"What are you doing here Nuria?" Azriel asked curiously. "I can't believe you are here."
"Believe it, Azriel. I came for you."
"For me?"
"Yes, Azriel, I know you needed me. I sensed it." She looked around, terrified of anyone hearing her.
Azriel blinked her eyes and said, "Are you joining them in hurting me?"
"No....Azriel, how can you say that? I never hurt you."
"Yes, but you helped Ashmeer the last time did you not?"
"I.....Azriel, sometimes, one has to do do many things to survive. But I never intended you any harm. I just want you to know that had you gone with Ashmeer then in the Blight, you might have had a better experience. He would have made you his consort and then you could have lived here in more peace."
"Peace?" Azriel asked incredulously. "You really think any of these people will let me live in peace?"
