behind her. She was very shocked. How can everyone keep threatening her about Olivia? The more she thinks about it, the more confusion she gets. She walked slowly and sat on the bed, it's obvious she's still shocked.
She wasn't expecting Sophia to be among them. They are friends at least. She should be supporting her not Olivia. She bite her lips in annoyance.
"Olivia is a popular celebrity in this house. Three people have threatened me today because of her. You have finally gotten the attention of everyone. Hope you're happy now? Before dawn, Melina will threatened me too just for you. I better lock my door and remain in this room before I will be sent packing." She said and stood up. Not wasting more time, she walked to the door and locked it.
"It's better to be here. I shouldn't be killed because of Olivia. That scum is getting attention everywhere, suits her. Stopping here today doesn't mean I'm giving up. I will deal with you, Olivia. I won't let you go so easily. I must teach you a very hard lesson." She threatened. She sat on the bed, gritting her teeth.
She still feel restless about everything. Those threats are very critical. But she can't stop because of them. She tighten her fist.
"I must do something to send Olivia out of this house. I need to think carefully. I need to make Austin mine too and I won't stop till I get him." She reassured and smiled. She won't give up no matter what.
