Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12: The Westeria Flower Inside the ring is in Turmoil

After those women had left the room, two young men entered and served us. They apologize to us for the misunderstanding, but we're waiting to see if Noel will accept the apology.

Noel accepted the apology, and the atmosphere in the room returned to normal. We talk and joke around as usual.

Does Noel have mana like me? I'm certain that those heavy feelings earlier were caused by magic, but I'm not sure, and I don't want to complicate things for Noel. If he kept it a secret then I shouldn't dig more and I should focus more on my problems.

I'm not sure how I felt when Noel was angry earlier, but one thing is certain: it's best not to mess with him, but my institution tells me that I can rely on him and he will never going to hurt me, and I don't know why...

All of the foods are delicious, but the majority of them are spicy. We're still eating it even though it's spicy because it's so good. The spices in the Mapo tofu are so well seasoned that the aftertaste makes you crave it even more.

According to Ken, the foods in front of us are called Fried rice, Spring rolls, Steamed buns, Chow mein, Chop suey, Chinese noodle soup, and my personal favorite, Soup dumplings.

"...Mine, these are mine." Carole takes everything, places it on her plate, and then eats it. "Mmm... Delicious!"

Yeah, I agree. This feels like I'm in heaven. I'm at a loss for words when it comes to how delicious the foods are. I eat everything without missing any dishes because I can't pass up this chance to eat these foods knowing it's very expensive.

After we finished eating we decided to go to the market district to look around and buy some things. Now that we have someone loaded with us, we can buy whatever we want, which makes me very excited.

We are currently in a clothing store fitting a lot of clothes. I've lost count of how many outfits I've tried on since earlier. I'm exhausted because it's been an hour since I put on these difficult-to-wear clothes. You have to wear a blazer or robe, as well as additional jewelry to match the garments, which makes it difficult and exhausting, and finally, I can breathe because these are the last clothes I'll be wearing.

I'm wearing a light green fitted long sleeve top with a floral hemmed, paired with a light grey coat, white fitted pants, and black boots. When I looked in the mirror, I was completely satisfied with what I saw; it was ideal for my white hair and purple eyes, and it made me look like a high-ranking nobleman because the clothes fit me and it highlighted my features.

When I walk out of the dressing room, the twins are already dressed in those lovely outfits. Carole is dressed in a baby blue floral long sleeve dress with a leather corset and dark blue sandals. It's beautiful in a way that I can't put into words. Her red hair stands out too much, and her amber eyes make her seductive even at such a young age. I'm sure she'll be popular when she grows up.

Carole is a female version of Noel; they look identical except for their hair. Noel has a feminine feature, but you wouldn't mistake him for a girl; rather, he has a manly feminine feature that makes him look more like a charming guy with blue hair and amber eyes.

Noel is dressed in a white long-sleeved shirt with a black pattern circling his sleeve and a side black coat hanging in at his right shoulder. When you look at him, he looks like a prince that comes out from the storybooks.

"I'll buy everything and have it delivered to the church." Ken was conversing with the store owner as he purchased everything we had previously fitted.

We're dressed up in these expensive clothes that make us look like completely different people. I can't imagine how much these clothes cost, and buying a lot of them is so expensive. But can I expect when he's so wealthy?

"Do we need to change our clothes?" Carole asked as she turned around, feeling her dress twirl in a flow.

"Do we have to? I think we can wear it."I told her.

"Yes, you can wear it," Ken said then he looked at us. "It looks good on you guys."

Ken had already finished speaking with the owner so he approaches Noel with a recognizable look on his face. I rolled my eyes because I knew what was going to happen next.

"You look fantastic." He said this while looking up and down at Noel.

"Yes, of course, I am. I already know it." Noel said this with indifference for his compliment.

I can't really explain these two, they'll be going to flirt then turn to be cold and now I'm not sure how many hours I'll have to wait if I don't interrupt them. Before I could say anything, Carole yanked Noel away from Ken.

"You can flirt later, but we have to go now, and I'm excited to see more things," Carole said.

We've been here since after we finished our lunch, and it's already afternoon, and we can't pass up this chance so we left the store faster.

We walked around and bought things that we liked. We don't care how much it is since we have someone who is loaded with us. Until we felt so hungry that we decided to eat snacks. There are a variety of snacks available including cotton candy, peanuts, and a lot more.

We ate a variety of delectable snacks, but my favorite was street foods. I'm not sure how many qwek qwek, fish ball, and kikiam I ate until my stomach bloated to the point where I had to stop eating even though I didn't want to.

The twins are also enjoying the street foods, which they keep eating while dipping them in hot sauce. My favorite is the qwek qwek, which has a quail egg inside that makes me gulp, but I don't want to eat too much because I don't want to have a stomach ache later.

[A/N: Kwek-kwek, fishball, and kikiam are popular street foods in the Philippines, and I haven't eaten them since the pandemic began, and I'm craving and missing them.]

Ken seems to be counting the street foods Noel consumes with a worried expression on his face, so he asked him: "Do you want more Noel? If you eat too much, you might get a stomach ache later."

"All right, I'm going to stop now." Noel pouted but still obliged.

He looks at Carole, who is eating so much making her mouth so full that she can't chew properly.

"Carole, stop eating... Take a look at yourself! You look like a pig now." He squeezes Carole's cheeks and whispers something to her, making her flush while looking at me. I'm not sure what they're talking about that makes Carole blush like a tomato, but I brush it off.

"Ohhhh... Ken, what is that?" I saw a woman eat something I didn't recognize, but it piqued my interest. The twins looked at what I was looking at, and I could see the glitter in their eyes as they wanted to try it as well.

"That's halo-halo," Ken replied casually. "It's made of shredded ice with various fruits under and milk in it."

"I want to try it. Get that for me, Ken." Noel ordered him as if he were a boss. Ken simply agreed and walks over to the store to order it for us.

"Brother! I feel bad for Ken. You're so cold and bossy to him." Carole said making a sorry face.

"Am I really that cold to him?" He turned away from Carole's curious gaze and looked at Ken. "What am I going to do? I want to keep doing it." I can see an evil glint behind those angelic faces, and I can only feel sorry for Ken.

Tsk... Tsk...

I can only sympathize with Ken. If ever I'll find my other half, I will treat them better and devote all of my love and time to my special someone.

I noticed that Noel's personality changed dramatically over time. They even acted as a long-term couple in the past two days, despite knowing each other for less than a month.

I touched my head because I felt a sudden pain that made me dizzy. I regained my composure and attempted to move away, distancing myself so the twin wouldn't notice. The pain vanishes as if it never happened, so I look in their direction, relieved that they didn't notice.

I unconsciously touched the ring because I sensed an eerie aura. I tried to look around as I sensed an aura that made me shiver. Not far away, I see a group of seven cloaked men enter the restaurant where we had lunch earlier.

I can feel the ring becoming colder and I can smell a fragrant scent of a flower that is masking my sense of smell. When I look at the ring, I notice that the Westeria inside the ruby gem is violently moving, and the Wisteria flower is releasing its scent.

The last cloaked man who was about to enter the restaurant stops and looked around but before he can look in my direction I avoid my gaze and tried to busy myself pretending to look at the ornaments at the nearby stall.

I can feel a strong gaze on the back of my head, but I pretend not to notice and continue inspecting the ornament. The gaze lasts for a minute before I can feel at ease again when I can't feel it. I sigh deeply and turn to look at the restaurant, where I can see his back slowly fade away as he enters until I can't see him anymore.

What's that? How can a dangerous person be here? If it's not because of the ring I might not notice them and I know for one reason why the Westeria flower is in turmoil and it has to do with...

'Demons'
